Personally I think depends on purpose of use, it can have many things. But for realistic city usage, prob stair is a useful one, and maybe realistic texture like stone or brick also with or without handle etc
but one drawback is this one cannot place in slope, which the castle wall plugin can do, so maybe stair in castle wall style could be more useful. Just personal thought*
