MP is not complicated, its works very well, however they still have multiple vendors to buy from (not one), but you can sell any items from any vendor which is nice. However you need to know the name of items you want to find before searching.

Overall, its my first season on MP and its been very intuitive and easy to make money quickly.

Do yourself a favour and install the TSM filter, by far the most popular MG filter. I'd suggest joining the Discord as well as the community is great overall and extremely helpful. To put it into perspective how good it is I'm level 93 and have made like 15 million gold.

Too many variables in regards to how quick an item sells. A simple way to view it is if the item has demand and you list it for the lowest price it should sell very quickly. As I mentioned above install the TSM filter and start making bank.

Inflation has been very low overall this cycle which is a nice change from the previous cycle. For example I bought an excellent rolled LP1 Nihlis earlier for 2.5 million gold, an excellent rolled LP1 Unstable Core for 1.2 million gold, a well rolled LP2 Twisted Heart for 2.2 million etc.

Looking at the merchant guild it looks like several idols with worse rolls are listed for 1 - 2 Mill while one with 1 roll below mine is listed for like 17 mil.

How do I tell what is a good price to list it? any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have never done Merchants guild before. Thank you!

Well it depends on how patient you are and how bad you need money fast. No one can really answer that question for you. Another thing is there is no way to see what previous items have sold for on the bazaar which is a large design flaw imo. Personally I would list an item like that at gold cap 1.5 billion. It may not sell for a few weeks or not at all as it largely depends on whether or not a gold dupe is discovered this season. Since I also play Legacy it wouldn't effect me if it didn't sell as I could just bring it to Legacy. If you need the money quick maybe list it for 16 million but beware that the price on that item may go up in a few days or few weeks. Its up to you. As I stated earlier if we had access to records on what items sold for you'd be able to understand the items value better, but we dont. The item is only worth what someone else would pay for it and we have no way of knowing what that number is unless someone tells you they just bought one for X amount of gold.

if you go to the right npc, you can shift right click the item, then click search and it tries to populate the fields for you. for idols it works pretty well. for exalts and uniques it can be too specific coz it often adds affixes which dont matter, but you can manually untick the ones that dont matter (you need to know whats good and whats trash)

then kill normal abie, he drops 50-60k gold,. Kill him 18-20x then you'll have 1m easily. Easy gold.

Or if you can kill uber, he drops 100k gold per kill, kill him 10x then you'll get 1m.

Then the loots you get, just vendor it, or post it in merchant for extra gold. Easy cha-ching.

imo the easiest way if you just wanna farm gold and cba too much with min-maxing is to just enable all weaver idols to appear, pick them up and sell those. Some can even go for a few hundred thousand and doesnt take too long to setup filter for it. If you then wanna go more ham you can check what idols top builds are using and single them out so u know they sell for a high price!

If you mix factions, CoF is good at printing Rune of Ascendance and Rune of Creation. Iirc for early game also Rune of Creation, Rune of Discovery, Rune of Shattering, Rune of Removal. I started MG with rank 12 CoF and 1.1k Rune of Ascendance. Printed 3 Red Rings and I still have 700 Rune of Ascendance left

Runes aren't tagged, same as stash tabs. I kinda figure that's the biggest things the factions can offer each other

Also printed some Traitors Tongues (though my LP3 was from Skarven iirc), Pale Oxes, bunch of Heirloom of the Last Nomad (cooks relatively well though not common, but you get it as a side effect of aiming for RR)

Also that tree ring is decent value if like 17% total movement speed, and should cook well in nemesis egg

With so many rune of ascendance, I'll honestly ascend anything. But I focus dagger, body armor, ring

It was just a bug, that easily markets can get messed up.

As for why they did it, it was probably people that wanted to have infinite resources to purchase on AH, competing against others doing the same, leading to massive inflation

@acoustic gazelle Did you know you can actually check yourself? If you go to the body armour vendor. In your inventory if you hover over your item it will say to CTRL right-click and it will filter Ur item for you

Then just search and it will search for items on market with Ur stats. And you can see what they on market for.

So majority of end game is t7s with a mix of t5s. But having T6 health and T5 strength. You could probably get 100k+ but then again I usually filter the search to my items and base it off that

And 3 perk items with FP left will usually sell higher depending what's left (prefix or suffix) as someone can add on the prefix/suffix they need and use Havoc to reroll and try get the T6/T7 on the perk they need

I played this game for 3 weeks and 300 corruption, never found 4lp item yet, few 3lp but useless items and few t7 items,

I only knew favor has been acquired so I tried buying items for my build on Bazar, some missing but majority there, and also can select legendary affixes. I used most gold on stash. it's also so long to put uniques in stall. I regret spending gold on stash instead of items for each class build. stash cost already 90-100k. . also exalted items should I instead sell them it's hard to julra farm and combine the items since keys are scarce . .

(COF Player) Just started a MG Character, How do people make money here? seems like no one is buying (most listings are hundreds of days old) and at this stage most general gear is too cheap to sell and the min/max gear are too expensive to buy.

@dark pecan That's why as a MG character from the start of 1.3 I advise people to go CoF this time of season, in general less people are playing and simply there's not enough gold in rotation and those old listings retain their price when there were more people basically and the prices were somehow justified, we are trying to adjust to those prices and undercut those old overpriced listings but can't do much more unfortunately

You can try going for good old briar idols (for the reflect builds) but they also need time to be farmed and their price varies a lot depending on a roll you get, extra points if you have a serene/restful prefix on there but it's quite rare to get both affixes on one idol AND have the reflect value well rolled

You plant lostwood folly and false temple woven echoes around the folly

It yields a nice amount of gold because of the gold shrines there and that should help you a lot, lostwood folly adds monsters that drop weaver idols and false temple has many shrines (of which few can be gold) as mentioned earlier

Also good loot filter helps, get a loot filter from discord called the sanctum market

For example in very high end builds it's sometimes a matter of weeks of sales to get only a chance for an upgrade like 2lp red rings or 3lp of another rare item

you can easily get gold by farming normal abie, he drops 40-60k gold each run with gold blessings then sell all his stuffs in the market for bonus gold,, beat him 20x then you’ll get 1m gold. npc sell all green stuffs you get for easy 1-2k gold. or beat uber, he drops 100k gold per kill

if you farm hard, just beating normal abie can atleast give you 10m gold a day

I've just started my first online char, and I found a bunch of 1LP and T7 exalts already for my build. There are even some 2t7 bases you can use to imprint and get going, but you need gold for that. I find it fun after 200+ hours on CoF in offline mode. But I'm not even finished with the first monos, so we will see

Yeah rn COF is the way to go. This late in the season MG is just dead to go on. But when League start for next season, Make billions on Idols.. Never need to go COF ever. I wish really late in the season EHG would reset the MG so it can be a fresh start so MG can play and sell later in the league

I've just made a first online char MG after 2 chars in COF offline. I actually find it's fairly easy to get 1 LP uniques and 1T7 exalts for the first slams. Much easier than it was for CoF. I also got a 2t7 chest for cheap and a player was kind enough to gift me a 2t7 bow yesterday. So with 1-2 LP items and 2t7 exalts, it's doable I think. I'm not sure how well you can sell the items though.

Of course. I have a “TOP ITEMS” stash tab where I keep my BiS imprint bases so I never accidentally craft on them. Amulets are just hard to farm as you can’t run troves to drop them, only random mobs and echo rewards. So now I’m doing rampant coast farm while speedrunning echoes at 1k corruption. My char can handle 2k too, but it gets a bit slower. Do you think it’s better to farm at 2k?

Hey guys. I would like some advice. I’m planning to hop in the new season at the end of the month and I’m curious if you guys think I should go with CoF or merchants guild?

I primarily play solo and try to make my own builds which often are pretty mid. My builds can usually clear all content except maybe uber aberoth, but they don’t clear screens. In the past I’ve usually gone with CoF because I’m not very good at “playing the market” like in POE2 I’m terrible with the market.

What is the market vs CoF like right now? Do you think it would be more beneficial for me to stick with CoF or go toMG for the ability to actually purchase upgrades since I don’t often have builds that clear screens for quick farm.

you can shift right click the item and it will try and auto populate the search fields. take it with a grain of salt though coz sometimes the auto populates aren't great and you need to manipulate the results to make sure you're searching for the important stuff, which requires you to know why people use certain items

Shift right click on the item when at its trader and got search, it'll put the item in you have and you can semi quickly prove check that way

so you have to go the correct vendor, then shift right click your item and it should populate the fields and search

the main issue is that for say an exalted item, it will put the subtype of that item which makes it way too narrow of a search. so you need to clear the subtype.

the forging potential being filled out also doesnt help

the issue when searching uniques is that it ticks too much stuff and makes the search too narrow again. it also requires you to untick whats not needed, and to know why an item is good

This is my first season playing MG.

It was really cool at the start. I was able to get some nice upgrade with just regular leveling and grinding of monos. The coolest part being that I was actually able to get some idols that work for my build. (I really didn’t sell anything)

Now it feels like a very bad decision. Anything useful seems to be 5M (2LP) or 30M (3LP). I spent 5M on a 2 LP item and missed the slam so now I have to grind 2-3 days to do it again and hope the slam hits.

I don’t know how to tell what’s worth picking up to sell and what’s not. 99% of what I have sold has only sold for 8,000-20,000g. I think I had two items sell for about 500,000 gold and in total I’d say I’ve made 2.5M on selling items.

I’m level 99 doing 500c and I might see a single 6/7 exalt in a day if I’m lucky, usually not one I can use. On CoF I could just print exalts all day with prophecies. I think the only hard part on CoF was getting idols.

If you’re good at market stuff I’d imagine it’s great. Someone was telling me the other day how they easily make 5M in a couple of hours. I have no clue how that works.

Worth pointing out that you should sell immediately upon finding drops, rather than stashing first if you don't enjoy the buearocracy of price-setting. The market is very liquid in the meta-build-space, exalts and idols so you can lose a lot of money by hoarding stuff in your stash. You should be using your MG stall as an extra "hidden stash" (sadly, it doesn't have a search function, I wish it did).

You need a constant influx of reasonable money (ie. 200k-1mil per play session) to fuel your ambitious endgame builds beyond what bokchoy mentioned for the ~500corr range. If you don't figure out cash flow early, you'll fall behind the curve with people outfarming and outbidding you on the high-liquidity items (16 stat exalted rings, 24stat chests, rogue/mage/sentinel chests, daggers, uniques)

the other thing is that whales with the money will only buy shit until their interest in the game lasts - once the season is longer - no buyers anymore and all thats left is for non-meta

That will always be an issue at any games with a p2p market.

For most part you can on most meta builds get sorted on semi endgame items for 2-500k per item upgrade, which will give u nice performance boost.

And allows you to farm more effective, make more gold, start to sell stuff ect.

Don’t expect to start a new character and 2 days after have 200 mill+ items equipped :) - Merchant guild allows you to work towards a more certain goal, if you put in the effort to farm gold :)

Personally I enjoy Merchant Guild a lot this season, played Season 2 as CoF and after 2-3 weeks I had sort of seen what I needed, with 15+ stash tabs with potential gear for alts I was never gonna make :D

I was discussing this in general, but should say it here. IMO, super expensive items are generally not worth it this season.

Let's take Titan Heart for instance. Right now, an LP 3 Titan Heart (~16M) is 20x the cost of an LP 2 Titan Heart (~800k).

Each LP2 Titan Heart has a 37.5% chance of rolling a Corrupted Affix, and some of those are insane and much better than an extra T5 affix that you would get on an LP3.

I've went through 9 Titan Heart LP2s, and landed on +1 All Skills & Added Mana. I would have been okay with All Attributes, Stun Immunity, either of the Increased Health affixes, Endurance+Ward Threshold. All of these are better than T5 Affixes.

Can apply the same principle for any gear piece to deck out your character on a budget.

TLDR: Target moderately rare items that you can afford to go through several of to get good corruption, instead of the hyper rare items that costs several times the value of the moderately rare.

Optimal is to buy the LP3 and hit the perfect affix in one try, but if this is you, you def don't need any of my advice.

Not all of the corrupted affixes are good. Maybe more like to 1/10 chance of hitting something that is definitely better than an extra T5 Affix.

But still, through a dozen LP2s, exalted base included, youll likely end up with a better item for less cost.

Plus you're gradually upgrading in a way, wearing your best piece you have at the time until you hit the one of the ones you really want.

But if two people had the funds for an LP3 Titan Heart, but one of them instead spent it on many LP2s. LP2 guy is more likely to end up with the better item.

I was able to build this in 2 days on a budget. (The LP1 Red Ring is a hand me down from my Mage).

Besides the other Red Ring and one of the idols. i didnt make a single purchase over 200k.

For most pieces, I bought cheapo gear and corrupted it until I got a good result. Still trying to get something better for Chest and Boots.

Yeah, it's pretty much tailored to the popular builds' needs. What I noticed is that "high risk slams" (rare 1LP/2LPs) that didn't brick sell in high volumes, compared to the +1LP counterpart without a corruption.

Vague answer - but just play the game with a very strict filter, so majority of items shown is usually worth selling.

Spamming Abberoth grants about 40-80k per kill in pure gold (with Extra gold blessing).

I personally pick up all uniques worth over 1k gold to sell to vendor.

If you mean a unique item that has all skills as an explicit modifier then yes, you go to modifiers I think it's called - choose all skills, let's say it's 1-2 so you search for bottom 2 top 2 and then if you want the item to have the all skills corrupt as well you can go to affixes - corrupted - all skills and mark it so the search has 2 conditions
