Regardless of how valid it was, which unfortunately it was, the inconsistency in reffing would be enough to make any blow up like that to the point they'd nearly forfeit.

He was good in his era, he played for AC Milan so we can't judge his ability by his pure goalscoring numbers because of the system and era he played in, other than that his trophy cabinet wasn't bad, lacked some finish and his national legacy lacked some silverware, his biggest factor was probably that he was the first one to change the perception of African footballers among Europeans and gave other African population that "ceiling" of best in the world when he won the Ballon D'or, which was kind of an assurance that African players can very well be the best in the sport, unless we can get a big overachiever from Africa that clearly needs to be mentioned in this list over Weah, he has a spot in it.
