Yo dat hit completely caught me off guard I even have crit red. Wanted to dodge it but after streaming for 13h the reflexes were a bit stiff 😂
I have been slayed by champions three times in a row today. I even dodge them but this shit dashed in me
Yeah also they had a lot of network and afk kick problems last night. Had to emergency “Leave game” many many times and a lot of them were close calls
Im a bit worried about transitioning from following a leveling guide to making my own build at level 70 anyone got tips?
Don’t die 🤓
Been working havent gotten to play yet, anyone wanna start up an HC char with me and play for a few hours?
im down
it's very difficult not to die sometimes
any hardcore guilds/ voice chats would be helpful. the chat community in hc is abysmal. LE seriously needs to combine chat servers with filtering options
What build would you recommend if my screen freezes for 5 seconda when facing voidmonsters?
Hello. I just died in level 84 in hardcore (Sadge.) Will my character be able to appear on the softcore arena leaderboards? Or is my character literally bricked and i have to remake the character on softcore to appear on arena leaderboards?
Does anyone know the answer to this
i dont see why it shouldnt? just clear arena in sc and it will appear there
if you asking "will my hc arena clear transfer to sc" then no.
Anyway PSA for my hc fam. I was level 84, I died to my lightning resist being 66 and going into a weaver echo (the one u add to tree) i highly suggest don't add weaver echoes to tree or be careful when you do it because some of those premade weaver echoes are overtuned and unfair. I literally never got locked out of lich form almost ever and i got instantly knocked and killed there. complete bullshit imo. i knew weaver stuff was gonna be a problem, i avoided it for so long and waited until i was strong and it still killed me
Almost stayed alive to get back into lich form again, nope, tried to teleport and my corpse died after he got through the teleporter. sadge. literally 0.1sec from getting out of there
oh well. we go again i guess. im thinking will go again after i test and limit push in softcore. i want that #1 hc arena spot
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/Qe315YKo just hit 3rd to 100 hcssf with "reflect" spriggan, except nothing actually ever hit me... this new body armor is sooo powerful
:white_check_mark: This character build is verified

hey guys , is there a guide for campaign skip safe/leveling in mono for alts in hc ? edit : ssf , got some keys / portal charms
has anyone done a SSF HC challenge with permanent cursed veterans boots equipped?
kinda wanna give it a go lol
no idea how hard it would get during monos though
im gonna give it a go and report back lol
I tried a veterans boot melee only challenge. Died in CH3
In Hc Does arena scale on your lvl? or is it something you shouldnt do until high lvl?
Guys, am I the only one dying to portaling back to places just because the mobs start hitting you before the game has finished loading?
Shouldn't it have at least some grace period? Until you move, of course, but dying just because you clicked a portal and the mobs respawned is pretty frustrating
Death by blue screen. Always feels a little bad
my firend died that way when he teleported to me, and i feel like it didnt happen before season 3
Hey, looking for suggestion of what to play. Probably looking for a tanky caster.
Is lich bleed style just warlock bleed but you now have death seal so it's tankier ?
I've never died this way before either, I don't know if they changed the way the game loads or they removed grace period
hahah same thing just happened to me, was stroking the dog for a seonc going back into town portal, looked at screen and dead
hello, herthseeker in hc viable?
Honorable death
any tanky + bossing damage + zoomy build specifically for HC?
HC season death transfer over to SC season? That’s new to me, I just figured it would be like PoE XD
Typically you have to give and take a little when it comes to these things.
Really everything is viable, however it wont be as forgiving to play as other builds will be.
If you having to ask if it’s viable though I would probably say it’s not for you.
Of all the classes and skills, which build is the most durable and the most one-button?
Judgement Paladin is probably the most common pick for players I think.
At least, it was last season. Not sure how the meta is looking this season for HC but it’s still a solid pick in any case.
I saw this build on a stream a little bit, the mana was always running out, but the streamer still somehow managed to use the skill, how is that?
i think erasing strike vk last season or before was like good in all 3 aspects, no?
Perhaps but typically that’s what game Devs try to avoid.
allright
lets give up on clear speed then ;d
is there tanky + good boss damage build that is very easy to get going in HC?
Like I said before, Judgement Paladin
You hold down Vengeance and Judgement at the same time and it will use Vengeance if you're out of mana and Judgement if you're not
You need to make sure Judgement is before Vengeance in the skill order though
So Judgements skill to the left of Vengeance
how viable is rip blood lich for hc? gonna make my first hc char today more than likely
Yo. 2nd char I level to monoliths, and get onetapped in shrine woven echo
Last season I used that woven echo for fast leveling from 45-60
Wtf happened to the game?
good morning HC, hope yall doing good
Balance changes happened
Apparently scaling is bugged for monsters so could be that, fix will be out for it next week
Damn. So gotta wait a whole week 😕
You don’t have to but if you want to minimise potential issues then it’s probably best to wait
Not actually had any issues myself but my build is incredibly tanky
And this is confirmed? Do you know exactly when?
Tyvm. Because I was fuming when I got one tapped by random mobs.. died with 3 chars who I just started monos with.. all my gear and progression lost..
Do the dungeons have mechanics you gotta memorise or will die. I just finished the campaign in HC, and I want to try the dungeons but I'm worried it's a case of being expected to die to learn the mechanic.
I haven't touched a dungeon since lightless arbour before the 1.0 release
the lightless arbor you just outgear with 1lp+ uniques
temporal sanctum is generic D when julra does explosion
soulfire is useless for skips
Nothing crazy, but yeah
Or just out gear it like Holy said
Thanks!
hey guys, any1 playing on HC and wanna grind together or smt? xD
Anyone got recommendations for unique shields for judgement paladin? One that isnt hard af to get
any hc rogues got advice on checkpoint stats for leveling
isn't there a grace period when teleporting ? a teleport took quite a while and when loading finished i was presented with the death screen ,
Only when entering a zone otherwise you could just portal to get out of a bad spot
Just get a decent yellow or purple
they removed the grace period when moving between zones. at least when tp to a player
Seems there is a roughly 10sec Grace period when using a door, but no Grace period when leaving a portal.
Never use portals on hc
was this a recent change? was on 10 hp when first did it and learned my lesson quick
so you think its intended ?
Is there a dmg bug, just got one shot out of nowhere, killing blow was like 125 dmg, lvl 65.
Sometimes you take damage equal to ~99% of your eHP then some collateral damage kills you. For me, it's kinda usual vs spark champion which hits you really hard with lightning slam then small wandering orbs barely visible in this chaos over there kill you if you've survived.
is there any build that can actually kill uberroth without being a god gamer?
yes
Just died from Aura of Decay in HC 💀 Didn't even know that was possible, wtf
Hello, I’m playing on Hardcore.
I had to step away, so I opened a portal and stayed in town to avoid dying.
When I came back, I entered the portal again, it started loading the zone.
As soon as I appeared in the zone — immediately the “You have died” screen popped up. The mobs that were nearby killed me, and I didn’t even get a chance to react.
How is this even possible? Who is going to give me back my time or my character? Is this a bug or what?
I still have another character on Hardcore, but now I don’t even know how to keep playing, what if I die the same stupid way?
Which bug section should I post this in? Is this an issue related to servers (unlikely)? Gameplay?
I made a video but I can't attach it here for some reason
"Fixing an issue where Entering a wild scene via a teleport portal in town does not apply grace period (even for solo players) which can result in death while loading"
Known issue atm where leaving a portal wont give you a Grace period
They just patched it. Thank god.
hey HC team, has anyone ever had a HC character brought back to hc from the team? I just had a HC death on Julra doing dungeon skip because the transfer between realms when she does her big attack didnt work. have recording for this also
You can ask but I doubt they will res your character
I'm pretty sure, they'll never do that. It's like opening pandora box, as soon as you do first revive) You'll have to process thousands of similar request per day. But just out of curiosity, how would the recording help you? Unless it shows, that you. actually, pressed a button to time travel with a correct timing, recording doesn't prove anything, in my opinion
How are you guys building your reflect paladins? Do you use any skills aside from shield rush? I see some are using smite for ward generation or vengeance for healing hands proc and DR. But not sure what is better or if I’m missing something big
anybody wanna start up?
I compiled a few different builds a few days ago, you can take ideas from them: https://old.reddit.com/r/LastEpoch/comments/1n7ci5i/reflect_rofldin/nc7zgga/
What are the benefits of Paladin Reflect compared to Shaman Reflect?
I don’t know anything about Paladin Reflect at all
going to speedrun through the campaign if anyone wants to join!
Yeah i looked at that the other day. Nice writeup. I think i like the vengeance with vessel of strife type the best. The DR from vengeance is just too good, and only needs a hit every 2 seconds. Spamming smite for ward generation seems like a hassle when the build is best played relaxed. Im running judgement too instead of rebuke just because I’m not used to it and don’t trust the facetank.
It’s way faster. Shield charge through a map once and you’ll never be able to look back. Super tanky too, but less dmg potential. Shaman is better for bossing
Should I stop using dancing strikes in corruption?
Can shadow cascade be used on it's own without mana issues?
Why do you want to stop using it?
Hi, does HC chars share the Market with normal market? or it is a separated one?
separated
is any movement there? i always played CoF on HC,... any have tryed it?
What are you asking?
The market will be much smaller of course
Personally I have always played CoF though as I much prefer the SSF experience.
how much small and usefull is my question
A lot smaller, think about how many people play SC compared to HC.
Because it is so much smaller the supply of items in the market will be much less so it might not be as easy to find things, especially the more rare things.
thanks mate... dont think i will even try... continue with CoF
For common items it should be fine though.
Does anyone have any experience with Flay in HC? Can I build it to be reasonably durable? I don't expect to face tank everything but I don't want to be paper.
After trying it out I am not a fan of the Lich playstyle, especially for HC
Too much facetank?
Flay gets better as you invest more but same with other builds lol 😆 endurance, armor, hp, delayed dmg, armor to dot DR
I mostly didn't like the upkeep of the Lich form
Felt very clunky and if it ever dropped you're left a lot more vulnerable
Gone back to my frog man
Much more chill gameplay XD
What corruption is everyone pushing in HC atm?
Staying at 300 for now. May go up to 500 soon.
which one do you farm at o.o i havent done any corruption yet just unlocking all the spaces on the map
is this good or should i just stick to one timeline
Nice! What build are you playing?
That depends a bit on what you need to target and how hard you want to push corruption.
Hi guys I have a question. What is the highest corruption an average rogue can push in hc in season 3?
Id love to see your build if u have it anywhere as im also trying to get dancing strikes to work currently lvl 55 finished the campaign stuff. Im using it to proc shurikens and shadow cascade both as a lucky hit type of build just press one button and a bunch of shit happens. Also use shift and smoke grenade
I specced away from it. When I got to empowered, it was too slow to leech back up the hp I lost
Still would be good to see it if u have it saved anywhere
What do you wanna know?
Ok heres sort of what I was thinking of going for but then switched umbral blades with shurikens
https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/planner/s98p60q3
Like its very bad im still in the process of figuring out what im doing but my specific questions esp for defense are I have 2 of those third eye rings would it be possible on rogue to go a ward defensive setup?
Cos right now im not really using ward my thinking is stack as much DR as u can using endurance and endurance threshold as well as some other dr u can get and then with health hoping it keeps me away from one shots and i can heal for the rest. Like are either of these plans viable in any way in your opinion?
I use 2x red rings, mountain boots, Brewmaster belt. Velocyn primordial dagger main hand and traitors tongue offhand dual wield. Then I used tankiest helm I could find and evolutions end amulet. Body armor I had exalt with 30 % hp, flat hp, inc dmg pr dagger as sealed
I haven't played ward rogue, so I have no opinion there. For melee Kestrel body armor seems to be rather squishy. I'd rather use the new primordial chest Wings of Discord, unless you have 3-4 lp Kestrel with double HP slam
Also I see you are not dual wielding? Only see Gladiators Oath equipped. Would not take Apostacy passive node, which converts dodge into Glancing blow
My passive tree was more akin to this: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/B5qer37B
Beneath Ancient Skies / 1.3.2
Rogue (20) / Bladedancer (64) / Falconer (13)
▸ Health: 1,272, Regen: 20/s
▸ Mana: 104.51, Regen: 8.96/s
▸ Ward Retention: 4%, Regen: 0/s
▸ Attributes: 2 Str / 13 Dex / 2 Int / 2 Att / 2 Vit
▸ Resistances: 0% / 0% / 0% / 0% / 0% / 2% / 7%
▸ Endurance: 20%, Threshold: 445
▸ Dodge Chance: 8% (240)
▸ Glancing Blow Chance: 31%
▸ Crit Avoidance: 30%
None
Theres a bug if u take gladiator plus traitor. I couldnt do it. But its supposed to be dual wield with traitor in offhand.
Yeah see i dont get the whole dmg while moving like when ur actually fighting stuff ur standing still right? Ur using dancing strikes and hitting a boss lets say or rare. Like everyone takes this dmg while moving and i can see it if ur just using the falcon or something but not really if ur melee
Dancing strike literally makes you move while dealing damage
And when you dodge/run away from enemy abilities, if you get hit, you take less dmf
do you guys think truesight glass forge guard is a good choice as a first hc character?
I've bounced off last epoch twice now because of lack of consistent challenge so I am wanting to try hard core. What builds or general recommendations would those more veteran in hardcore recommend?
Depends on how hard u wanna push but the best I played following a guide is Judgement pally using maxrolls guide in S2.
Yeah its a good point. Ive been playing a bit last night and the ward generated is like 1500 ward easily at all times with full health from generating crits and having the 2 rings but also with the weavers boots that give u 40 ward every time u get haste plus the kestrel that has a 41% chance to gain haste. I have 1 point in argent veil (changed it after looking at your passive I dunno why I put in more its absoultely useless even for ward with that 15 sec cooldown). I am thinking if I can get a exalted experimental affix health to ward gloves I can move towards ward for defense and have deaths door passive be active permanently.
Anybody wanna start up a char?
I am having a blast with Frogs Beastmaster but it's a very lazy build which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're after.
Judgement Paladin is one of the safest ways to play HC
I would level and gear as a Judgement Paladin first personally to farm the gear needed for the build you want to play.
U want a challenge play blade dancer
I died to Uberroth, my character was ready but I was not
Always struggled with bosses, I really struggle to focus on multiple things at once
I will for sure die to him
Is there any literature that has guidelines for general character durability milestones at various levels of corruption? I'm currently at
2572 Health
5770 Armor
Endurance 60%/823
100% Crit Reduction
Damage Reduction 8%/16% Nearby/30%(?) Aspect of the Boar
Damage Redirected to Minion 24% (Pale Ox)/10% beastmaster tree/10% when bear roars
Currently cruising at 200 corruption, but it's the highest I've gone and I don't want to rush to higher
It would be reliably safe to have 20k eHP vs non-phys hits and 50-60% of it (more=better) vs non-phys DoTs with additional 20k/10k per every ~225 corruption assuming you're not trying to tank big harbi slams like daredevil. I would even say it is a bit of overkill but better be safe than sorry. Tunklab has eHP calculator (https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/ehp), just create custom DR sources for all BM stuff with + button.
Thank you!
according to that website on non-hc (don't lynch me, please) i have 21k eHP vs non-phys hits and 9k non-phys DoTs, and I facetank all harbis on 900 corruption, according to your calculations i'd need 80k ehp... 🤔
running a char through if anyone wants to join!
- As I said, it's a some kind of overkill. You can raise corruption without significant risk with the same eHP but the player I was responding to do not want to risk at all, as I understood.
- You definitely do not consider some serious source of DR because I cannot imagine running 900c with 20k eHP on HC but that's your business. Maybe, you have a really fast and good decision-making with decent reaction speed so the probability of unexpected death is much lower for you. Not gonna say the same about me

good points, for point 2. - i suck
Did somebody say lynch?
perhaps 🐮
Any Rogues Build to use in HC???
You can play Rogue in HC but of course they aren't going to be face tanking anything like a Sentinel
The usual suspects are fine
Acid Flask, Ballista, Shadow Cascade etc
It probably sees way less play compared to other classes so it's only natural but yeah, it's definitely not going to be as easy as a Sentinel
at like lvl 90 rouge is sitting around like 1200hp
eHP depends on gear and other mechanics as well as just base HP, playstyle also makes a big impact too.
A bow build will naturally take much less instances of damage than a melee character will for example and will find positioning both easier, and more cruicial.
im aware the point im making is rouge is one shot prone where as most classes arnt
A bow build will naturally take much less instances of damage than a melee character also that depends danceing strikes can just shrug off hits that would strait up kill marksmen now that its sort of usable again
Rogue isn’t as naturally tanky as other classes. But it’s still plenty viable for HC as long as you don’t go in with the mindset of mindlessly face tanking everything.
thats literaly wat dancing strikes is for
Of course different builds have different playstyles. It’s a generalised statement. You’d expect to be face tanking something in general on a Sentinel more than you would a Rogue.
Obviously there can be exceptions to this.
I’m not even sure what you’re arguing at this point, just feels like you want to be right.
Top blade dancer is a trapper flask build it’s kinda a weird one
The marksmen and falcon builds are same old same old
Mostly trapper flask is on falconer
Trapper flask needs good gear to work
U can check the ladder using lastepochtools and sort by hc and class to get an idea
Is Frost rain unusual enough for you? You're just channeling it with high freeze chance, stacking survivability on gear. Damage comes from black arrows and shift both of which count "your next attack" bonuses for the whole channel duration of your next rain.
definitely unusual no one has passed lvl57 on that but finding gear might be the issue
Im on trapper flask - fire on NonHC not seems ez for Hc...
will check thanks
Currently BD works pretty well with architects of blood, gives it massive amounts of sustain while permanently enabling 24% Damage reduction from Death's door, if you pair it up with the passives that gives you 20% damage reduction while moving with something like Dancing Strikes, it ends up being pretty chunky even at 300c.
Another option is abusing Foot of the Mountain to convert your dodge into endurance threshold while standing still and capping endurance %.
With this latter setup my spear falconer could mostly facetank T4 Julra.
But as people said, even if you make it chunky, its still no paladin.
Guess if you go with corsair set and stack some block chance and block effectiveness you should also be able to make a pretty tanky rogue, that would require either entwined legends or no dual wield setup.
u can also go the glanceing blow route
but silver shroud seems to be unrelyable at best
concentration is also buged
btw
nice ideas here, will take a look
very hard for me at "normal mode" to see where/when/what silver shroud works and not... with 1 live... ez to miss
It’s why I’ve abandoned it
Do you grind levels, or rush for Empowered Monoliths?
If you are talking about a reroll character and not fresh season heres what I do:
1-15 - Run story to get the first couple passives
15 - Lightless Arbor dungeon
15-30's - Straight story from exit of Lightless Arbor until you get to unlock temporal sanctum
30's-42 - Soulfire Bastion dungeon
42-52 - TP around the mono's to get the free experience
52-70ish - Equip Thornshell for reflect build and walk through The Bridge echo for fastest xp. Bonus if you can manage to stick one or two enrage (40% exp buff) echo buffs before going in. Dont complete, just kill the last baracade and tp out. Repeat
I ran through 38 HC characters this season, and got the leveling down to about 2 hours for 1-80
TP around the mono's to get the free experience
I'm confused 😄
If youve already gotten to empowered monoliths once on a character, you can get free exp on your next toons by just visiting the monos. Its about 10-15 levels worth
Isn't the case for me, I still have to do them on my alt 🤔
If this is your first HC character, whatever you did on SC does not carry over. If this is a new HC character, and youve done empowered monos on your main, it 100% works every time.
You will still need to unlock empowered on your new character, but you can still TP up the right side and get the free xp
seems cheaty
I mean, its built into the game lol... It has been this wayu since pre 1.0
It is not my first HC character, I have done Empowered Monos on another HC character, I have to do Monos on this one 🤷♀️
Yeah, that's what I said lol. But you will still have the waypoints unlocked once you get to EoT. So just TP to the monos waypoint and collect the free xo
If you are playing SCF (solo character found) the above thing does not apply, its only when you have a regular/solo account found character that those bonuses mentioned above will apply. Hope that helps clear it up
When you play melee in an area 15 levels above yours.
Next time I'll do all Monoliths for more levels, instead of rushing for Empowered on HC 😆
https://www.youtube.com/clip/UgkxGNr-Lrw1agQPoVYXcGDNr7tuYt6Fr7Ob
Yeah, empowered is the biggest jump in difficulty in the game, so pacing yourself before hopping into it is a good idea xD
hey everyone playing as a judgement pala just got to empowered monos, what should i go for crti strike avoid or reduced dmga from crits? thks in advance
At which point in the game should I start worrying about resistances?
At all points. Resistances are quite easy to come by.
Yep learned my lesson. Doing all timelines this time around, full clearing echoes to stay within 5~6 levels range.
Got some funny idea for almost unkillable tank 🙂 Convert to physical 100% cold, necro, void, poison, max armor, max block, 100% Armor mitigation to DoT, a lot of less fire dmag and 40% lightning dmg convertion... The only obvious problem here, figure out how to deal damage 😂 And maybe how to survive until you get these crazy uniques... As soon as I saw this primordial, this was my first thought to do 🙂 https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/AVMkgnXo
Beneath Ancient Skies / 1.3.2
Sentinel (20) / Void Knight (5) / Forge Guard (68) / Paladin (20)
▸ Health: 3,312, Regen: 414.2/s
▸ Mana: 272.51, Regen: 8/s
▸ Ward Retention: 4%, Regen: 0/s
▸ Attributes: 58 Str / 2 Dex / 2 Int / 76 Att / 4 Vit
▸ Resistances: 314% / 60% / 60% / 76% / 52% / 4% / 4%
▸ Endurance: 63%, Threshold: 1,253
▸ Armor Mitigation: 74% (8,162)
▸ Block Chance: 99%, Mitigation: 67% (4,123)
I'll probably try it, if I'll get some time, but maybe someone have an ideas how we could fit some damage into this build without losing crazy amount of survivability?
I think this setup should be able to face tank like any hit from Aberroth 🙂 And should handle low corruption relatively fast
Armour cap is 75% res, your block only miitgates 70%, you stil take damage from Fire, Cold, Lightning too.
I don't see any sustain either.
how much block effectiveness would be accepatble for 250 + corruption? does it cap? thks in advance
as much as you can fit in, since its just free DR as long as you have 100% block
I did a low life lich with that, to abuse the phys dmg reduction from aura of decay, was stupidly tanky 🤣
I would consider Multistrike Void smite
Pretty sure armour and block will be closer to 80% while playing, RoS buff should help. Bane Of Winter converts 100% cold to Phys btw, Fire and Lightning greatly reduced 40%+ (see FG passives and 1x4 idol), but yeah no full conversion available as far as I know. Sustain is problem, agree. That's why I was asking for some ideas. But I guess if you play with meme builds, shouldn't expect deep dive into the build from other people)
In Sentinel channel the search reminded me, that Bane Of Winter has a good synergy with mourningfrost boots. Still feels weird, because you stack Dexterity and cold damage for sentinel, but I guess worth to take a look at) In that case you can get rid of most of the stuff and go with javelin, maybe even void smite too 🙂 Weird stuff 🙂
It's not that it's a meme that is the issue, it's that it's basically Judgement Paladin but worse and without the damage and heal
anything that does hit dmg has a synergy with mourning frost 🤣
tbh I might take a stab at bane of winter at some point, thanks for adding another build to my unending backlog of silly build ideas
well won't be worse than trying to do cinderstrike marksman, at least I already have ideas of possible skill pairings
It reminds me of the Reflect Shaman I wanted to build, but leveling Primalist accelerated my depression by 10x
god it's shit
I found gathering storm frostbite to not feel too bad
but its only till 35 anyway, after you just equip armor and walk
I tried Druid with Lightning synergy with Tornado + Werebear with Unending Storm + Rampage
also, spriggan form is actually quite good with spirit thorns
Tornado was.... okay. The Werebear was god awful
Werebear is just swipe simulator, I just want maul hop to be removed, so I can do a maul build
I didn't make it to 35 because my brain couldnt handle the awfulness
but yeah, if you go spriggan at lvl 20 skillspec, it becomes pretty chill
also not to mention it was before I swapped from SCF to SAF and being able to afford that chest on SAF that early is unrealistic
Spriggan spirit thorns can go endgame with just stacking castspeed/bleed/physdmg
and clears okay
with reflect chest?
the build sounds so fun, but getting there 🤮
for me its only a bit annoying till lvl 20, as soon as you unlock spriggan its chill
melee is.. annoying
Exiled Mages and lizards make me want to cry every time
"oh look a puddle under the mob, guess i'll sit here looking pretty till the mob moves or puddle ends"
the thing with Judgement is, the AoE is so big and bright, you don't even see the puddle 💀
you just hold RMB + mousewheel and pray to heal through stuff
I definitely would have expected the Mage with 4500 Ward upkeep to feel a bit more tanky though
mage is squish
low HP too scary
also needs gear
I liked the idea of Necromancer, but god is Bone Golem AI bad
just play skellie pop
minion build that doesn't feel like one
barely needs gear, has stupid sustain till you start pushing corruption
at corruption you need a bit of investment on defenses, until there you can just kinda braindead thing
that's it, you just spam skellies, your mages pop them with oblation and you can stay amost a screen away for nasty stuff 🤣
and there's plenty of options how you can go about gearing it
doesn't exactly require any one primordial
that sounds super slow honestly
its a bit slow at the start till you get a bit of castspeed on your mages
under 40h to 100, so not too bad
Chaos Bolts sounds like a hold RMB build though
me like
sucks how it basically requires certain uniques though
you can just play bleed chaosbolt with bonecurse and ripblood for lvling, barely even needs gear
Its a pet project of mine, currently its at chapter 5 with just white/blue gear under lvl 5
isn't plague bearer's staff + carrion of creation basically required?
only pushing high C
oh I'm not referencing maxroll's build, just talking about the skill combo
and red ring is probably BiS 🤮
I hadnt checked them, let me look
that's highly min/maxed
I dont use online builds lol, bad experience
it doesn't need anything to work baseline
I am running that build rn, ran it in the past and it's even better now
I require a full breakdown, I'm intrigued
That I cannot do I am afraid, it's pretty self explanitory I think though
Profane Oblation on Mages
Cast skellys
Mages make them pop
What is a decent HC paladin levelling build? Bleed hammers okay? Or any thing else anyone would suggest?
Judgement
Bleed Hammer is fine, Judgement is great
Javelin is great
Whatever takes your fancy really
Rive until Judgement, then Judgement + Multistrike
I have done judgement in SC so id like to try something different? between hammers and jav, is jav superior?
yes
Jav can't be played from level 1 but it is better when you get it
it can from 20
ignite jav the way to go?
so I guess Hammer Throw until then
He didn't want to go Judgement XD
Jav is great
And tbh it's probably faster too with a spear
idk
appreciate input from you both
Holy Trail Javelin is basically Judgement light is what I meant 🤷♀️
Oh, yeah
i mean if its the superior HC build maybe ill try jav and swap to it if necessary
Judgement is waaaaay tankier and the better endgame build by infinity
Jav is probably faster for leveling though?
As you never need to stop moving
you have Lunge / Healing hands
but melee sucks 🤷♀️
I know me and Pinchingloaf have a video guide with some gameplay in it, skill setup is similar, gear is a bit different since I was running it with staff and high hp/ward with quick recovery from pots, while he was at the time running endurance stacking, so you can check one of those out just to have an idea on how it works
I promised myself not to get into HC again, but the only way to see if the build, actually, works is to build it, I guess 🙂 Wish me luck)
You have to see the benefits! IF you rip you get an excuse to run it again 😏
Remember kids any game is a rouge like if u try hard enough
Reflect
any good soul around that could kill julra t4 for me ? thks in advance
This is only a good leveling build assuming you have access to the required items
True, it's gets easier if it's not your first seasonal character. But still, wasn't that difficult to get all the pieces. 1st HC of this died at 94. If it is your second or third HC character, as long as you have been saving everything from the prev characters, it's super fast leveling. You are a walking neutron bomb. I'm HC 97 currently and just stomping everything at 400+ c. Only thing I'm missing is Leonine helm. Point being I didn't have to have a leveling build and then go into this...just run this, get the chest, and you are off.
Tbh just going devouring orb with a staff with Spelldmg/void dmg and vit stacking should also work to get you smoothly through the campaign too
add in some fissure void smite for good measure and it should work
worked before the sentinel rework, no reason it wouldn't work now
Is Smite VK Uberroth Viable in HC?
@silk tusk saving stuff from previous runs feels scummy
I can't tell if you are joking or not.
hc character found all the way
Ok, I have responsibilities in life lol
My first character every season is SCF 😏
Jokes aside i get the appeal, but its also incredibly annoying sometimes, i just like having a stash so i dont have to waste hours on end looking for an unique that rng just decided it wasn't dropping for that char
It’s not scummy at all, it’s a choice.
this...is the wrong channel
RIP misclick
lvl 98, the grind is real. Is there a way to more quickly increase corruption or I just need to run the tree until the shade node appears?
Temporal Keystones for Stability, still need to find the Shade echo though
ahh ok. So just continue down the branch until one pops. I just did one and it was only like 58 corruption...this was far from the center and 8 orbs. (at level 600 or so). Are corruption gains that size from here on out?
the farther away from the start, the more stability
and echoes of a world generally appear at the end of a web
so you're heavily incentivised to path in a straight line away from the start
is 58 gained about right far from the center with 8 orbs banked? Wasn't sure if it should be more or that is about what it is.
(meaning to reach 1000c I need to do 10 more full shade echos)
You only consume 4 gazes per orobyss, and, according to what I know, the more gazes you have the more likely you are from finding orobyss echoes
There's also the idol that occasionally drops from harbies that will give you 4 gazes from a timeline boss kill if you have it equipped when you kill them, the idol does get destroyed/consumed
there, since you've inspired me, I shall try this thing https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/Qdnm4lko

just realized there's some things wrong there, but no matter, the idea is more or less the same 🤣
if you have 8 gazes, then when you do an echo an orobyss echo will spawn right next to you. Also, if you have a certain level with the harbringer knights when you kill the harbringer you can get an extra gaze. So a quick way to do it is temporal keystone, fight boss w/ needle idol and fight harbringer for 5 gazes. Continue until you have 8 or more gazes, then do an echo, fight orobyss, and then do the same steps again. Basically since you only consume 4 gazes per orobyss echo, it amounts to one boss fight, one echo, one orobyss fight for 50+ corruption at the expense of a needle idol and some temporal keystones.
I just reached 339c and I want to do rampant coast but I'm scared because I heard it's very rippy.
This is my current gear playing Lightning Blast Runemaster:

It was fine, he melted 🙂
generally with LB RM it'll be fine until he hits you
if you have your shield up it probably won't one shot you
depending on your ward at the time
the scariest ones have the shield imo, as you won't melt him as easily
his attacks are really generously telegraphed so it's fine from that regard
the game has some weird freezes though
yeah, if you're looking to do it a small number of times it's not too bad, if you're farming 100 of them the odds of making a single mistake go up a fair bit 🙂
I noticed freezes in Rampant Coast and tombs
if anyone's interested, I posted an uber aberroth kill in the video-shutout channel from my bladedancer, finally got him !
u wanna party up for like a day and obsidian reso me one of those immortal vise?
hi all, im on the Frostbite-Swarmblade Druid build: https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/frostbite-swarmblade-druid-guide#gear,-idols-blessings-header
And i see in the swamrblade skill tree the node: Ironclad Beetle . that at my low equiped lvl80 HC char changes from 40%dodge with 30% armour to 0% dodge and 60% armour (on combat both) and 2 skill points changed from poison change to that change... for HC ¿is worth it as much as i think it is or i'm missing something?
also, it can maybe backfire when my gear improves and i got more armour and the dismishing appears on armour?
My char as it is now if some1 wanna check(with that change applied): https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Katelibby/character/Marlo
hah, it's already taken 🙂
What are considered the most dangerous Rift Beast evolutions?
it's not an evolution, but if you see one with crystallized heart take care, similarly if one is possessed it can be insanely dangerous
Ok thanks for the tip. So far I've noticed the Astral Eye (calls down meteors) is very dangerous.
<@&1161418687471956101>
Early on there was a maelstrom like ability that did a tonne of damage, not sure if it was bugged or I just out geared it now though.
the multi beast fight woven echo is extremely sketchy, it feels like fighting evolved beasts at 1000 when ur only running 300
I think I have lost 3 hero to this echo lol
ded game
This game need a better end game content
Well, this is hardcore channel. Much bigger chance for a dead silence, cause most of the characters are literally dead 😄
Working on it 🙂 Unfortunately, my build idea needs blossom of immortal stone, so, there's a chance I'll never get there 😂 I even can't get Bane of Winter after like 10-20 Harbinger kills, not tlaking about hundreds of Rift beast kills. Maybe will try without the amulet much later
hope u get them and see whats posible 😄
¿what build on? im on Shiled bash with the Primordial Shield
The original idea is here https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/AvnEmNwA (mentioned it before here in the topic) but tbh, I'm still figuring out how to deal damage and probably some of the things gonna change. Basically wanted to build something, that converts as much as possible to Physical dmg. I'm on 150 corruption so far, feeling pretty safe. Probably will go to 200, because now I have a feeling Bane of Winter doesn't drop below 200.

curious... nice use of resistance with boots and similar 😄
mine is more traditional: https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/katelibby/character/Pangatra
For now running around with Javelin, but I still didn't try going harder into smite and void in general
currently 450 corr with no problems... bosses are perma-stunned at this corr and die fast
i was thinking to use smite some die, never used it...
i urgently need a belt with cleanse or will die from some dots...
Yeah, actually, also wanted to try Event Horizon + SHield Bash combo, but I thought I'll be too mucn annoyed to be slowed all hte time.
Yeah, I think, for FG hit damage usually not a problem, but DoT is always insane.
How slow are you? Did you try experimental thing on boots where your minions are transported with you, so you could restore traveral CD from Healing Hands?
72% normal speed and -16% with 10 stacks of the weapon, but its not really a problem, it feels nice u just push space go for the next pack so not a problem
it plays really smooth... well sometimes u push healing hands for traversal before space and feels really comic but not a real problem
After playing with 70+ movement speed, I even noticed, that I too slow on 20 or something) Can't imagine having minus values)))
no didnt tryed that, can be and idea to take more advantage of the shield... but im still low on HP so need to focus on that
Ahhh, actually, I forgot... It scales with Movement Speed?
is funny to see, but feels very "natural" to just evade from the fight and u recover ur speed
yes, if u push it u go stupidly slow travelling, its funny to see it
let me 5min i make a video
here u have it... : https://youtu.be/hSp6vGwe6Ow?si=YJtoZDjtrbwF5qwl
but its not how u "normally does it"
Yeah, looks funny) So unsual to see, it's like slow effect on the gameplay)
But dmg looks good. Not sure if I had 5k crits, didn't check for a while
exxactly
nearly 100% crit and whith 10 stacks u make > 250k for hit
dragon monolith boss at 300corrup is 20 hits to die...
(or 22...)
and fully stunnned all time
i played that build on SC 2 or 3 seasons ago and the dmg was very low... and i was ver very surprised now in this season with this dmg...
How to kill a 430 corrup boss: https://youtu.be/Vjgh9Us0Hs4
Any advice for farming gear in hardcore solo character?
Just kinda wondering what strats people use.
I'm a bit undergeared.
at what level? in early game going to monoliths early-ish (around lv50, before lagon) is nice, though you'll drop stuff a few levels above your char lv
cof, push corruption
my FGs do need a place to die, so I might take you on that offer at some point 🤣 All 3 of them managed to not get murdered by normal abbey, so there's a decent chance
lol
3 FG died before i managed to get what I achieved (2 of them at Julra...) so be happy and sacrifice them...
Mine is still alive, will try 400+ wave or die soon
what Builds are u on?
was messing with weapons, did smite/ms with volcanus and bane of winter, but the best one was a multistrike(with no smite) torkrefin
im with ShieldBash with the primordial shield
I did multi set Entwined Legends with Bane of Winter, Carrion of Creation with Torkrefin's and the plan was to run either T8 fire dmg or health% on chest in the Volcanus one, but getting a proper champion's regalia didn't happen so.. 🤷 I really want some better way to turn exalted items into sets x_x
The problem with T8 i always face is that: is nearly imposible to get a 6 affix good item and enought FP for T8, seal, etc... so i'm normally avoiding that idea for primordial uniques
Maybe if u are not on a META BUILD u can do it on MG but MG on HC seems not a good idea...
Primordial affixes in general aren’t that worth it for most builds anyway and way harder to acquire.
Yep, the only reason I considered primordial affix for that build is that none of the primordial items really fit it
For context: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QdngvDyo

▸ Endurance: 66%, Threshold: 1,159
▸ Armor Mitigation: 67% (5,625)
▸ Block Chance: 92%, Mitigation: 49% (1,949)
but yeah, reforged set and T8, bit of a pipe dream 🤣
Still was a pretty funny build, the autocast shield throw on block provided some nice clear through lavaburst
this was how it stayed, missing the shield cause I couldn't be bothered to find another one with perfect rolled blockchance for the torkrefin's I ran after
< can't handle the grind for proper minmaxing, I just move on to the next silly idea 🤣
same at some point i got bored and lvl an alter
Currently i'm the "BEST" Falconer and "BEST" ForgeGuard on HC arenas... ¿anyone wanna join for a 2player or 3 player team on HC Arenas?
best of the best
How high corruption can Reflect Shaman safely go with 1 LP gear?
Is necro a relatively safe class to give hardcore a go for the first time?
one of the safest
aco is ridiculously tanky when you build properly
plus minions are a safety buffer
I made it to 41 before I died to a nasty rift beast 😂
Cmon HC players, we need more people trayng arenas
NOw BEST VK on HC ARenas!!!!
And now also BEST 2 player team on HC Arenas
So, guys u need to BEAT ME!!!! cmon try ARENAS
RBs are tricky. there's a few evolutions that can be lethal if you don't know what to expect
41 is pretty good for a first HC char, btw
keep trying, second one is easier
dont put invulnaverity time on RB on HC... lesson learned months ago
Dive bomb, lightning charge and the artillery barrage
dive bomb is easy to avoid but yeah the burst is insane
it shouldn't one shot you but it will easily kill when you're wounded
I don’t think arena is that popular anyway and on top of that HC is quite a small community as it is plus not everyone plays online.
its what im saying: CMON GUYS!!! more people to HC, MORE PEOPLE to HC Arenas!!!
I’d rather stick to HC offline personally, server stability is something I’d rather not deal with XD
BTW, what mode are you playing? Solo or normal? I'm not sure I can find you in the ladder
Nvm, found you. You are on normal. I'm in solo. But if I'll get above 220 on FG I'll definetely let you know. Didn't have a chance to play for a long time, but I heard your voice 🙂
i had no problems un 3 seasons... but i can understand u
ye on normal-HC
hope more people ... also EHG NEEDS to put love on Arenas or any other ladder
thanks for hearing me
Well, that's the problem with ARPG in general. Pretty hard to figure out REALLy good competitive mode 🙁
arenas can be, but need more love in a lot of senses
there lsangi, I put a new rogue leader on the arena board for you 🙂
maybe I can take down the overall lead, tho wave 1029 seems sketchy hah
575 On rogue is awesooomeee
Gz... will try harder with my falconer in some days i promise
Dont think u need to compete with Paladins...
Is Dugo still Alive @stone stag ?
U remember me @stone stag from ingame? U helped me some weeks ago
Ahh yeah! Glad to see your character (s) are still doing well!
Still alive, just ran out of time, have some errands I needed to run
My problem is that i need to change chars or i get bored 😉
Dont like to farm and farm
my game chat broke qq
so now friend list broken and chat also damn dont know if any of my mates are on and playing lol
i saw u online yesterday at that hours
I had really bad stability right near the start of the season which is when I made the switch to offline.
What u think about this build idea:
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Katelibby/character/Sinami
Planning to change at lvl86 the primordial shield (for +skills) with Julras Relic (for health regen to ward) and then change a bit afixes and benedictions to helth+health regen.
?Any improvements/suggestion?
Actually iam doing 100corrup ez (but with that hp some hearthattacks)
Also a lot of actual afixes not optimal, just what i can get...
¿any wanna see how that build feels? #🎥┃video-shoutout message
Gave me a heart attack just looking at the gear lol
Why exactly?
You're just very early on in the gear progression but for 100 corruption it's fine
So i have what i had to have 😉
First time ever playing HC and made it to mono's. Didn't last long there though 😛
F
harbingers are the real HC blocker I found
though ironically my last char was lost to a shade
monos are easy, timeline bosses are easy-ish, shades are easy except for maybe 1-2 patterns (that delayed horizontal meteor is what killed me when I was wounded), harbingers will make you sweat every time
they're not even hard to dodge but they have probably the highest one shot potential
Next try is easier!!! Keep trying
The one that killed most my chars by diference is: Julra...
I think its because other bosses you delay them until prepared, but you sometimes "need" Julra t3 or t4 when u are not prepared, the figth is "ez" but u are 1 mistake from die...
Also with too much dmg or stuns the "rotation" gets bad ...
julra is very dangerous when campaign skipping
but doable if you pay attention
when do you need julra at t3 or t4? t2 is obvious
just for unique drops?
that's a thing, but rarely the reason why. it's mainly for the slam lvl requirements
Tier I - Unique Items with a level requirement of up to 50 can be used
Tier II - a level requirement of up to 65
Tier III - a level requirement of up to 75
Tier IV - no restrictions whatsoever
oh right, I was mostly slamming low lv uniques so I forgot about it
its usually something like twisted heart (lvl 80 req) that forces people into t4 julra before they are ready
If my character dies in hardcore is it dead forever or sent to standard?
sent to softcore
softcore season though. i remember when wudijo died in hardcore doing arena, but his falcon cleared one more wave after, so he got the rank in hardcore and the rank in softcore also
Guys, how u play on hardcore
i'm playing like i am leeroy jenkins, because is playing safe even hardcore?
I play on reflect shaman, have 3700hp, 30k armor, 4k endurance threshold, 100 crit avoidance, and a lot of damage reduction from class
in hindsight i should have didged the undying passive in d3. or atleast keep playing while it was on cd.
But rift beasts on 700 corruption one shot me with any hit
are your resistances capped?
Ofc
I can tank a lot of harbingers and other bosses attacks
But rift beasts it's...
rift beasts from rampant coast are just very rippy. overtuned for sure
that the crystal heart one right? i cant keep the names straight
The best way to beat rampant coast is to basically kill it before it attacks
I actually think the most dangerous rampant coast rift beast for hardcore is the one with the shield
the reason for my first death in hardcore😂
<@&1161418687471956101>
4k endurance threshold?
How?
Also why do you have more than you have health?
How does hardcore work on here? Does my character get deleted or does it revert to a standard character?
Thinking of maybe trying hc for the first time
Standard
converting dodge rating to endurance threshhold. one of the boots, forgot the name. edit: foot of the mountain!
Ahh, that makes sense
Is there anything I should be wary of starting regular monos? Im playing a Reflect Shaman build.
Nothing particularly comes to mind
Just try to cap your crit avoidance / damage taken
So i take it no one plays Legacy in HC? Never saw people chatting and the bazaar doesnt seem to have a lot of items.
Are there any weaver tree points to avoid?
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/CARLreborn/character/100ded
finally beat campaign hardcore, hardcore feel scary ngl since this is my first time
want to do monolith but i already scared lol, my damage is negligible af
any tips i should know or things that will lessen my burden on monolith?
I think most ARPG players tend to stick to seasons
And HC in general isn't popular
So yeah I can imagine HC Legacy is basically dead
Cap crit avoid / reduction asap
A random crit can be the end of you quite easily
Other than that don't feel like you need to push yourself too quickly
I'd imagine a lot of people die unnecessarily by pushing things too soon
im planning to get woven flesh on that
ty for reminding
How's it going @rich vector ?
im stopping hc for now want to do some fun on other class
Damn bro
So what do HC seasonal players do when the season ends? Delete their character?
I can't speak for all players but I would imagine most just let their characters collect dust
Maybe use them for some testing
Same as people do with their SC characters id imagine.
Which is?
no, I mean what ever a person would do to their SC chars, they do the same to their HC chars.
there's nothing special with HC chars.
in D3 and PoE I delete them since im out of char slots.
in LE I just leave them since I don't even see them due to the seasonal/legacy filter at the top.
another thing poeple might do before the season end, is just try the scary parts of the game they didn't dare try during the seson just to see if they can make it
I usually leave mine to collect dust but yeah, a lot of people also throw their characters at difficult stuff just to see how it goes or to push their character to it's limit.
So once in legacy, the character is useless next new season?
that's not specific to HC, it's the same for SC chars.
but you can always keep playing the char in non season, if you're not MG it doesn't really matter,
and so far legacy and season have been receiving the same updates so the games are identical
Super. Thx
I don t like to have a lot of ,,unplayable,, alts. I like to stick to 1 or 2 and have fun with them
I do not understand why HC Legacy has so many fewer players than SC Legacy. Can someone tell me the mentality behind why HC players do not typically play Legacy while there is a large SC Legacy community?
Beside the fact, that Legacy in general is not played that much, HC itself has a much smaller playerbase in general.
Iam making these numbers on my own...
You have like 90% players in softcore and 10% in hardcore.
Inside these camps you have like 80% only Season and 20% Legacy...
These numbers add up, or down in funny way xD...
The whole genre is basically a season genre, for the most plaers... You want the fresh take and then come back when something is new and all the Legacy characters aren't new, they are old, fully built, with a completely filled stash tab and so on....
And as for HC in general, if players die, they will be moved to the completely opposite camp, so it drains the community even more....
This goes for pretty much every single ARPG i know of.
This will likely never change.
when you die in HC, you're dead and lose all gear and idols.
so if you need to nake a new char, why not just make it in seasonal?
HC in general is much, much less popular than SC so it stands to reason that it'll have much, much less players overall.
And there are a lot more casual players who will play only Legacy due to not wanting to restart every reason or a lack of time etc
I imagine the kind of player who would play Legacy is the kind of player that doesn't want to restart so it makes sense to me.
legacy mean they play version before season 3 or they play season 1 version?
So far in LE legacy has had the same game version as the latest season. Season is just a fresh restart with new leaderboards
non-Season
another HC bugged death, woohoo
void meteor from a 200c shade.
think that's the one that flys across the screen.
I was clerly outside, but died and char snapped back a bit
That's likely between you and the server, not really a bug just the nature of online gaming. I actually switched to full offline this season as I was having some really bad lag near the start of the season.
Honestly don't regret it for a second. I rarely play with other people as it is so it was a nice move for me.
Yeah. I’m playing offline HC to aberroth and then delete all save files and start over again with a new build.
Switched to online now to get a HC aberroth kill registered on my account.
Are the servers crashing? They keep disconnecting me!
did you evade out of it? cause evade has this nifty little thing where until it completes the animation your hitbox is actually still at the starting point, or at least that's what it feels like to me, never got around to getting confirmation on it
Don’t remember. But it’s very likely I evaded out.
Is the market moving at all in HC? Im wondering if I start a fresh character if I can make enough money to max out a stash.
Don’t know. I went CoF just to be sure.
i would wager not so much
Gonna play hardcore, I usually played Mage Runemaster but I'm not sure if I want to again.. because the frostclaw is not in high tier anymore... any tips? 😛 Or maybe Shaman? 😮
reflect shaman is very easy to get going
with just the chest and shield and add attunement everywhere
sentinel has many HC viable builds
the lightningblast runemaster is super good this patch and very tanky
Maxroll has a bunch of build guides and a HC tier list for them all
Oh thanks so much.. gonna look into one of the shaman types.. I play on controller so an auto-target would be great like shaman has. Ty!
go shaman reflect, you can thank me later
it's a walking simulator....you just move around and press thorns shield om bosses
sounds good, will give it a go, thanks!
how big is the hc community
Do you mean for MG trade purposes?
I asked mike yesterday how many chars have killed Abby and uber Abby in HC. And the answer was 775 and 53
I was in the stream and heard that ! I play softcore but my friend was wondering how big the hc community is overall before choosing between sc and hc
Did he give more info on the stream about how far players progressed?
If you play CoF it doesn’t really matter. Unless you’re expecting to farm with ppl. I’ve never tried. Usually I play HC CoF offline. But made a online char now since the season is so long g
If you die in HC in LE the chat goes to SC. It’s not like in D3 or PoE. Only the stash stays behind.
dunno, 1 person said to level together at lvl 45 😂
I just started... HC lvl 32 on my shaman.. but need a lil breakio, probably gonna play again in the evening 😄
53? Damn
HC even more dead than I thought
you can't completely out scale the content in LE like you can in PoE.
uber it not an easy fight in HC
considering 775 have killed abby, I thought that uber abby number would be lower
That's not true at all
Not every build can but that is also true for PoE
I've killed all ubers in PoE in like 2-4 seconds on a build that's 1 tap full AoE off screen clear with 250%+ movement speed.
which builds can do that in LE?
Not sure about this season as I didn't play much but last season I think it was a time rot VK could kill uber in seconds
Bear and Abom also totally trivialise the fight
Judgement Paladin defensively trivialises the fight though it's not a fast kill
But certainly a safe one
And in the context of LE specifically I would say a lot of builds trivialise the fight out of what it's meant to be
Fights in LE typically 2+ minutes on a normal build however a lot of the meta builds push that under a minute and beyond
The only thing in LE which cannot be outscales in the monos because yeah, they scale forever
those are bad clear builds, you can one tap ubers on a single target oriented build in poe
I've only seen that done in SC where it's safe to farm high corruption for imprint procs
You've also only seen it in SC because LE is comparatively a much, much smaller game with a different target audience
PoE to LE isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison
But to say LE doesn't have builds that trivialise the content it has available simply isn't true
Only one of the builds I mentioned have bad clear
yeah, but we're not talking about SC here.
in PoE I can set up a comfortable farm, make currency, buy items for uber one-tap build and go kill them
here I need to farm all the imprint procs for ages in order to get good enough gear to kill uber in 30 sec even on meta builds
and the farm isn't nearly as fun in LE
that's why we can't look at numer of uber kills here to determine if its dead or not
even if I kill uber here, what do I really get out of it?
That's a whole other issue, PoE is an economy driven game where as LE simply isn't
Even with MG existing now it's much more of an after thought than a feature at this point and again, LE is a much smaller game so the economy is much smaller
Sounds like you've come to a conclusion and are now working backwards to find out how your conclusion can be true
SSF HC PoE is a much closer comparison to what LE HC is
The games are fundamentality different in how you acquire gear
I haven’t. I said you can’t look at number of HC uber kills in LE and draw any conclusion about what’s happening in LE HC.
There’s no real reason to farm him like there is in PoE.
And even if you just wanted it as a check mark, you can’t force it as easily as you can in PoE.
In MG there is a reason, in CoF less so if you don't specifically need his drops
But I do agree the number alone isn't the whole picture
I did however expect the number to be much higher
I thought it would be even lower relative to the number of regular Abby kills.
I’ve killed regular Abby on 6 chars this season And didn’t even bother to try uber.
The number of regular Abby though feels very low relative to how easy it is to kill him now with the power creep.
5 of those 6 were SCF
That’s probably a better indicator of HC activity
how do you guys deal with the lag ?
Eat unhealthy food
Most of the time I play offline.
Hiiii
Someone is gonna "XD" on this one.
I made my hardcore necromancer leveling build from maxroll, now that I'm lvl 70+... I don't wanna go abominition because I need a brain for it...So I want to stay on the leveling build xD so... Anyone knows how to spend my points into the passives? xD Minion Health & Intelligence on the necro tree? xD
I'm on controller too though, you'd still recommend ?
idk anything about gameplay on controller
okay gonna watch a vid on how it looks, brb 😛
I dealt with it by switching to offline XD
You don't need a brain for Abom
You summon it and then go
It follows you around and just one shots everything more or less XD
Awesome! Switching over to the build! Thanks so much guys 🙂
Just adding something about the uber abbey conversation in HC, there's not really much point to doing it.
Not every build can actually get to a point where ubby is doable;
Its Drops are kinda whatever since there's nothing else to works towards other than killing ubby faster, or maybe pushing higher corruption for the sake of pushing higher corruption, since they aren't particularly "build enabling" uniques
I enjoy making builds around specific items/sets or skill interactions, generally I go up to the point of killing abbey with them, no real point in pushing much further than that, I'd rather spend the time doing another silly build and getting it up to abbey xD
There's also another thing to note, I've had characters die to a random Possessed rare mob at 150c that went on to kill abbey right afterwards with no real issues, so even getting to normal abbey can feel like a coinflip sometimes
you are immune (grace period) for quite a while on loading screens, but if you're spamming buttons after you click the portal you're essentially guaranteed to remove the buff early and kill yourself
https://www.lastepochtools.com/skills/grace_period "100% less damage taken"
the 1.0.4 patch notes even explain that "-1000% increased experience" line in case you were skeptical about the buff being real: https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-patch-1-0-4-notes/69349
You can no longer gain experience while in the grace period (the period of invulnerability after arriving to a new area)
Also helps to be super mindful of where you choose to teleport back from inside a map. If you teleport back to base/town from the middle of a huge mob, then you need to have a game plan when you use that portal to jump back into a mess.
Not build enabling but they are powerful and I think it is a worthwhile goal to strive for.
Sure, but like I said, there's no particular content to use them on other than pushing corruption or making your Uber abbey kills smoother
But I was mostly expanding on the why people don't really care much for ubbey in HC
For sure
What farming strategies do you all use in HC? And on what corruption are you doing that on with which build?
run campaign until temporal skip if you're strong enough. Around 65 i like to get the great bridge node on an empowered echo and run it over and over and over until lvl 80+ then push corruption to work toward abby fight
^^^ This is for top tier builds with a good item head start. IF you don't have those things, no temporal skip and empowered great bridge runs don't start until 75+
Where are my HC chatters in game
Grinding probably
I don't really do farming strats, I just do monoliths to unlock blessings, then grind monolith for better rolled grand blessings.
This is mostly cause I already have r12 cof and a decent stash so for the most part I can just slam stuff I have in there.
That being said, I only do up to abbey then occasionally try to push some builds into high corruption just to see how it would go, I don't bother much with double exalt farms and whatnot
I would say just farm where you feel comfortable, it's not like you can't get randomly killed even in normal monolith to an unlucky combination of possessed rare/champ
In the new season waiting room
qui a un meta quest 3/3s a me vendre venez mp si vous avez ! (ce n'est pas une pub!!)
Does anyone actually play Legacy Hardcore?
Do you mean MG or just in legacy even if you're CoF?
Either.
I’m sure some people do but it wont be many
HC chars tend to die, so the barrier to moving from legacy to seasonal is much lower than for ppl that play SC.
HC is also much less popular in general and a lot of players also tend to only play seasonal.
Not sure if it's most people, but it's definitely a notable amount of the playerbase
I love this games hard-core first time playing hc where all my deaths weren't server instability like in poe. And Diablo hard-core was just too easy. But I only will play seasonal.
Server instability hasn't been an issue in PoE for a long time
Most deaths in HC these days are probably either from a lack of experience or being one shot by a rare because reasons xD
just died to aura of decay at target dummy...
not fully sure what happened, since I had Ascence of Life node
happened as I was respeccing all passive points
Ya I don't play poe anymore I loved doing the races early on but those went away quick like
I don't really play PoE either but it's purely from burnout I think
Turns out there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing"
#❔┃ask-the-community message
FYI, don't press a rift beast portal if there are champions around it.
Is it still possible to sell things in HC Season right now if I made a new character?
In mg? I'd be surprised
possible? yes. Likely? no.
What's the level of difficulty/danger of the Level 100 Dungeons compared to Empowered Monos at 100 Corruption?
Much more dangerous it is equivalent to 250c except the boss usually much stronger
I wouldn't try t4julra or t4 titan in HC without high damage and defense for 300c.
Don’t forgot boss mechanics. Those are the biggest problem if you can’t insta kill them
Yes ofc you must perfectly know how to dodge boss attack or you die.
Ok thanks I will keep that in mind.
If you’re not sure about the mechanics, practice the mechanics on SC without attacking the boss.
Good idea
Hey guys, lvl 63 HC runemaster, my first time playing. Playing the game with no research, but I have a question about resistance. The game loading screen tips mentions that enemies have +1% resistance per area lvl. That means at lvl 75 they will have 75% resistance?
I don’t remember if it was elemental penetration per lvl or just resistance per lvl.. :/
They got penetration.
That mean at lvl 100 they got 75% penetration. if you miss 25% under the 75% res cap (you have 50%), you take 25% more damage than if you were full res.
In poe or d2 if you miss 25% you take double the damage.
In LE capping at all cost res is not necessarily always the first thing to do for your defense.
I never did understand the whole resistances being less important in LE compared to PoE
In PoE monsters do base e.g 100 dmg. And work 75% res you take 25 dmg. The game is balance around this 25 number.
If you drop to 50% res you take 50 dmg. Which is 100% more than 25 which the game is balance around.
In LE, let’s say it’s balanced around a 25 dmg hit when you have 75% res.
If you drop to 50% res the monster will do 25x1,25=31,25 dmg.
Which is 25% more dmg instead of 100% more.
What are the thoughts in here about corrupted items?
Do you have any gear on your current chars that you would corrupt?
Gonna have to see what effects you can actually get. The displayed corrupted stats didn't look that good for any builds i was interested in (like the stat converts_, but if we can straight up just upgrade tiers or add new affixes entirely, it seems like youll eventually want to corrupt everything that you can get a 2nd pair of
Nothing has changed basically as far as I can see in their reveals so far, so paladin judge paladin still strongest hc char?
We’re waiting for patch notes.
So whats the verdict?
I did CTRL+F for CoF, saw the imprint changes, and went to do something else.
Did you saw corruption rune and new idols?
My question as well 🙂 So far I am thinking Judgement Pal once again
They changed the step after 1 LP t7 slam going to 2t7 from 1 in 3 average into a 1t7 with corruption which is 1 in 16 (pulled up body armor) for just the right affix. To 1 in god knows what if there’s weighting for the 2t7 equivalent.
Just fail after fail after fail, granted you even have enough runes of havoc, which we won’t have.
Even if the power is the same as before, why farm this loss/risk aversion loop when I can go play PoE and get dopamine kicks while farming and any successive upgrade granting exponential power.
If the farming time is even close to that of PoE, the PoE farming loop is just vastly superior.
What is your goal for the season? Unless you’re gonna do this forced risk/loss aversion game loop in order to kill uber Abby, judgement pala is way overkill.
If you just want to get to lvl 100 and kill normal aberroth you can do that on a much more comfortable farming build before you even unlock CoF/weaver completely.
not to mention even in MG red rings, good exalts etc will rarely drop from imprints bottle necking MG and nerfing COF harsh to more difficult RNG gear progession.
I rather play poe2 myself.
Why post here then?
The goal is to do all content. Same as in all previous seasons, where I did that.
why post what? the answer to your question?
where else am i supposed to post it?
We're you able to kill Uberroth in HC?
I did. Although only once. Gotta pump that number up!
On a Judgement Paladin it's pretty free.
If you plan to kill Uberoth is an obvious pick because it is so safe.
If you don't plan on killing Uberoth play something else because Judgement Paladin is very slow.
Obviously if you enjoy the playstyle then more power to you. Do what you like XD
Nice dude I might hit you up for the build this season 😄
It is slow. But it is safest build. Especially as first char
Yeah I tried it in softcore and youre right it was so slow that I think I gave up. I think I was pounding at him for 20 minutes and his health bar barely moved lol
Then last phase has still got to be difficult to survive I imagine?
I know, that is why I said what I said.
I'm looking foward to set pieces corruption, we finally have a way to add stats to items that were previously impossible to.
As for corruption as an upgrade mechanic.. well I'm looking at it as a "oh nemesis borked this leggo, guess I'll just corrupt it and see what happens" failed slams are a good target too
I see people already planning using corruption as an "upgrade mechanic" and I can only see the pain of failed slams magnified 😂
Yeaah
EHG: We listened to player feedback and found most players hate the backend RNG of our crafting system so as a direct response we added even more RNG onto the end of crafting. This is a buff.
On the one hand, people asked for less back ended rng. On the other hand, they asked for corruption
Corruption itself isn’t bad but it on top of the system we have in place for crafting now is just asking for mostly negative player experience I think.
What are you talking about?
They anticipate this problem by deleting the only way to target farm exalted. You can't have a bad time with corruption if you can't have an exalted to slam for LP2+.
At worse case scenario you lose a 1LP that is easy to get. You can't lose a LP2+ as it is now almost impossible to get.
Hello travelers, Im a comeback player. First time trying HC mode. Does anyone know if there is any content that I should avoid doing?
Like in campaign
be careful and confident going into empowered monos. They can sense fear and will1 shot you out of nowhere
Careful with tombs and possessed monsters in the monolith, they can get quite nasty
Nemesis, Mages and primal mini bosses can be sketchy early too
yp any new build for season 4 that looks solid for hc? "COF"
imma try bladedancer but its tier b lol
Im gonna have a break from PoE 1 hardcore solo self found RUTHLESS now and come back to LE after some thousands of hours there poe 1 and 2 in 2 years. Hope i still get my adrenaline dose in hc CoF in Lagon and other nice fights with squishy rogue 😄 lets see whats gonna happen hehe.
didn't they nerfed lagon a while back? or was it only in campaign and non emp monos?
Yesterday i tried going monos after Oracle Abode me lvl 35 in area 62. All was ok but Tombs were much harder cos mobs got those buffs from breaki g some eggs
Probably campaign version..idk i last played season 1. Nithing nerfed back then
Got to run to empowered monos in offline i guess to see whats new so no bad surprises when game launches...
I used to go left side in empowered to avoid lagon, but stopped doing that recently
in non empowered*
Yea its safer..and after 90 areas go back to get blessing and kill it before it does his moonbeam or moonblast. Damage scaling was like 200-10000 and u got 2000 life so it can be small hit or oneshot just like Julras main boom
Typically fast on fast out, aerial assault on top, smoke bumb and spam net that triggers pubcture and therefore shadow daggesrs. Many other ways to fast kill too i guess
Got to distract their attention, decoy totem or other such and same time kill fast before it moves
uh, i did hc last league but i ngl its feel scary, what is the common killer in hc aside from poison mob in dune?
last char I lost to possession BS was a regen stacker with 2k HP and full resists, was in tombs on the lagon normal mono, fella took me from 100 to 0 in 1 sec 🤣
it wasn't even a Champion, just a rare
for me, Possession shenanigans generally
Prob Rift Beasts?
any starters for rogue?
Paladin still checking out to be the safest?
Shadow daggers
Can do both as long u have one dagger in hand at least
is there any planner to follow just to get the basics?
Maxxroll page has leveling build guide
Doubt that will ever change
Well if u are covered with full armour and plate and high res and insane liferegeneration then logically how can u die. Safe and who like to go safer and slower..tanky
I'll be running Bleed Dancing Strikes this season, its looking really good
Get a dc. 😆
in HC? That sounds rough, no?
Manynideas i have but inventing on the way depends how new rogue skills behave. Atm i wish i could have more than just 5 skill trees. Cos doing one skill it procs another skill and this procs another skill..3-4 link chain. Full off meta and nothing even close is in maxxroll page. Full invention in progress. RIP then go again np got all the time. Good luck and ss everyone in 12 hours! Time to sleep now
falconer is solid start imo
idk im kinda lost on rogue setups cuz never played it
a bit confusing figuring out the best spec, unlike mage where you know its LB Spark Charge once again
Probably Acid Flask
Heartseeker is good fun
It’s my favourite Rogue build
Rogue is definitely not a safe pick for HC though, a lot of your defence is a lot more player dependant but it can be a lot of fun if you want more engaging combat.
got it to 100 last season, worked okay, should be way better now since we can actually speed it up and, from how they worded it, it might be that we can control the dash distance now
most of the damage comes from bladed shield shuriken tho, which now can stack ontop of eachother
I'll be doing bleed again, but there's a crit/hit build there for sure
Echoes were fine, bosses were indeed painful tho 🤣
spellblade mana strike sparkcharge should be good too, especially since LB sparkcharge got a tad nerfed with the fragment changes
it got miniscule nerf
I wouldn't call losing 100+ spelldamage "miniscule"
we got corruptions and new idols or whatever its called
it will outperfom last season version
yeah, but the melee application got buffed %more damage, so mana strike spellblade should be good too
and will also benefit from said corruptions
you have to play mana strike which is the problem
I'm not saying its going to be as good, or better, just saying it should work fine xD
anyways i might try the new bladestorm + shuriken combo on rogue
seems like a no brainer
I will mess with it, bladed shield shuriken on it hopefully will turn them into chainsaws 😂
someone decide for me smite pally or forge guard forge strike for HC 😄
obv FG
will be tankier right?
eh. if you can weave in some healing, should be. pala just scales healing and dmg at the same time
but everyone does pala. live a little
True
starting my initial HC run in about 10 min if anyone would like to join. I move semi-fast
Man, i died like a effing idiot
Too much PoE with pause whenever i want
I should learn to never alt tab in LE when not in town area
A little late but I just started my character
Over a decade of PoE without pause already taught me this lesson XD
R.I.P
And you (hopefully) learnt a valuable lesson
Well okay then
2LP Jungle Queen literally first item I dropped after being transported to the future for the first time lol
anyone interested in starting up HC toons in about 15 mins?
Hey everyone, I just completed my first timeline. As part of the movement changes in this patch, it seems like you ** cannot move** when the Blessing window is displayed. So just keep that in mind if there's boss area damage or whatever still around you
wtf, lagon has done his beam animation after I've killed him.
Yikes
Remember than lagon don't die, the fight just stop because he decide to stop.
Maybe this time he decided to restart the fight.
omfg i forgot how to switch immunity in soulfire, what button is it?
i almost died then alt+f4, ahhhh
normally the 'd' button
for dungeon mechanics
do i need to do something to not die right away when i relog?
you should be outside of teh dungeon
For Paladin Judgement what do you guys think of the Maxroll Build compared to the ActionRPG build for HC? The ActionRPG uses Eye of Reen but still uses Wing Guards so can't crit anyhow. What am I missing there?
Anyone have a safe spot for emperor of corpses, seen so many people die to his big aoe one shot mechanic, even when they are clearly outside of it or even when he is already dead and its invisible
Even if they don’t fear him?
Didnt matter, I died to an omen tier 2 instead, a tiger hit me for 3200, guess the damage difference from t1 to t2 was drastic lol, lesson learned 😄 we go agane
Haven’t had much time to play. What’s an omen tier 2?
Aren’t there just omens in the map?
aren't both anurok and storm crows good?
RIP lag ):
What rift beast evolutions should one be avoiding in HC?
The chill whirlpools are OP.
yeah, those and the blue circles that overlap and shotgun and look kind of like crystals
but i dont know what either of those are called
that not an evolution, thats just the crystal heart beasts
I second this. Anything that says spinning circles of any type should be avoided.
Nobody killed Uberoth in HC yet?
might been a mistake levling falconer instead of bladedancer tbh
but since i dont have lowlife gear yet they kidna on par anyways
Not likely
what you guys been using as your weavers tree
ailment dots in omen fights are insanely overtuned
i just follow allies old progression
Season 2: Tombs of the Erased / 1.2
Sentinel (20) / Void Knight (78) / Paladin (15)
▸ Health: 4,890, Regen: 144/s
▸ Mana: 136.51, Regen: 8/s
▸ Attributes: 9 Str / 0 Dex / 0 Int / 8 Att / 60 Vit
▸ Resistances: 87% / 79% / 79% / 82% / 93% / 102% / 76%
▸ Endurance: 71%, Threshold: 1,476
▸ Armor Mitigation: 65% (5,223)
▸ Block Chance: 26%, Mitigation: 35% (956)
judgement pali as always
Thorns Pally has been a blast. I pushed Top 5 with it and got first Abby kill with it.
Got an Omen Boss kill with it too.
Going to try for Uber next week probably. I ripped my first one to something stupid. Releveling and getting my last 3 or 4 pieces of gear slowly upgraded.
Anyone able to TP me to COF Area on HC? Just ripped to lag 😒
yeah I can, what's name?
ty! its JarrBearr
Oh cool. I might have to try it before then 😉
I just need a few damage upgrades
Bug? Timeline Boss - Reign of the Dragons - The damage from the dragon's internal explosion doesn't scale correctly; the hitbox extends far beyond the displayed radius. I've uploaded a video to YouTube where you can clearly see this.
yeah. its been known for a while. #1486744068347269301
What are most people playing for Acolyte builds in HC? I looked at ladder but all i can see is skills equipped, not trees or gear. is there an externa site I can see this info?
Hi all, any tips for a fun hardcore build that comes online early or that has low unique requirements? 🙂
I dont like judgement though, anything else i can try
I was playing Warpath VK but i was having mana trouble (prob should have waited to level more before using warpath)
is it just me or the new ceramic hunger mob seems overtuned? the cone attack does a rly high amount of dmg and ticks very fast. im more afraid of that guy then omen windows. not sure if its intended.
Spellblade with Shatter Strike is extremely straightforward, fun and mega op on HC
I was like, level 30-35, already building 1k of ward when melee attacking
Then I tried levelling sorcerer for example and it felt 100 times worse xD
Sorcerer hast fel really bad in my opinion for a while 🙁 sad
its just temu version of runemaster
sorc supposed to have some easy access to damage taken to mana before life as primary defense layer
Random question, on HC when I roll an alt and fill out my weaver tree, do the imprints and everything take effect immediately or do I need to run a cemetery to go to Silk Road and speak to npc to “activate” faction? Almost seems like the ladder idk 🤷🏻♂️
Weaver tree only affects monos, not campaign afaik. But other than that there is no activation like in other factions
Hey guys. I really want to try Acolyte builds next on HC. Can I get some tips regarding defenses as a Lich for example? I imagine damage wise the main scale affix would be necrotic damage and damage over time?
SB was really straigthtforward defense. Scalled ward on melee hit and I was building massive ward shield. Just wondering what I could use for Lich or Warlock
I'm playing a build with skele mages using underlings to make my warriors into land mines. for tankyness, is Endurance/Block chance the way to go, or int/Mana stack potentially using cleaver a better route?
@trim snow @valid apex you're better off asking these questions in the respective class channels.
Not many ppl play HC so we don't cover all the possible builds
I'll try there, thanks
Do u guys skip omen while lvling? Seems so sketchy
yeah, until I knew I could insta kill all the small mobs
Both my deaths were omens or profane slam inside omen
Well it just made me realize my build had no dps
i think omens while leveling is generally way easier than monos anyway no
until empowered they are joke
1k slam one hitting my poor lv52
Well i was playing the laup relic but i didnt see how to scale it on a shaman
It felt good on early acts tho
But once u get spriggan its redundant so i tried not use it
I didn’t skip them during campaign and they give crazy level items. So double + if you can handle them.
During non empowered monos and being under leveled I skipped some until I was more cached up to the timeline lvl each Timeline basically. My build was weak at that time.
Most important part for me was a lot of leech/sustain to feel more comfortable
Mmm yeah i guess being underleveled in mono is probably what kills me
Wasnt there a penalty related to lvl difference between you and the map lvl?
I think -10 is max xp iirc.
With only one lvl90 timeline required to unlock empowered, you have to figure out yourself if your build is strong enough to jump to lvl100+100 corruption directly in HC. With my mid tier/off meta build I went for a second lvl 90 after trying a few empowered echos.
Has LE implemented any kind of failsafe for server instability yet? I'm dying to play again...
No
Probably never going to happen. I don't know of an RPG that has taken that stance yet
No and as Tony said, it'll likely never happen
This is why I play true offline. I play exclusively solo anyway and not having to deal with server issues or downtime is well worth the switch to me.
Of course, if interacting with other players is important to you then this isn't an option.
You're left with "just deal with it" or switching over to softcore.
Bummer, I’ve never played an ARPG with server crashes as bad as LE.
Exactly why I switched to offline last season
That’s a great idea, I think that’s the route I’m going to have to go.
Maybe it's different elsewhere but in 1100+hours on NA central i've had max 2 dcs
Lost both my high levels grinding then all of a sudden I’m casting with no cooldowns only to get booted shortly after and find my characters dead. Happened back to back within an hour of eachother a few seasons ago and never played LE again. Was hoping to hear something had been implemented to improve on this specifically but it hasn’t.
Playing offline might be my only option if I can locate my desire to play solo.
Same for me in EU, died only once to DC I think.
Still - it felt much better when I played poe2 for a bit, with the game auto pausing when lagging and stuff like that.
And pausing in general is such a nice feature, not just for HC. Maybe someday.
Nevertheless would pick LE over others every time and love this season (not the topic here but anyway).
pausing would be amazing. I just keep an eye on my latency and if the server is weird or my connection is weird i play sc or not at all. but 95% of the time (UScentral,at least) the server is stable
I'm also EU, I didn't ever disconnect but the server stability was very bad around Season start for me last season which is when I made the switch.
I play almost exclusively solo anyway so the impact is basically non existant for me.
I will very occasionally play with friends and if I do I can always start a character online.
I'm a SSF enjoyer
I really like the option to pause. Grim dawn also had pause and it made me try hc
I generally don't like pause especially in a HC environment, to me it feels kinda cheaty but I understand why you'd like it especially if you are hesitant to try HC in the first place.
PoE at least doesn't allow you to pause the game in boss fights
A boss is something you should commit yourself to
I agree, only time I wish I could pause is when I start lagging.
6 portals with log out macro
and why is that lmfao
its a game bro nobody NEEDS to commit to it
🤣
Just wait a bit, when you have a child, you'll understand why having a pause button in HC is so precious! Because you also need to commit to your real life, which is also played out in Hardcore.
I also don't like the use of log out macros and personally don't use that either
I didn't say "NEEDS", you enjoy the game how you want to, I simply stated my preferances. No need to act like such a child because I don't share the same preferrances as you.
exactlyyy
I didn't say there weren't good reasons for it, I simply stated that I preferred not to use it.
I did say I understand why someone would want a pause button but it seems people are glossing over that to defend their preferences from some imaginary attack.
At the end of the day you enjoy your game however you want.
If you aren’t willing to die to your dog pulling modem out of the wall, your next door neighbor cutting your cable line, or aggro from a real person, don’t frustrate yourself! HC is like life to me: it can end at any time for any reason, not only player mistakes. But always play how you want.
Well I would prefer an HC game with a pause button and no TP or alt f4 out of fight. But i guess we have the opposite. It is not very important though.
I still can use TP to pause, but the problem is it reset everything. Small inconvenience, i agree.
TL:DR, they don't know how to pause it in online
It's not important at all but I think it's overall a good thing if it is there even if I prefer not to use it myself.
Anyone got some ideas for a 3-4 man hardcore party? What builds would work well together / make each other stronger?
Honestly not sure LE is that kind of game
Sentinel has some party buffs
And an Acolyte could provide some curses
Outside of those two cases not really sure there is much synergy to be had
Judge pala to go in and tank.
2 ranged DPS.
1 healer? 😅
LE is definitely not that kind of game
I think there is potential but i am missing game knowledge / build knowledge
So far i was thinking paladin + frog build is a must
Pala gives endurance, ward from healing hands, symbol, aura buffs
There is an acolyte build, is it bone curse?, that did dmg to enemies when they are hit.
So you can make an acolyte that scales that but has no hit speed.
Then make another char that hits super super often but has no dmg.
They won’t do anything by themselves, but together that can do a lot of dmg. So you’re dependent on each other
Frog gives warcry, wolf howl, frenzy totem
I was considering adding a necro / acolyte, but they are usually low life builds, but being in a party with other people would cause them to get healed and cause issues for them
You could go mage for freeze and walls
Non aura judgement pala + frog seems to synergyze very well together though, adding more people is where i am kinda stuck on
If you just wanna get it end game. Any 4 proper builds will do.
Yeah, we got some decent characters, but i wanted to do something that becomes stronger when in a party to do content our gear otherwise wouldnt allow / be risky
That is just what Bone Curse does
Yeah. But if you don’t scale anything for hits yourself, you’re reliant on the party for dmg.
if one of you dies, are the other 3 just gonna keep playing?
Hard to say for sure, obv the goal is not to die, probably depends on how good the combo is, how far we can push it
are you all expereinced in HC?
Some more than others, but kinda, yeah
lich in hc giving me anxiety with the 0hp in town 😄
