If it's not uploaded to online region, it'll only be saved on your device. Only way I can think of playing on the city other than uploading it to online is to manually copy the save file, but I'm not an expert on doing so

Even If there was a way to move save game files once a day and having them upload that could have an Impact on single player regions might get that going.

We use to use sim city 4 save files passed between players to get the "Multiplayer" feel and this game seem to have been the closes to that. Its a shame nothing was ever done or maybe can be done about It.

Hello, guys,

I recently decided to explore the game a bit and learned about online regions, so I've been hoarding coins to start a private region with a friend (only the two of us, and maybe allow other friends later if we feel like it). We're both newbies, so I'd like to know what may be a recommended region and subdivision size.

Since I haven't gotten past the tutorial, even though I've had the game for over 4 years, I don't know how steep the learning curve is, therefore I also find it a bit hard to determine an adequate "canvas" size for my little [and most likely chaotic] world.

The only games in the genre that I've played, or the most similar, are Caesar II and Pharaoh, but that was ages ago and I think their structure was quite different from TheoTown's, since I remember them being a bit more handholding and mission focused in comparison (build X amount of houses, collect Y amount of materials, build Z structure, etc.), so I feel a bit overwhelmed [and amazed] by the freedom and amount of content readily available from the start, and I'm not even taking plugins into account.

So, would it be ok to simply start a huge region with several divisions of varying sizes and move towards bigger plots as I/we play and learn? Are cities in a region somehow connected or is population their only shared characteristic?

Also, I'm not a fan of playing games in Easy Mode unless their standard intended difficulty proves to be too hard. I've noticed most online regions are built/played in Easy Mode; is this because the game is hard to progress in Normal difficulty or is it just a way to advance at a faster rate? I'm usually not in a hurry when I play games, so all I want is to chill as I see stuff evolve and I don't mind if I'll stay in stone age until a sequel comes out.

In terms of the gameplay goals it's what you make of it. There's aren't missions or anything (apart from DSA), most people either play for population or for pure design.

As for the region I'd say that wholy deeps on your intent! And the regions are only connected by being in the same region.

As for the modes none of them are terribly hard. Everything just tends to be cheaper and faster

I have the game on iOS; I got the game when it was still a paid app, dropped it when it went free-to-play (the diamonds system scared me off, as I hate consumable currencies in videogames; I would probably have been "featured" in the review_grudge room, ha ha, but for some reason I can't submit app reviews) and got back to it when I saw the diamonds store didn't show for me anymore, so I assumed I regained paid-user privileges and everything was cool again.

I've only downloaded plugins listed in the "official" section. If I come across any custom ones that catch my eye, most likely I'll make use of them; but, for now, baby steps first.

You can easily get 300 or 400 A day just by clicking ads while you do other stuff like watch YouTube etc. I downloaded 65 plugins in the last 2 or so days, and each one you have to watch an ad for, so it isn't that bad. Annoying sure, but doable.

It's a great game. Although it calls itself a logistics game, it plays like a city construction game. However, it has two shortcomings, one is that its mobile version is inconvenient to operate, and the other is that it actually has a slightly lower degree of freedom in urban construction.

Only you have access to your city, and the only person who COULD revoke your town ownership is the region owner...no one else can do anything to your city except look around and comment on it, unless you transfer the town ownership to them

It is listed in the region's rules whether if plugins and/or sandbox are enabled or disabled.

However, just by playing the game you do get region coins
