That seems to be the safest bet, you could try relogging for science (even safer to close both LE and Steam) and log back in, and buy the cheapest prophecy you can find. If that works as intended then you can play as you'd like, if not, it would mean waiting, unfortunately.

So I just picked up my first Prophecy and it said 4 unique weapons so when I purchased it for 1500 favor. When I went to check it the Prophecy I have is completely different. It changed from 4 unique weapons to 3 Exalted maces. Is this a bug?

I think you're right, but with CoF being very strong too, a lot of people are doing that instead, I've been told supply is a bit scarce because of that.

Don't think that's how that works. If I'm rank 5 and I get a lens that increases chance to find staves by 20% per rank, I assume it doubles my chance to find a staves prophecy, the reason it doesn't seem too apparent is because there's so many possible weapons to roll. Maybe at higher rank it will be more noticable.

rank 9 when a set item drops chance that the whole set drops (single set dropping not tagged COF, but whole set dropping will become COF tagged?)
Items dropped as rare have a 25% chance of becoming exlated meaning if it was a rare that becomes exalted it will have COF tag
Rank 6 uniques are twice likely to have legendary potential meaning if any unique drops with legendary ptoential drops it will be COF tag

No, MG items get tagged with MG ranks too. So if you switch either way you can no longer use items from the other faction.

Lenses go in the slots in the bottom left. Block things you don't want to do like arena. Use item lenses to target items you want more prophecies of to get more drops of those items like swords or bows. Its not as complicated as it looks. Pick the loot you want and block the activities you don't want to do. Lenses for items will stack so you can use 2 or 3 sword lenses to get even more sword prophecies.

Its hard to say. If you need one specific item with specific rolls, I would wager MG is the better choice. You can search for it and get it "deterministically" by farming enough gold even if it ends up being expensive. CoF can help you target farm but at the end of the day there are no guarantees that you find the item youre looking for

Dungeons have 4 tiers, the 4th tier can be quite challenging but the lower tiers are very managable. Dungeons also have unique mechanics for each that can throw you off and switch things up. Lightless arbor has a mechanic that you need to kill enemies "in the light" and you have a floating stone that you can control to bring the light with you and damage the monsters

Your faction reputation and favour is account wide. But each character can individually choose which faction to join. Leaving a faction on a character means wiping the favour off that faction (not reputation) and because favour is account wide, that means all favour of that faction would be gone

CoF has no queue, you can join the faction in act 9, its part of the story questline.

If you make 1 character, you can only have access to one faction, if you max it, and leave it and join another and max that, then yes you would have 2 maxxed reputations with both factions but you can still only be part of 1 at a time on that single character. Your favour of the faction that you left would be wiped too.

The way these factions are designed, the easiest way to think of them without extreme levels of min-maxing is as 2 separate guilds that your characters have the option to join. There is not much room for overlap between the factions, by design. Items from the Auction cannot be worn by a character in the COF, and COF tagged items cannot be worn by Merchant members.

I think he meant the level / mono grind. The faction rep is once per faction per cycle (season). IE all CoF characters share the same rank/rep. And All MG characters share the same rank/rep.

I am very excited to see what they have cooking cause I think they could be really fun. They have explicitly said they are not adding legendary potential to them, which I am happy about. IMO maybe give us a way to rip the set bonuses off a set of gear and implant them onto legendaries. IE maybe turn a full set into an affix shard that imparts the "set" onto an item. That way you aren't incentivized to really wear the items, but the full sets are still valuable to obtain. And trading an Affix on 2-5 items for a set bonus is a power tradeoff choice, rather than a flat "you always want this".

Would be too strong, I'd say. Set items are often much weaker on their own but have the set effect to make up for it and then some more. Enabling that strong effect on actually good items in their own right is a lot of power to get.

Lenses are per telescope and you only have 3 slots. So lenses in one scope dont apply to the other. Meaning you dont have room for all regionals.

You should make sure that the greater lens is in the right telescope and that you ahve refreshed the constellation

CoF gives you bonuses to find better items like t7 afix items which normally isnt obtainable or increases idol drop rate or doubles monolith rewards but you cant sell CoF tagged items in the merchants guild

This isn't the merchant's guild so this isn't the best place to ask for trading. But in the merchants guild you buy items with gold. But if you're in CoF you cannot trade those items on the bazaar, in fact you can't even interact with the bazaar at all.

With CoF, if I have selected 2 prophecys, can I see them before I complete them or do they show when I complete them?

No it didn't. You either choose circle of fortune and get extra drop rates for yourself or join the merchants guild to trade with other players. You can swap back and forth and keep rep for both. Circle of fortune tends to be more for solo people while also letting you trade with friends if you get a very specific currency.

Quick wquestion. when you first get introduced to the faction, you get a sidequest to obtain a prophecy. You can't complete it until you go kill a bunch of stuff to get enough favor to afford to purchase your first prophecy, right?

The market is wild, some stuff is way way underpriced and its nice to know that if you grind enough to get enough gold you can eventually get the item you want. The real difference between greater and lesser lenses is that lesser ones only fit in one area, they are specific to a type of telescope. Where greaters fit in all of them.

okay so, fulfilled 0/x times means that this prophecy can repeat x amount of times for rewards. The number before the skull is the number of the mob that you have to kill before you get 1 completion of the prophecy. If it doesn't have the "fulfilled 0/x times" line at the top it means its single use only.

I have another item that has no crit chance suffix, but provides 119% spell crit chance, but decreases my total spell crit chance by an ENTIRE 23 enormous percent in my stats when I wear it.

How does this many ANY sense, what am I supposed to do here to make sense of it?

The 5% is probably an implicit that gets added into your base crit chance

Merchants Guild allows you to trade items with other players on the auction house. Circle of Fortune is more of a Solo Self Found setting, lets you target farm different items like keys, specific unique item slots, etc.
