there are two "popular methods". While the belt has higher chances the further away you go from the timeline, some people choose to rapid fire shades at the beginning. The way you do that is have a corruption difference of 100 or more between the timeline you're farming and your highest corruption timeline. In combination with the woven tree point that turns off corruption gain on shade kill, you can repeatedly farm shades in the same timeline, but the belt drop rates will obviously be way lower, with the tradeoff of being able to kill a lot of shades

Alternatively, the other method is simply imprinting the confluence woven echo and blasting regular maps normally, doing the first confluence that procs from the imprint. This has the benefit of better drop rates, and further away from the timeline start, but at the cost of doing probably less shades on average in the same timeframe

No problem, try both and see what fits your needs because the first method can be frustrating if you don't get a belt in a few kills which is the normal thing to happen

Yeah, sorry. That’s not what I meant to imply. I’m familiar with the peering issue, it’s nothing new in Germany and with Telekom. However, EHG also has to use a provider for their infrastructure, and normally that provider should make sure such bottlenecks don’t happen. It’s not completely outside of their control, unless they have absolutely no influence on their provider.

But well, companies tend to react slowly. With WoW it took 4 months back then, with PoE 7 months. So I’m not expecting any quantum leaps here either, but switching the game is easier than switching the provider.

there has been a quite a few people jump into Na east servers to play. could also try offline mode (and yes i know neither of these are optimal solutions, but there are other options while whatever is happening continues)

Yeah, sorry, I’m just massively frustrated with the situation. I was actually having a lot of fun with the season, and right now I much prefer playing LE over other games in the genre like PoE, Diablo, or Torchlight. Even the PoE 2 season didn’t grab me, and then the game becomes unplayable from noon until evening. Between 4–11 in the morning it’s fine, but I have other things to do then. The frustration runs deep.

There are workarounds, like using VPN providers that are better connected to the EHG network (also a tip for others with the same problem who don’t know this), but paying monthly just to be able to play Last Epoch is annoying as well. Well, I’ll probably end up doing it anyway.

Sorry again, I’m normally not that easily frustrated.

So far all the reports I've seen from folks with missing tomb/cemetery entrances are on a server with the old version. Investigating why folks would still be on that but atleast in the short term I'd suggest transitioning to a different scene, waiting a minute or so to make sure your old monolith closed, and then returning.

Yeah, every single report that's come through about it has been a result of the client being new but the server being old version. It's got the big, sprawling trees where I can make 'dark magic shadowcaster' or 'exploding corpse rancher' from the same base, but it lacks the PoE problem where all time spent between meaningful build moves is '+1 int, +1 int, +1 resist fire, +1 fire damage'-- instead they truncate those into singular groups and the time between moves is way shorter but feel the sprawling build vibe.

To preface that I still think PoE was mad fun on my first run, and now that it's been years I might pick it up again (probably not paying for 2 tho), but I think the easiest way to describe it is it's just a difference in translating the same level of data; PoE makes you take 25 4% bonuses, and LE makes you take 4 25% bonuses. The effect on the player is just that each level feels much more impactful.

You need to make sure that the VPN uses the UDP protocol. NordVPN sets this to 'automatic' and chooses God knows what, which caused me to get stuck on the loading screen after logging in and selecting my character. I have no idea where this setting is in other VPN clients, but I assume it must be there.

No, you can't use Reforged Set Affixes, Sealed affixes, or T8 - which are also Sealed - in Legendary crafting. You can use Experimental affixes, though.

Well if you're planning to go for fire dmg then yes, melee physical is worse than melee dmg
just generic melee dmg is converted to whatever dmg your skill does
sure, you still get the physical dmg
