Minion Necro can start going into monos at mid20s to early 30's and that's with nothing. You might be squishy as hell but you can build a literal army. I've got a half baked self made build that has 20 or so permanent minions that can easily tear through things vastly above my own level.
is it just me or is the egg giving everyone better lp stuff than prophecys?

@frosty pelican @limber minnow Made some more optimizations and pulled 220k in my next 1 hour test run @598c (444% XP Imp Warcamp Info Echo), will upload VOD later... For my build I think MAXIMUM mobility/map traversal is ideal and that there's no real limit... Ther are a couple reasons for this, but the most pertient I think is that it acts as an additional insurance policy against bad spawns.
Being able to turbo rush the beacon while still clearing entire screen (lack of rares) on bad spawns is going to allow you to squeeze out every ounce of favor possible.
Also, it seems I was correct about Nem frequency scaling with corruption, base spawn rate also being increased... IT'S GONNA BE A FUN ONE! Probably want to secure a Solarum Ascent info node at 1.5-2kish (depends) on Fall of the Outcasts, Spirits, etc.

what are the benefits of using woven flesh for your build? is it just for the crit avoidance? not too familiar with warlock.
There are none... It's just easy crit avoidance, it's no deeper than that
Build is strong enough that I can avoid replacing and be lazy until 3-4lp Urzils slam
It's just really strong in general early if u want to be running a bunch of uniques and lack suffixes to fix stats properly, easy 1-2lp as well

Imp Warcamp I'm pretty sure is just the best for favor/hr
Solarum will be better for spamming Nemesis + Mages this cycle I think... Smallest layout means easiest/fastest way to pop Nemesis notification
I know what I'm trying today lol. For some reason I figured that this is the best way for leveling, but didn't make the connection that this also works for favour lol
I will try to setup a Solrum info echo on a higher corr timeline (probably 1.5-2k, frequency scales with corr and rarity too afaik)
I did 99-100 in exactly 3h (give or take 1-2m) in a Ritual Lake Info Echo around 300-400c I think? Which is nowhere near as good as my current setup.

More densely populated and faster time to beacon, it's just better all around imo... You clear only the east side of the map, from spawn to beacon, rinse, repeat. Ritual lake is too spread out and not as densely populated, not always going to be a straight line to the beacon, etc.

After killing 3-4 beacon waves, yes... try to round up and kill as many rares as quickly as possible... XP from beacon caps at 50% charge iirc.

What does Deaths of boss count as? Just the timeline boss at the end then? None of the end of echo enemies with the big HP bars?
timeline boss is the one that you fight after filling stability bar
"boss" is anything with the fancy health bar
This is what I thought as well but exiled mages, harbingers, thunder dragon, wengari's have not been counting towards this prophecy
But they counted towards a different "boss" prophecy I had before

arena prophs are generally bad and no one takes them. arena in general no one really likes unless they are doing a leaderboard push

im in normal. i just killed apophyis yesterday. i did the quest anyway and killed the boss! now have to pick between 3 blessings, 15% unique, 35% grand idol, or 5% experience. hmmmm unsure which to get. are they permanent?
Pick whichever you like . You can respec. I'd take experience if your circle of Fortune.
It also stored the values you roll so if you get a max rolled blessing you can switch to it at any time
the 15% unique drop rate rolled its max range though. I am CoF yes.

What would be a good way to search for a sword with melee cold damage X, spell damage X. and cold damage X% affix's?
I would be using it on a legendary Yrun penance sword to level of a sorcerer character till I get the lightning gear he needs

Affixes are utterly random so aside from hunting in timelines with increased sword drops, that's all you'll be able to get. Prophecies and 0LP Yruns -> bemesis egg are your best bet on RNG.

T10 doesn't work on exiled mage and dungeon boss
T12 is only 50% more items
Also if your prophecies proc after killing a boss , and a harby kills you before you pick them up, they're gone forever
So you want exalted swords .. use lens prophecies for double drops and prophecies have double uses and the 3rd lense is more sword prophecies.
Then just blast till you get it

I honestly think it's a lot better (especially after rank 10 is fixed), but it is mostly because it ties in very nicely with Nemesis. CoF drops the uniques you need, and if it is LP0, just put it in a nemesis. It's great synergy.
CoF is the best thing that could happen to SSF players

Any advice on transitioning from MG to CoF at lvl 80? Part of my gear is built with MG items and I expect a downgrade on my stats. but I prefer that over starting over (I don't have enough patience for another campaign)

yeap they do, if i normally see a big yellow circle i know, its close. just grind. if you wanna target farm them ( i am not sure) but i think they appear in the desert looking monos often

Does COF rank 8 double the chance to get ANY LP? I.e. if the chance to get 2LP on an item is 7.5%, is that now doubled? Or is it maybe just "lucky" (roll twice, take the "better" roll)
Short answer: its quite a substantial increase. Long answer: thats not how legendary potential is calculated

It basically does work that way since each LP is rolled independently and sequentially. If 1LP is a 1/10 then 2LP is a 1/100 doubling 1LP chance to 1/5 also indirectly doubles the 2LP chance to 1/50

Lmao, it's hard for me to keep track of everything and these particular issues were brought to me by at least 10 people
It’s especially terrible this cycle because 0 LP uniques can be chucked into Nemesis and pop out with 1 or more LP. So I’d rather get ten (or more) 0 LP uniques than two 1 LP… on top of that, the price of the 0LP prophecies is like 1/4, so really you’re giving up like 50 to 70 uniques for just 2.

I realize that, probably, technically, even in MG's sorry state it's probably still a more efficient way to gear, but with CoF, you experience hope...lots of hope, drops that instantly release dopamine when they hit the map. Right now....MG is like....the death of hope.

I can only say what I would do if I was in charge of regulating the market in LE. I would have a policy of extreme aggression against hyperinflation, which in practice woud look like a "do what it takes" approach even if it f'ed over a sizable number of players for the greater good. In this case, you could do something that's not a full roll back (too much time has gone by for that), but a brute force temporary gold cap that, yes, would affect the top 1% of players dramatically, possibly wiping 80% of their wealth or more instantly and it would feel really really bad to them, but would also remove excess from the money supply. My sense is the benefit is worth the cost. This status quo is unsustainable, both in the short term and the message it sends the market for cycles going forward. The incentive to not play MG is high going forward given their orientation to the market...if you're a rational actor.
so if they want MG to be a viable game mode, they need a socialized playbook that reduces uncertainty. Otherwise....this game mode for them is going to die. They could learn a lot from what PoE has done and how they've learned from their early mistakes.

They I implemented a system in which is much harder for things to hyperinflate. They created a situation in which they don't HAVE to engage with the player market. Once you stand up a bunch of in game market features and use a standard gold currency model, it's pretty different

i honestly dont see the in-game market as the problem. gold exploits existed and people duped billions. if we had to trade manually, prices still would've been inflated, maybe just with a less-immediate spike
The smartest thing PoE ever did was not have a singular ubiquitous in-game currency
because it allows them to not really have to regulate things as much....let alone set up an entire bespoke faction mode for trading
they outsourced all of that to third parties and the economy thrives almost every league
technically they dont but in practice they do. exalted/divines (and to lesser extent chaos) are just gold in bigger chunks
that "technically" part is not nothing
no but there have been leagues where divines were way easier to farm and the prices of chase uniques skyrocketed
it provides organic optionality, if one consumable becomes unreliable as a store of value, the community can organically swap to something else
that doesn't actually happen in practice. no one suddenly switches away from divines if they get too expensive
it absolutely would happen in practice if, for example, things weren't just easier to farm, but there was a dupe bug that allowed folks to just make an infinite number of them. 100% there would be a currency swap because market transactions would become super inefficient. when the cost of sticking with divines becomes greater than the benefit, there is nothing stopping a switch
and people do trade other consumables in PoE
divines are just the most common currency
im not saying they are never traded, i just dont believe hyperinflation in the defacto currencies would cause a shift. its gotten close a few times (ive only played PoE since 3.0), and everyone just had to deal with it

well it wouldn't for divines because an infinite number of them could replace the need to trade (another brilliant aspect of the system, there's inherent value in the thing itself, it's not JUST a store of value).
In any case, the market self regulates well enough and it's a lot easier than taking ownership of the market dynamics directly 🤷♂️

I actually think LE does a great job with in-game gold sinks...LA can be tweaked to do an even better job at this. The issue is that a single exploit can eradicate the whole economy over night like this and ruin a whole faction track for those who aren't aalready at the top of the wealth distribution.
Like, if you could get infinite divines in PoE for a short duration of time...like if one divine become super duper cheap....that's cool actually because, rerolling affixes has inherent value...cool, now that's easier to do. there's at least a benefit for me as a player if the market is oversaturated with divines in PoE. There's not player benefit to hyperinflation of gold, only downsides
well thats why i ask, because it sounds like the problem is that gold doesn't have uses outside of being a psuedo-fiat currency. you say LA is a decent sink but apprently not enough to combat hyperinflation

ah, no the problem is that the only people who can efficiently use LA right now as a gold sink are the same privileged class that has access to elite items, the marginal utility of each piece of gold is near nothing, whereas the marginal utility of a single divine can vary based on its value as currency, but there's a higher floor, it can't go beneath a certain value that is equal to its inherent value...does that make sense?
yes it does, but then my argument is that gold should have more efficient sinks. like I get that PoE currency has intrinsic value because you can craft with them. so to make the two system "equal", gold needs a use that is competitive with using it as a barter tool.
like the only people who have gold to sink like that are those who have already made it to the top 1% of the income distribution. Now if they temporarily made LA rewards sooooo amazing so as to make economic transactions less valuable such that people didn't want to trade, they could take money out of the economy...and actuallly, that may just be a brilliant idea

Mobs from beacon stop giving exp at like 50% I think, but I don't stand in circle to avoid accidental completion... I just kill 3-4 waves (always TP out after killing rare on wave 4-5 usually)
It's important to stack deadly + enrage for 80% xp, so my strat is to push to comfortable corruption and then hunt for Imp Warcamp Info Echo on Reign/Outcasts, set modifiers, go to town
Generally will need to be strong and not losing much clear speed for it to be worth pushing past 600-700c
Also u need to maximize mobility and burst to pump favor effectively in 1.1 due to hard cap around 1-1.5k... Max zoom meta and frontloaded dmg is king

It matters, but idk how much exactly. Running T4 is probably always the goal if you can do it easily, but T3 is not too much lower of a level.
chances of 2lp pretty low. only found 1 all of last season. probably early game strat would just do t1 for best 1lp rolls, getting 2-3 of them per run (once r10 is fixed)

the prophecy says after xxx timeline boss kill, not after harbinger kill, so it works right, devs just didnt think much about it

idk if others have already told you but you do not need to keep any legendary on you for nemesis egg, there is a stash button in the interface to open your stash and pick any legendary from there

oh so I got really lucky to get a 2LP one with good rolls! I slammed it and got T6 crit chance and T5 int, seems useful for various builds

just do echoes as fast as you can
push corruption until you are comfortable, then if u find imperial warcamp beacon echo, you can keep repeating it by going out at 40-50% beacon charge
it's not that complicated. yeah just push to X and then find Imperial Warcamp Info Echo (Reign of Dragons/Fall of Outcasts), and then set modifiers
enrage/deadly mod give 40% exp so if u happen to find it you can do that echo first before farming imperial warcamp beacon
Need to do a x3 Deadly/enrage into x2-3 Deadly/enrage... I'd recommend one of each, because stacking either or will be much more sketchy due to how the mods interact

the scaling past certain corruption sucks so people do it this way now apparently
ideally u push to 500-600c first because finding the setup can be a pain, and make sure u dont accidentally complete by standing on the beacon for too long (I stay outside the circle)
I did this last cycle too, except at 4kc and 700k favor/hr... spamming a good layout has been the meta for favor farming

it's just now there's a hard cap and max favor/hr will prob cap out around 300-400k, but the new rank bonuses + Nemesis help a lot

it's a pain to find the specific layout (Imperial Warcamp) on a beacon echo... I'm currently streaming and setting up at 950c (just found the echo, took 7-8+ hours)
I also have the setup on another timeline at 600c, going to test to see if it's worth moving up yet... Two best timeline imo are Reign/Outcasts due to native spawns

Depends on if you are hunting for something you desperately need. My rule of thumb is typically re-visiting when I can buy about five prophecies. I also use the double reward one so it makes them twice as expensive though

pretty much. the only other thing to take into consideration especially when starting out, is that spending the favor will give you cof rank experience, so if you are near an important rank milestone, spend it to reach that rank

If you slam a class specific affix on a unique the resulting legendary becomes class specific. What if you slam a hybrid-class specific affix on a unique? For example %mana is specific to both sentinel and rogue. If I use a %mana rogue armor for the slam, does the resulting armor become 1) rogue specific, 2) rogue/sentinel specific, or 3) unrestricted?

You're using shield rush for damage? How's that working out? I'm not being sarcastic, genuinely curious.
You use healing hands and the explosion + the echo after to apply ignite stacks from shield charge. Pick up the perk that returns you to the point you start and use health instead of mana. You spam it on a monster and it gives bosses like 900 ignite in like 5 clicks
use the hubris gloves to make bleed turn into ignite and pick up bleed chance in the FG tree

In the end it is: Don't idle too much, kill stuff and hope for the best.
As for any rare item, variance will screw some players. It wouldn't surprise me if players with more than twice my playtime with friends didn't see a single one either. I think this should never happen because it can be very frustrating for group of friends playing together.
I mean we can share all loot, even from prophecies, I think I can speak for my friend and say: We feel like playing together gives us a nice advantage.

It felt fine to us as well, but only at the beginning, when we were still using golden resonance to share items. Because golden resonance isn't really rare at all. But now we get good items and just can't share them. Getting the perfect item for your friend and having it stays in your stash because it's useless for you is quite frustrating.

Feels pretty good to me. They added faction req filtering for rune of ascendance use and LP/WW filtering ability. No minimap icons, though.
Overall the game play loop for COF has improved. Builds only need to do 300-1000 corruption. At the very least I highly recommend trying the new harbinger and aberroth content. The aberroth fight is very enjoyable.

I'd do both of the double lenses plus just one of the idol shape you're looking for, and make sure you have that idol shape's grand blessing (if it has one, the 1-2 slot ones don't)

it could be much worse in MG, for my build people want 300m for min rolled health/ele rogue idols. you could find, likely, an idol of any nature in day or two of efficiently grinding CoF prophecies

They stack, you can have a bunch at a time and make progress on all of them at the same time
the fact that i have to redo all my faction progress on my high level characters after a cycle is complete nonsense, i just wanted to a litle dopamine rush between grinding out another character, and instead im forced to grind on a character thats already done it, already has gear and now cant use it...if this is going to happen every time, I WILL NOT ever roll a new cycle character again, may not even bother to play.

Did they fix the Nemesis egg to start checking faction requirement? You could buy items off of MG with one character, put them into the egg on a CoF character, and the upgraded item affected by the LP chance benefit would have a CoF faction requirement instead of an MG requirement

There were no favor price changes in 1.1. Only prophecy reward change was "Rare Shrine Boots x4" rewards "Rare Celestial Boots x4" now.
A week ago, you could take a unique item bought from the bazaar (gives it MG faction requirement) and put it in the nemesis egg. If the item upgraded to a legendary (adds affixes), then the faction requirement doesn't change. If the item stays unique and increases the LP, all items offered by the Nemesis get a CoF tag which overwrites the MG tag.

One favor = Four reputation. For every faction favor earned, you earn two faction reputation. For every faction favor spent, you earn two faction reputation. Spending includes purchasing prophecies (telescopes), rerolling constellations (telescopes), buying lenses (vendor), and buying random items (vendor).
Rune of Ascendance crafting is another way to acquire unique and set items from the random drops pool. The item you apply the rune to will generate a unique/set item of the same type (e.g. Wand, Shield, Catalyst, Belt, etc). The rank 2 benefit of Circle of Fortune gives a 45% chance to not consume the rune in a craft when the item you craft on has a Circle of Fortune faction requirement. In 1.0, uniques crafted this way had a significantly lower chance to have legendary potential. Not sure if this is true in 1.1, but we at least have nemesis eggs to feed 0LP unique items to.
Honestly I don't think this is any more or less ethical than resetting beacons, both probably shouldn't be in the game as they are clearly not intended to be an optimal method of farming. The boss reset strat only gives a viable option to builds that are more heavy into single target where previously you were forced to spec full speed to get a reasonable favor per hour.

Who could have foreseen people going to these extreme measures when farming favor has been made far less efficient while keeping the cost of things the same. Raising the floor while lowering the ceiling, would have never guessed we'd being going to such extremes!

game is severely lacking group content. feels like playing diablo 2 again. I think if they added group content and a reason to group, as well as some LFG system (even if its simply discord like how D4 does it) that would help a bit.
Game is good ,but like lacks so much Quality of life on many aspects like after 800 hours I got a 2 lp apathy maw ,and of course bricked instantly,I feel shade needs a faster better way to farm it .LE desperately wants you to make alts and that's fine and all but balancing is quite garbage, specially life builds or melee builds feel way undertuned ,my rogue glass cannon feels tankier at a glance than my sentinel builds, only block build feels sort tanky .
this is me. if i want to squeeze more potential out of my build, i need to grind. so. much. i know grinding is a large part of arpgs but damn as a casual, i'll probably finish empowered monos when they release Last Epoch 2.
i am very open to other ways to progress or at least nerfing the amount of grind for favor/reputation.

Even the Big COrruption numbers arent meant to be the Ground for Balancing, iirc.

I really like trading in PoE, because crafting is so difficult, tedious, and expensive. I feel like gear that you want NEVER drops in that game, you basically have to craft it or buy from someone that did.
Last Epoch is different. Crafting on random drops you get is viable, and crafting is easy and fun. That's why I like CoF, because I don't NEED to trade when I can easily craft stuff myself. And getting drops is so exciting when I think I might be able to craft on it and get something better than what I have.
I know some other games like Grim Dawn have ways to target farm things, but I really like Last Epoch's design for target farming and it was made even better when 1.0 launched and CoF came out, then even better still with the Nemesis system. I have no issues with it and I enjoy farming the boss of Blood, Frost, and Death over and over again to find some Last Steps with 2 LP and if I get some with 0 LP, it's just so fun to throw it in an egg and watch it hatch with uselesss stats I didn't want! 😄 But hey I tried, then we start all over again. 😛
Exactly my point of view. ARPG's are meant for Farming, the Grind, the Exciting drops. I love it and play it, because of this.
And then something drops, with some stats that are on the first glance crap. but then you think about a funny skill combination with Class XY and want to try it. ANd an Alt is born.

the main thing you are missing is that its not fun for most of the people, very few stay for the endgame grind, also very few even engage fully with factions, changing latter to be more accessable to people is a needed step forward for sure

well whats the point of the faction system if over 80% of people get to rank 1-3? for example make all factions half unlocked after campaign and fully unlocked after unlocking emp monos, and then ofc add more monolith activites, delete/rework arena echoes, buff favor gain or reduce prophecy/mg favor cost, those are the things i saw the most in the community

I'm almost about to hit level 100, already COF 12, and the end game grind doesn't feel that great, especially when I see how easily people can acquire items on MG and repeatedly do their slams for min maxing. COF players have it extremely worse when you consider the low chances to 1. Find a specific unique you are target farming 2. That unique rolls the ideal LP (at least 2 to increase slam odds) 3. Finding the exact exalt with a T7 affix you intend to slam and 4. Actually hitting the slam when in many cases you are going at it with a 25% chance. You could easily spend hours and hours going through this entire process and just bricking the item. I get the grind aspect of ARPGs, I've played D2, D3, and D4 as well as a little bit of POE. The end game grind here (for COF at least) just doesn't feel balanced. Would be cool if we had some lenses that allow us to target farm specific uniques or maybe increased the drop rate of ultra rare uniques etc. I don't play MG because I don't want to buy all the best gear and end up bored with nothing to strive for, but yeah.
you can do all of that in cof but it requires u to play a lot, play specific build, play mindnumbing strategy on already lackluster endgame. They are limiting high end grind for no reason while also not providing engaging fun entrance to the system for starting players

at least they didn't fix prophecy event cycling for rewards since Harbinger Crests adds a step after every timeline boss that allows you to skip out on paying full stability costs
its really no different than formosus/abom, which didn't get fixed until after the cycle. As you said, it carries some risk if you don't have a loot filter that hides the labels to uninteresting items
only thing you can't do is collect loot from abom's four soul vessels, since the lower floor gas doesn't reset until you kill the harbinger

Yes, always use the double use and double drop lense. Then, if there's something specific you want like exalted helmets, use the helmet lens. If you want a mix of things from one constellation like exalted helmets and unique chests and unique boots, then use a lens to block content you don't want to play (like arenas or dungeons or story).

You can equip multiples of the same doubling lens, but the effect is only applied once to the constellation. There is no point in equipping TWO double rewards lenses. The consensus is ONE double reward, ONE double use, and one of your choice

you should probably be aware that the same applies to blocking lenses. You can equip one, two, or three of the same activity blocking lens, but the effect only applies once.

i kinda agree that CoF targeted farming is lacking, im a bit done as melee bladedance at 1014c now and only way to get better is with lp2-4 items, but cba to go lower corruption now and mindlessy grind that for hours on end just to brick my slam in the end, there needs to be something like 900c prophecies for lp3 items or something
or let me create a custom prophecies for a specific item with specific lp where I have to do a very special thing somewhere somehow, and the grind would come from repeating that to get good rolls and get favor to afford it. like, "Get "Wall of Nothing" lp2, kill harbinger in fallen empire at 800c while you have the deadly modifier active"

I was thinking, it would be nice if they added a shatter mechanic for uniques. Like you get a specific type of material depending on the item type you shatter. Say you shatter 20 unique gloves, you'll get 20 of the unique glove material. Then you have a unique vendor that sells uniques, the rarer the unique the higher the cost in unique mats. So instead of going through 100 unique gloves you don't need, you could shatter them and buy the uniques, from this vendor while still staying on CoF
my biggest gripe is how I spend a very long time trying to roll prophecies when I could just kill stuff instead

That would be another option, have a different prophecy for RARE uniques that are harder, or pick an item we want and maybe make it more objectives based on the rarity. Really, rares could be 10 objectives, but at least you're guaranteed to get that item, the same as you would in MG if you were just farming gold to buy the item.
i think devs want to make sure cof and mg feel different, i dont mind that, cof seems to be alot about loot explosions, and that you get lots of items you wont use but cant sell anyway
but not letting us filter for specific uniques for example makes this also very tough to handle, trying to look through 20 gloves cause they are the same basetype as my specific one is a waste of time

THIS... I constantly see people complaining about not being to get 2 LP items. I got 6 2LP Culnivars in one night, and I wasn't even rank 12 yet. Makes me wonder what the diff is.
While you can't have specific uniques, you CAN still filter for uniques by using a combination of the following:
Example item: Prismatic Gaze
Rarity Filter: Unique
Level Filter: 59 (Since the level requirement is 60)
Item Type: Bronze Casque (since that's the base type of Prismatic Gaze)
Since we're filtering for all 3; Prismatic gaze if the only unique that has that base item type, with that level requirement (the only other bronze casque above that level is a set item, which won't be shown anyway)
I get that it's a lot more work. It would be nice if they did indeed put the specific uniques in so we didn't have to do all this work.

If you use the level requirement filter AND base item filter, and set it to 84 in this case, it will filter out the 4 others.

I feel like I barely have any prophecies, I'm almost lvl 100 and still not even lvl 12 so it's feeling massively inneffecient, last season it felt a lot better in terms of how much/how fast you gained favor.
people asked and they literally said that "we are used to astronomical amount of favor from 1,0" while in 1,0 people who had insane favor are only 2k+ cor grinders, while people who complain abt favor now are people who sit on 300 cor
yea, that's where I am now, 300-500 corr. And I can't progress my char fast enough, I'm just not getting the drops I need. Play like 8 hours and get maybe 1 possible upgrade

You should be hitting rank 12 as you hit level 100, so 5% more favor when you go from rank 11 to 12.

they've always balanced around 300 corruption though. It's just they worse at balancing then which allowed for builds that could do ridiculous levels of corruption. Also, since the rank 5 experience tome doubling nerf, both factions are the same when it comes to leveling.

my guy, they literally nerf the xp% modifier starting at 300 corruption then completely tank it at 1000 corruption.

I'm really, really struggling to get the correct affixes on the correct bases. Even just T6.
Like, I have literally not found a single T6 mana(either one) dragon, gate, or crystal staff.. in almost 100 levels of grinding. Nvm T7. I got lucky and found a T6 mana regen on temple staff, but that's like, the lowest prio out of all of them. It's hella frustrating.
Then even if you get it, you still have to get lucky with your crafting on top of that.
I've found a single armor with T7 meteor, and it was on a terrible base. I'm bout to hit lvl 100 and am using a yellow ring still because I just can't find rolls on the correct bases I need for my build. Amulets I've only found a single T7 mana, on the wrong base, and with a dead prefix on top of that because bad luck.
Most of my prophecies I'm using for unique body armor, trying to get just an unstable core with a single LP.. like, I've gotten 12 of them or something, all 0 LP, and every single one got random bs instead of an LP from the harbingers. It's hella frustrating because I feel like I've just been using the same bad gear since lvl 75 and literally just don't get enough prophecies atm to get through the bad RNG. It's supposed to be almost a 30% chance for 1LP with the bonus, but I've yet to get a single unstable core that has 1 LP, EVEN USING the league mechanic, at almost lvl 100? It's insane.
AND THEN I STILL HAVE TO GET LUCKY ON THE 25% SLAM!
but regardless of top 1% of players, i have yet to hear casuals or newer players that sit on 100-200 cor that they feel good about favor or faction progress, so far what ive seen is vastly negative feedback in that section
neither faction are going to feel good at 100-200 corr this cycle or even last cycle. The changes though have made it better this cycle.
That last meta was super unhealthy though, it was more like you need to exploit some janky/broken mechanic to be invincible and then get as fast as possible with that (and/or do some really unfun gameplay)

last meta, you literally rerolled echo webs farming tomes near the center until your corruption was high enough where killing monsters gave more experience (which was around 300 corruption). Then you spammed the same echo repeatedly for experience or mages.
also why 1lp amulter prophecy even exists? nobody checked numbers on that. You would never want to take that even if you are farming for 100lpl items
and nothing changed, meta is still farming beacons, difference is that now we get lower favor
If I were to make a merchant guild char, I could get my core items in a couple of days and then be focusing on upgrades/perfect rolls. COF I can't even get my basic, core items going before hitting lvl 100
you get lower favor in echoes above 300 corruption, below that, it's unchanged. It takes less experience this cycle to get 1 favor than last cycle
but you get fewer tome xp which made up the majority of your xp gains in 1.0
it's definitely slower. You can't target farm favor by going for EXP tomes anymore, either, since they were neutered AND their fame gain was neutered
they needed a huge boost in how much favor you get through regular gameplay if they weren't happy with the targeted XP tome farming to keep the speed equal/consistent. As is, it's literally like 1/4 the progress it was the first season around

yes, and as I said, they reduced the amount of xp needed to earn the favor. At area/character levels 95 and rank 12, it's like 490 xp per favor. It used to be 750 xp per favor

to me its clunky and kinda sludge, mainly cause of favor gain and prophecy system, the reroll 2 second animation is awful, the numbers on cost/efficiency are way off, lenses are kinda weird
wish they just made prophecy in a list mode, without all these flashy constelations, you just press button and get a table, then reroll with 1 click and no delay

yep, delete reroll system. Make a shop and instead of current lenses you will have "efficiency" lenses and "item base" lenses.
also did devs ever explained why we have campaign prophecies, since the faction system is unlocked only in act 9 so you will not have it while leveling. is for alts/future?
there are only two campaign-specific prophecies, Liath (Chapter 8 boss) and Majasa (Chapter 9 boss). When they extend the campaign, they'll probably add more campaign specific prophecies.
On alts, you can access your unlocked faction in Act 1.

you have twinked gear and campaign skips. You can do monoliths starting when you reach end of time (level 20 or taxi). The hardest part of Lightless Arbor at level 20 is getting a key to do it. You don't even need twink gear to do that dungeon
I'd personally rather never do campaign, since the area level is so low. Arena i hate w/ a passion as well, so I avoid those.
The other dungeons can be ok, but their design w/ the mazes can also be annoying so sometimes it's just not fun running them if you aren't looking for a specific boss unique.
Most of the generic "kill boss" or "kill unit type" prophecies are great, and most monos are great, but it can also be annoying when you get a bunch of prophecies for a useless timeline, of which there are a few, and it means you have to put farming a useful timeline on pause.
no, my point is that on our fist character we wont even have factions in campaign. so there is no point for camp prophecies there, and for 2nd character we do have factions but its already has starting gear and has all the keys to skip and start monos fast, so campaign prophecy is useless in that case too. Overall it looks like pointless addition to the game that brings nothing but clutter in the roll pool

Liath has a waypoint in her room. Majasa has a short run. Both can be repeated by simply resetting the room (tp to town then back is quick).
As for useless timelines, Glyph of Envy now exists and can be used to get you to the minimum stability to do the timeline boss. Unlocking the harbinger crest makes "Death of [Timeline Boss]" events/rewards cyclable. Start boss encounter, kill boss, collect targeted items on ground that were filtered to show, leave instance instead of killing harbinger, repeat. You get charged 50 stability for starting the encounter. The remaining stability is charged when you complete the echo, which is when the Harbinger dies when the Harbinger Crest is active. It's just like last cycle, but for every boss with the harbinger crest unlocked instead of just Abom/Formosus.

There we have it. So both the "below level" as well as the "above level" parameters include the level which you are entering?
The "Level" condition will filter on the level required by the item. The item generation rules just happen to use that level requirement on the item to determine minimum area level it can drop randomly in. Prophecies and Rune of Ascendance crafting ignores level requirement when generating the item, allowing you to obtain those items before reaching their minimum area level to randomly drop.

it also depends on the dev's vision alot i guess, if they want to blanace stuff around 300c then neither mg or cof is lacking, both get the job done, so are most builds. I think when it gets higher than that, once you push past 300c get into 1000, see your build start to strain and need those juicy lp items you see mg being better than cof
ive never played mg, but i imagine their end goal is to farm gold to get the best items, that could invovle optimizing your filter to sell stuff that other peeps want, endgame for cof doesnt seem to be there somehow, you optimize your filter cause otherwise your whole screen is filled with trash i guess
i like how cof ranks give better quality items like more exalted chance, more t7, more lp uniques etc. but last rank of just more quantity is not it for me, initially the idea of loot explosions sounds fun, but in the end you just hide them anyway. Maybe a more targeted approach is what we need. but that would require a whole rework
for example, you can put a item into some kind of lense, and this give you a 1% chance per rank to drop that item on your next boss kill, higher ranks allow you to put in better and more items, maybe it starts with just rares with 2 affixes, then up to uniques with lp4 highest requirement and favor cost or something, basically giving you magic find% on specific items, one at a time.
True. But as an ARPG’s end game boiling down to min maxing and pushing as far as possible, makes sense to cater to that on some level. With the current system, I don’t think the average player goes past 300-600 range. You sort of hit a wall and feels less rewarding over time knowing you have to farm for hours just to find your targeted unique, with the right LP, and the right exalt with a good T7, just to gamble the slam and likely start over again. The rune to duplicate an exalt helps a bit but as you said, a prophecy to help increase target farming for a unique would be nice. MG can just buy as needed and skip all the farm time, but sure that heavily varies on the item and gold dupe ruining prices impacts that all heavily.
the thing is that you can complete 300 cor in blue/yellow items on a lot of builds, so the whole "we balance game around 300 cor" pretty much a pointless conversation since it disregards any endgame items or progression
and abberoth is way harder than 300 cor, i hope they will balance the game around that instead of constantly throwing this 300 cor number
It was a lot easier for MG players to down abberoth because they had much better gear on day 3/4 than even the top CoF players
yep because corruption wise abberoth is on the level of 500-700 cor, not 300, and thats where cof gets behind mg

I did one test on ritual at 400k / hr at 3k with mid end gear and a slower build
that was a bad single target setup doing a single target focused echo
People during the warcamp beacon were ~800k or more
I think this league we might top out at 300k ish, last league probably top out around 1M with a fully optimized speed setup
Afaik I was the only dude who reached 950k/hr last cycle. But I know a couple others who were around 800k.

they made the change so it didnt feel mandatory to run 3k corruption. but in doing so, have nerfed cof prophs at the top end by 60ish%

Yeah, the average player is getting slightly more favor now than they would have last cycle. Bearing in mind that the average player, assuming they unlock item factions, doesn't even reach empowered monoliths. For the typical high end player that actually plays empowered and maybe even maxes out their faction rank, they are getting significantly more than before. The only people that got nerfed are the 0.001% that push the boundaries of the game.
(and even those that got their favor hit benefit a ton from the new ranks)

Yeah, according to the devs, even among those that do monoliths at all, the ones that get to 200c are a "teeny tiny super elite %"
and when comparing 1.1 favor gain to 1.0, favor dropoff doesn't really occur until somewhere between 300c and 1kc
Yeah, especially if it's the actual specific base you want, like "rare bone amulets". The prophs for rares are just so cheap.

Yes, according to some people that are not me, they crunched the numbers and it seems like you get more exalts per favor spent by getting the rare prophecies. Or something like that, I never actually looked into it. I grab the rare ones when they seem decent, and it does feel worthwhile.

Hey, does rank 8 double your drop chance for all LP (for instance the 3.12 *10-32 for 4LP whatever is doubled), or does it just double my chance for 1LP
all LP, it first rolls for 4LP, then if that is miss it rolls for 3LP and so on and if you didnt hit any of them it drops without LP. the rank 8 doubles the chance for each of the four rolls it does

It's the other way around, rolls for 1 LP and if it gets that it rolls for 2, and so on. CF just doubles the first roll (which indirectly means all the other rolls have a higher chance).

I personally farm up 100k then use it all
yeah. When I spend only 20k every time, I get to have like 5 good prophecies maximally.
Until you're rank 12, you want to spend it all as soon as you have enough to rank up by spending to get the next +5% favor boost and rank bonus sooner. After that, doesn't matter, I usually just go for certain things I want to upgrade
I am at rank 12, and wondering if it is better to get more frequent small explosions or less frequent but bigger explosions
It makes very little difference really, you can progress multiple prophs with the same condition all at once which is nice, but then also you may need to really tighten your loot filter so your screen doesn't get flooded lol
I think the meta tactic is to set up some degenerate play loop on a single echo that you never complete, which works better with stacking up tons of prophs at a time, but I always recommend just playing the game normally, it's a lot more fun
I prefer building up favor to purchase a bunch of prophs that can be completed together. Fewer timeline boss kills needed for the same number of prophecies

They can be done in higher areas. Tier/Corruption requirements are minimums. Similarly, rewards with Weavers Will and Legendary Potential are also minimums.
weird i have a kill mages @ 300 corruption but im currenlty @ 400 and have slain multiple and not gotten the profecy completed yet
if you look at the prophecy event, there is a number on the icon. You need to kill that many mages for the prophecy to drop the rewards

I'm going to get a lot stronger once I swap to endgame build, and my Triboelectra build I think will also be really good for speedfarming
I think my issue with the build I have is the delay on spark charges, I often attack more than I need to
need to get used to how much damage you will do and move on
my plan is to spam evade + TP with Triboelectra and try to get staic orb + spark charges to do most of the clearing

tied to evade cd, so I can proc both elements with fissure and TP twice in a row every 4s, or once every 2s, with the same button, it feels super fluid/non intrusive especially due to how Fissure functions

yeah it's really absurd and the potential mobility factor probably should be toned down a bit
