There is just one specifc idol I'm looking for so assumed spamming idol profecy was the go to. It's not even a rare one it's just the aftershock chance on melee hit.

Reasons why i picked cof:

it’s true that “it’s easier to min/max in MG”. However, it’ll always depend on the current playerbase. No matter how much gold you have, if there are few players playing the game, you wont get the items you’ll need.

Based on exp, gold sellers are quite many. They bring too much purchasing power that’s why the meta items’ price skyrockets.

With cof, drop rates are enhanced, so you’ll likely get 3LPs most of your equipments. Most of all, the dopamine when RNG drops the items you need is just awesome. Very rewarding feeling.

One thing i notice on the advantage of MG is you can get uberroth gears before you even fight him which will make the fight easier. However, for me this takes the fun out of it.

But if I put it like: Imagine I got roughly one Havoc (even a little more) per 5 rerolls, then it sounds most attractive to me.

Did this 2 times now and ended both times somewhere around that 160k mark, so I feel that is a very good way to get Havocs (and endless Redemptions)

Im doing this right now. SPAM folly + cemetery of reweaving. Get about 150-180k amber. buy about 40 (140k amber) unclaimed troves and buy a few folly and cemetery of reweaving, then dump the rest of favor on conquered towers. Clear all the troves and make sure they are buffed by a folly, you'll have about ~100k amber, spend on about 50 conquered towers. Empower all 0 LP unique in nemesis egg and use farsight turtle, gauntlet of strife, and wardens watch to boost stats.

I'm on MG but even there buying the base is not easy. I have 4 LP belt on which I want to slam 2xT7 specific affixes, such belt doesn't exist on market (which is understandable) but even finding just any 2xT7 belt with big FP for imprinting is not easy

And then imprinting procs like once per 5 echo nodes (with lost caches), and often produces only single T7s in the whole pile

Maybe there is something better than spamming lost cache maps to proc imprints?

But in the end just personal flavour I guess. What ever feels good and makes fun, is valid 😄

I see people dismiss this question a lot by saying "you're picking to much up" or "just go to MG for gold", so here is a real answer, target set ring prophecies only pick up rings and amulets from the prophecy drops this will hit invoker sets a lot and you'll make decent gold per inventory slot. You can also do unique rings and use a filter to only pick up 1800g+ rings.

Do 6 cemetery of reweaving surrounding 1 lostwood folly. Gives around 1.5-3k amber per map. Take the weaver tree nodes for increased amber in echos, champion spawn rate, champions drop woven echoes (helps sustain echos a LOT, and you can reweave ones you don't need to try again), mages in echo, mages in cemetery, mages spawn champs, possessed by erased soul node, and all nemesis stuff.

You can do this in the black sun timeline to get a very straight map to run. You want to fullclear every map because it's the packs of amber mobs that gives the bulk of the amber, sometimes this means you have to double back for the cemetery after clearing l.

You can infinitely chain this til you run out of room on your map.

idk why people recommend doing cemetery for amber farming. cemetery has no echno reward after completion and you're losing out on imprint proc from that.

Cemetery of reweaving provides ~4k amber, has a decent amount of champions, and tight straight forward pathing for landing juicy AOE. Your imprint for completion reward happens at the end when you get to the altar. While in the cemetery tons of glyphs, runes, and weaver idols drop.

I prefer the loop of farm cemetery reweaving + folly buff until ~160-200k amber. From there I buy 40 troves, boost the troves with a folly and add 1 cemetery reweaving for 3-4 troves + 1 folly + 1 cemetery reweaving. Doing this gives you ~100k amber after all the troves are cleared. I then dump the ~100k on conquered towers and hunt for multi exalt and nemesis boosts. I use false temples and sepulchre to connect folly’s (all of these drop in a plentiful amount from cemetery of reweaving so you never have to purchase).

I like how there are multiple ways to farm, this gives players a choice. If one way gets boring you can always switch it up to another. The weaver tree gives lots of flexibility where you could even spam arenas if thats your preferred style. Personally I’ve found cemetery of reweaving to be the most enjoyable and also gives you time to strategize what to spend favor on and what to push through the nemesis empowerment.

What have you been doing? I might give it a try just to try something new.

Doing the same maps but completly mixed for my mental health, also like to mix in a few Folly-juiced normal maps, just to see something different in between.
But in the end it comes to the exact same stuff.

Ah, and we mix in juiced False Temples. Wouldn't buy them but they have a nice return and you find them pretty often.
Playing in a 2 man team makes I can basically run what I want, w/o caring for the cost

Unique items aren't always better than rare or exalted items, very build dependent. It's normal at your level to have mostly rare items with maybe some unique, set, or even magic items mixed in.
Exalted items don't start dropping until around level 50ish.

Whatever item type you can get a unique you need from. If you just want to burn runes passively, imo set a filter to show CoF-tagged rings just for shots at red rings, they are pretty generically good and very rare.

No, but you can have multiple prophecies active at once and they will all count at the same time. Some prophecies require multiple kills per trigger, so you may not see pops every time. If it just says "boss" in general, it will count any enemy with the fancy nameplate, including harbingers, nemesis, exiled mages, and some random enemies even.

I think most people sleep on Runic Hoard. It can proc of a lot of things and can give havocs. Ofcourse the deadly node Fury and Fortune should also be taken.

At least you don't have to sit and roll prophecies, I can't imagine anyone enjoying that.

A really good mage build rn is frozen sentinel's lightning nova.

He was doing 3k+ corruption last season on it and easily killed uber aberoth. Check out his yt channel for it

The difference between COF and MG is that you are explicitly not allowed to trade. Any gear that drops while in COF even gets tagged as "non tradable" - you can mouse over when next in game and check

COF is effectively solo self found mode with improved drop rates

Basically, if you're in CoF everything you get is by default "cannot be traded". For both CoF and MG, items get the faction tag when they are acquired or boosted by any of the faction's bonuses.

Prophecies can't generate boss drops. You can either grind the T4 boss with portal charms or slap the dungeon pack chance in Weaver tree and full clear when you see amber elementals in your echo.

The Weaver tree way is better especially long run, but grinding T4 is a good way to get your first one as soon as possible

There's a couple nodes in the upper left of the weaver tree that help in that regard - one guarantees that any time you get a tomb/cemetery it'll have a rune prison (the thing that spawns them), there's another that gives a % chance for rune prisons to spawn two mages instead of just one

You can use temporal key stones to quickly fill up stability and fight a timeline boss, make sure to enable the harbinger. Harbinger can drop an idol "Harbingers needle", this adds 3 more gazes for finishing the fight. Equip this and fight the boss again.

After reaching 8+ gazes, do 1 echo, a shade should spawn, kill it. Repeat.

I'm not a CoF expert but doing the following has worked for me. If you have a boss drop item and a boatload of favor to spend, you need to sit there and only pick Unique shields on boss kill and farm the boss repeatedly. Other options to pick are if the prophecy mentions the specific boss you are farming or even any unique weapon on boss kill. This should put the odds in your favor to get one or more of the shields (or other gear) that you need.

Items generated by prophecies are only ever from the global drop pool. The rank 10 perk (I think it's rank 10, anyways) for extra boss loot will help as that impacts boss specific drops, but the prophecies are irrelevant (though could be nice for extra loot stuff if you're going to be killing a boss a ton of times for a specific drop)

And Weaver affixes themselves are rarer just because the affix slots are not always both filled with Weaver affixes

Rune of Havoc and Redemption are much more useful, essentially required for endgame crafting, and modify drop only mods specifically. If anything, I think Rune of Creation could be more difficult to acquire from CoF but not always set FP to 0

Or it could be a quite rare glyph that gives you a copy of current item except with FP randomized between 0% and 100% of pre-craft on cursor, while applying an effect (such as Rune of Removal) to the item in the crafting window

Anything like this would also need to apply COF tag to it, you want to prevent MG players from feeling forced to also roll a COF character just to use Rune Prophecies too or something. Though I imagine most crafting type effects could be reserved for some future "crafting item faction"

I guess probably yeah, with current availability of crafting mats on MG definitely. You could make the argument that crafting mats should be more available, but I can't honestly tell if the scarcity of them is circumstance or intentional. A crafting faction would be amazing btw!

Also we have more tools to refine items now vs before which means more crafting steps, but we don't have more FP to get there.

The ceiling of what a good exalted looks like has risen but the chance any drop with potential to make it there (eg. Has multiple T7s) has is vanishingly small before running out of FP

Eg. Quite often I will run out of FP 10+ times on the "havoc shuffle" step before getting 1 successful finish

Rune of Removal is not lacking "some element of risk" already though. Nothing is more annoying than successfully hitting 1 in 4 removal only to be bricked on FP, adding tiers or whatever is fine since there is minimal risk. Maybe even reduced FP consumption or a smaller range.

It doesn't reduce FP cost, its a chance to not consume FP. My point is that the RNG feels flipped.

It's a high chance of a normal outcome with a low chance for a bad outcome, which makes the bad outcome feel worse. You hit your Removal then you are hoping you don't get the bad outcome of -25 or whatever FP.

Glyph of Hope is kinda the opposite. You still have the typical outcome, but you have a low chance of a better than expected outcome.

Even if the average outcome is the same, you could have a system work in a way that feels better / worse.

Yes favour is shared. If you join a different faction on 2nd char you can have both though. The process of "leaving" just deletes it all. (Unless they changed that recently, was like that last I checked)

You could load up on prophecies on the char that will stay COF though and burn favor before leaving on other.

Prophecy for the idol type you want. So check if you want small weaver, minor weaver, humble weaver, stout weaver, grand, ornate, large, huge, adorned. Idr how the class idols work, if you're more likely to get your class? I'd assume so but idk. If you just randomly farm idols and keep anything that looks useful, that is gonna be a lot of stash space, confusion, clutter. So you kinda wanna know which idols you want

Also actively filter for what you want, then just spawn like 200 idols prolly. I have had plans to do it this way at least. Seems like the only way to stay sane farming idols. Haven't gotten to it yet though (my second season)
