i am happy with what i made do with right side
i turned the smol lake into a swimming area, added a high density high wealth residential that has hotel section, did put services around it, used a low density commercial to give the illusion that the hotel has a multi floor parking lot
and i gave the water pump, lake and police station its own respective parking lots

the decal i am using for terrain next to tunnels don't look great on corners of the hill
which is why this sort of intersection design works so well for it
now regarding express tunnels
i dunno what to tell you, they litterally stretch all the way to south and north neighbours without really being part of the traffic
while express tunnels is proably a less common practice irl

their whole idea is that they are much faster way to go to a place you wanna go much faster, however in exchange you need to pay for it and thus indirectly causing it to have little to no traffic compared to free highways and stuff

even though there isn't a neighbour connected to them yet
if you have a neighbour that is connected to other end of that tunnel then it 100% will model the traffic
