In general, if you’re going for a really realistic American city, there would be a bit more space between the airport and city, and loads of highways leading to that thing.

In terms of the land around it, the buildings you currently have there looks like some old Bronx or Brooklyn buildings. That’s probably fine since you can justify it with using LaGuardia as an example. But for an airport that large, don’t put any really large building too close to it since that would be illegal irl because of flight paths and zoning regulations
