Bought a 777 helm off market with 2 suffixes and 1 prefix, then after like 20-30 imprint copies i hit some garbage affixes, exactly mana, flat health and cold res. Then hit t1 dex, havoc till t1 mana, seal mana, crafted t1 phys throwing while DW, havoc again till t7 prefixes and t7 health, chaosed cold resistance and hit %health on the last chaos reroll xD

It's easy to farm though, just use rune of ascendancy to get first one and then imprint it in weaver's tree. And nemesis rarely bricks it. Some of my daggers went through nemesis - turtle cycle more than 5 times and still didn't brick.

I think with additional non-corruption content yes there is a valid reason to push the power ceiling higher. corruption isn't really a goal for the majority of players

Depending on the build it's pretty good. Plenty of movement speed and solves most of your crit avoid

A good amount of builds want specific unique boots so not all builds can use something like this but it yours can its solid

So, you’ve obviously done some slamming. how do you like the slamming system?

I actually like the slamming system itself in it's current form.
I don't like though, the acquisition of the items in the very late game. CoF prophecies are useless for exalts and boss specific uniques. For all other uniques it only provides fodder for rerolling and nemesis.
Additionally, It would be nice to have an alternative to unique items slamming. I'm not talking about using exalted items instead of uniques, but something different.

e.g. It would be cool if unique could "absorb" the idol. 1LP -> 1x1, 2LP -> 2x1 and 1x2 etc. And it would have some 'absorbtion multiplier', where stats on the absorbed idol are applied in some range e.g. 0-300%.

That's just one idea. In general i believe that having a choice of what to do with LP unique, and not only, what exalt to slam, could be really fun.

I like the addition of corrupted affixes in the next patch, but for the very-endgame it only adds additional step for crafting and it increases the crafting process vertically. Whereas it would be good to improve it horizontally, giving players more choices

I don't like the constant reset of progress back to 0 with every missed slam.
even if it takes 3 slams on avg, and you miss 3...you're still no closer than you were before your first slam

3 lp boots is a pain had amazing exalts and my boots all bricked its usable but man rather have 180 health than 80 armor,like it made me not want to keep slaming for a while , I get why some people leave after such bad rng

The slam/crafting system has great opportunity to expand with more rare crafting runes/glyphs or timeline/dungeon rewards at really high difficulty to reduce the RNG. Give the player the choice between more RNG/gambling with cheaper costs, or farming really rare/high difficulty content for more control. Either way it boosts engagement, draws out the endgame, and doesn't leave so much frustration in the crafting system.

TL:DR for ARPGs: use RNG to reward people and not to punish them.

Corruption in LE doesn’t take anything away. Interpreting a missed upside as a loss is more about player framing than punitive design.

Tbf, the teasers we have been given relating to corruption have been confirmed to not be the only possible results. According to Mike there is more than 4 possible outcomes. But yes, most people agree those teasers were rather poor.

It’s not about the teasers themselves. It’s about what happens to the item and the opportunity cost.

I suggest you go watch frozensentinels YouTube video about it, he does a pretty good job explaining why it’s so ”bad”.

Granted, Maybe mikes comment means that there’s a way that you can have a 0% chance to brick the item, and in that case we’ll have to re-evaluate. But that’s not how corruption works in any other ARPG, so no one is going to assume that until EHG says so.

If EHG doesn’t want us to draw those conclusions then they could have stated things from the start that makes sure people don’t draw those conclusions.
It’s their job to control the messaging. And if they opt out of doing so, then they can’t complain about what conclusions people dear
