Normally killing a timeline boss only give 1 gaze, but with the needle you win more

Usually I'd aim for 2k+ for empowered

After that, mitigation and recovery are more important

Recovery is usually the thing people actually lack though, since it's a bit sneaky. You don't need that much for hits, but dots are built assuming you'll have recovery countering much of the damage, so if you don't they'll bleed you dry super fast

That said, even if you die 30% of the time, still better to stick with empowered cause the drop rate and XP gain increase is just that much lol

Just stay at 100c until you survive like 95% in regular echos (dw about the 100 corruption woven echoes, some of those are way meatier than the minimum implies)

I can only seem to get a total of 8. When I swap the Tyrant skull back, the 12 drop down to 8. 2 of them are probably because of the split second that str and dex dont add up to 100(exemplar passive), but the other 2 I think are from permanent bond messing up.

Edit, so if I make sure I have over 100 dex/str so that exemplar passive does not break with Tyrant skull off, then I can summon the 12 and keep the 12 when switching back to bees/trex. BUT the moment I add my skill points back on from Tyrants skull, I drop back down to 10.

So it can give up to 3LP on first empower and that can go to 4 on 2nd. but yeah, good luck with that

Also, kill a bunch of mages, when one eventually drops the special mage woven echo, don't use it, socket it in weaver tree, and farm it that way. There are other somewhat advanced ways to use the echo for gains but idr if it's useful here. Then get some t7 glove and craft with a weaver tree spawned mage echo: experimental life drain/ward gain, havoc the experimental mod to t7, and slam on your gloves

That's another 20% drain/ward gain

Ye, farm like 10-20, cook em all in nemesis eggs, sort by:

• LP1, LP2, etc
• Legendary with 1 mod, legendary with 2 mod, etc

1. Reroll LP ones until you have something reasonable (sometimes LP1, sometimes LP2 or even LP3)
2. Use legendary 1 mod to reroll unique stats on LP1, use legendary 2 mod to reroll unique stats on LP2, etc
3. Repeat until satisfied

And then slam

Also, when rerolling LP and getting LP0 back, cook em again

Technically, even if you want LP2, you can use legendary 1 mods to reroll unique item rolls on LP1 and reroll the LP, idk if it's worth tho

Question about experience gain. How does the XP penalty work? If i'm level 90 doing empowered monos, do I get an XP penalty? Am I better off running an unempowered timeline?

maxroll guides generally mean you need to look at their starter build and make sure you have all those items. they often don't work at all before that

there's no "penalty" if you're level 90 in level 100 areas, but it's a weird way to think about it as a penalty anyway since you will still get more xp from enemy xp scaling than you would in a level 90 area

Assuming it doesn't take you like twice as long to kill the enemies you are still gonna gain more xp even if you're more than 10 levels lower

That's what I thought. I've heard mention of a penalty when you're doing content that's >5 levels above your own. So I wanted to make sure I wasn't screwing myself over

The penalty is essentially that if you were level 80 in empowered (which most people probably are tbh) you're only getting xp as if you were level 90 (up to 10 levels higher)

Ive seen in the ingame chat, that when you kill a big boss fir example, like a monolith boss, and you press x, you will notice that there are more uniques on the ground than when you have the filters on. I tried it several times and it is correct, filters are hiding more than it should.

You need to press X in order to temporary disable the filters and you will notice more uniques appearing on the ground

Problem people have with EUW is something pretty common to gaming servers - there seems to be an ISP communication delay / blockage

You can check this by essentially tracing connection on loop

Whose job is to fix it? that would be a good question. I know that when Blizzard had this, ISPs specifically added proper routing to their servers, its why their addresses are public for their game servers

All a VPN really does is just re-route a player's connection

If so you can still do it, can't remember the exact number but if one map is X corruption higher you should get a shade after 1 map

Or if you have 8 gazes in a mono you should also get the shade

Imo if you have the time, the willingness to look things up and learn as well as dealing with the trading (Which btw the thing they announced won't actually help very much imo) then poe1 is about as good as it gets. To me though LE CoF is the best balance for me. And it's only getting better the more content they add (Not to say poe 1 isn't)

Yeah idk, I wanted to play melee but it felt like most the melee skills were just a basic bonk with an added effect like every 3'rd bonk does a bit of extra damage, or heals you, or whatever

Hmmm I think most Attack replacement skills operate by giving stacks which buff you, rather.

And then you add skills which have a chance to activate when attacking

That is the worst part about melee in gd is its all proc abilities for the most part and alot of the oomph comes from gear that modifies abilities

Honestly while I think LE could also use more impact I can't think of a skill in LE that has less of that satisfying feeling than pretty much all the skills i've tried in grim dawn, and turst me i've tried to play grim dawn a decent chunk of times with completely different skills and classes each time

For the most part ya unfortunatly and it doesn't really "hit" till ur like lvl 70 and have all the gear available to you and have the factions ranked up enough to get some of the stuff they sell in the final 2 tiers of their shops

While I can see this, you're usually getting some of your main damage type/maybe a bit of resist reduction, defenses/resistances and maybe a bit of life leech so I don't really see anything dealing with constellations as filler.

I agree, the "x skill does x% more damage" nodes in LE are very similar, but the thing with LE is that you can also see the cool stuff in the tree right away lul

with grim dawn the whole tree feels like those nodes and apparently all the cool stuff comes after a while which you can't really see, atleast not in my experience, until you get close to it

If people are hanging out here, they're probably going to be enjoying the game and say they like it : ) I have played a lot of ARPGs and I like it. Pros: It's less complex than PoE1 and 2, so you can actually make up your own build and do OK with it. Respecs are pretty painless, Skills are free just need to relevel a bit, Passives and Mastery (think PoE Ascension) you can just change with regular gold. Crafting is better in LE. You don't have to finish the entire Campaign in LE, can go into the end game whenever you feel like you can survive it, and there's some built in skips to speed up Alts. Has a built in Loot Filter tool so you can make your own or import one.

Cons: PoE 2 combat feel is pretty incredible, LE is ok. PoE 1 has been around way longer and has more content than LE, so there's less end game stuff compared to PoE 1.

Pushing D key or if WASD then B key doesn't do anything? Under Escape -> Settings -> Gameplay -> Change Input Keys -> it's the Use Dungeon Ability one if you wanted to check that
