Niedziela Cudów was interesting.
Question 342
Today is Pep Guardiola’s final game as manager of Manchester City. Across 10 years at the club, Pep led City to 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League triumph. It is heavily rumoured that Enzo Maresca will replace him. Do you think Maresca will be able to continue Pep’s legacy and dominance at Manchester City, or could the club decline under him? How do you see the transition from the Guardiola era to the Maresca era playing out for City?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Will be hard to replicate pep’s success
lowk hard to replace him
Maresca will never be able to replicate what pep has done or get close to it
Club will decline
he'll do well but shouldn't be compared to Pep
He’ll do well because he knows pep very well but not as good
Maresca is good but will not be better than Pep
They will compete, their squad is too good to not do that.
The absolute dominance they had over the Prem leaves with Pep though
Yeah but not on his first season maybe in his 2nd season he will start winning trophies but not the prem
Maybe in his 4th season or 5th he will start winning the prem
pep is irreplaceable
He will do a respectable job but simply no one can replicate what Peps done with Manchester City
He won't achieve the same but I think he will win some titles there
City will turn into Man united when they lost alex firgusen
No one can replace the goat Pep
Not really
Greatest manager of all time man
Maresca obv won’t match but he’ll do wel
No he will still be sucessful as city still managed to win the title before pep and because the squad pep left him with and the money
Bad
I don't think Marsesca will replace Guardiola well
So obvs bad
The beginning of the Arsenal vs Manchester United era again
he's a decent coach but if you compare him to an all-time great like pep, then yeah the club will "decline" because replicating that amount of glory is near impossible
bottle job
Pep was a successful manager under Man City. Maresca might depend because he is his own coach so things could go different in his way
Barcelona will buy igor Thiago and win laliga and copa del rey and super espana and ucl and both Madrid will go trophy less in 2027
Penalty merchant
I think pep will be better for man city becuase he had more experince and he won pl 4x in a row with the 2023 to 2025 team which was one of the best teams for man city, like look at the current team and 23 to 25 team, not saying the current team is better. Also pepe is just better cus he also managed and coached bayern and barca meaning he is better
Question 343
Now that all of Europe's top five leagues are over, what were your favourite moments from this season? Or were there any players or teams you'd like to highlight from the year?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Prem winner & relegation battle
Relegation battle
actually ligue 1 and bundesliga are not over 🤓
Olivia Rodrigo celebrating La Liga before Mbappe was the real highlight.
Sunderland getting europa league in their first season 👀
Pele
Its not for the top5 leagues but i was surprised by Bodø
Julian ryerson - most assist as a RB in the Bundesliga (15)
Felix nmecha - probably the most consistent Midfielder in the Bundesliga
Atubolo - Arguably the best Keeper in the Bundesliga rn
Harry Kane - the best striker this season with 50+ goals?
Favourite moments: every BVB game
Atubolu got picked apart by Villa
If you have anything to say #football-chat , this is #daily-question
It was in the UCL, Arsenal 3 - 1 Bayern was my most favourite moment where all 11 of the arsenal's starting 11 turned up for it.
and ofcourse us winning the league, finally getting over the line
My favourite moment of the season was our women's team getting promoted to the Eredivisie or Go Ahead Eagles beating Aston Villa 2-1
Trubin's goal
- Ligue 1 : Remontada Strasbourg 5-4 Monaco
Pitch invasion Nantes vs Toulouse and Nice vs La Havre
RC Lens going to the UCL
PFC beating PSG twice
Nice battling aganist relegation - Serie A : Milan and Juventus plays UEL
Fiorentina escaping relegation
Come plays first time UCL - Bundesliga: Wolfsburg battling aganist relegation, first Woman coaching in Union Berlin
- La Liga : EL Classico, Rashford won the league before Mbappe
- Premier League : Tottentham survives, Chelsea no european competition, Carrick and Amorim carrying the Manchester United to UCL, Sunderland UEL, Dowman scores,
Arsenal won the premier league, Salah, Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva, Stones last match
Thought we were winning the league after this one ffs
Madrid v man city first leg
Bruno G's late goal against Fulham at home
And Barnes' second goal against Man City at home
For La Liga, my favorite moments are the insane relegation battle at the last 3 matchdays in the season and Albacete upsetting Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey. In terms of teams, Getafe making it to the UECL and Espanyol's 18 game winless run in 2026 (and still survived the relegation battle). And finally with the players, shoutout to Carlos Romero being the best LB in La Liga (Vamos Espanyol!).
Carrickball
I’d like to highlight how shit Tottenham were

Going to my first Chelsea match and seeing us win 2:0 (Brentford at home).
Relegation battle of La Liga, promotion battle of Segunda
and Barça winning the Supercopa and La Liga
Hated this entire season
Elversberg making the Bundesliga while being a town that doesnt even have a train station and less than 7.500 people
Como UCL I think
Bodo glint
Como
And micheal carrick
Rio Ngumoha 100th minute winner away at St. James Park.
Chelsea 3-0 Barcelona
When's that game played
Barca were in qf Chelsea wasn't anywhere near lol
It happened in the league phase
And Chelsea were in the round of 16, right before the QF. So i think that is pretty near imo

That's not defeat then
It was like Barca won at the end 3-4
?
Aston Villa
I think our attack force really stood out obviously, with Diaz Kane and Olise. Kane in the playmaker role. As much as I've wrote negative about Upamecano he definitely stepped up his game this season when it came to important moments. The other thing I'll highlight is how an ineffective Gnabry really found himself again this season behind the striker, up until the injury. Revived his career almost. Hope to see him continue doing well.
teams stopping their trophy droughts and relegation battle
Sunderland getting Europe after getting back to the Prem

Question 346
Oliver Glasner yesterday led Crystal Palace F.C. to a Conference League title. Last year, he also guided Palace to their first-ever major trophy by winning the FA Cup. He previously won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt as well. With achievements like these throughout his career, and with him set to leave Crystal Palace soon, do you think he deserves an opportunity to coach an elite club or take over a strong project aiming for major trophies next?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Yes
100%
Absulotely
I think he deserves to manage a bigger club but not Real Madrid/Barcelona level
Bayer Leverkusen looks like a good club for him to manage after leaving Palace
He'd be a good Simeone replacement
Yes. Totally. Absolutely.
14 Days to go for the world cup #11-days-to-go message
sure why not
Borussia Dortmund should try to get him honestly.
hes
I’d say give him a shot and see what he can make out of it. But if he goes somewhere just below elite and continues doing well, it’s not going to hurt his career legacy at all
Villareal, and hold me on that
absolutely yes
yeah?
up the Imps
Why are you looking for Imps fans lol
I have a soft spot for Lincoln red imps and never really found anyone to speak to about Gibraltarian football
Gibraltars my favourite country in Europe
Wow thats great to hear
I might be the only gibraltarian person on Discord who's a member of the football channel and also an Imps fan
I remember when you once drew Bulgaria

Question 348
If you could hang out with any football personality for one whole day and talk all things football with them, who would you choose and why?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Cr7 like seriously yeah
balotelli
Pep
Haaland
Most people are just gonna pick Ronaldo or Messi
IM SORRY
Casillas
Neymar or hazard
Mikel Arteta
Shevchenko
Nice
Wait why are u like me?
Why would I theoretically pick someone over Ronaldo or Messi
Close to ban vote
lowk mbappe
Henry, he's a commentator and a former player, plus he seems nice
Kante
Cool
Why not someone from Colombia
Kim Min Jae
Zirkzee
Okay...
Good
BRO
Zlatan
Coz why not
Antony
The people reacting don't get it
Mikel would bring me footballing and leadership enlightenment like no one else (maybe Pep but I don't like bald people)
2017
Gavi
?
“i dont like bald people” 😭😭
Xqc, best goalkeeper 😎
Lamine. Just for the bants. He knows enough English and I know enough Spanish to understand each other.
Never seen an image of pep with hair
Do women footballers count btw?
wtf would yamal know about football bro 😭 compared to others greats
Aight well its ur opinion so
Aitana bonmati too
Yes
😁
Oh OK I didn't read the question properly mb
For football stuff, I'd pick Pep
Nah its all good bro
Yamal is valid regardless
Id ask him how it felt winning the euros at a young age
Henry
arteta if he counts
if not managers i would pick henry
Luis Enrique, Ousmane Dembélé or Kvicha Kvaratshkhelia
He will bore you out bro
Another one of my favourite is Grealish
In what universe is Pep Guardiola boring
Would be so easy to talk to
Sir Alex
kante
Myself
really wanna try talking to grealish
even henry
Micah Richards
Zlatan
Pep, Klopp or Mourinho
One of the 3
Actually
Alan Sheraer
Arteta was a footballer
❤️🩹
Haaland, seems like a pretty nice guy
Cr7
Wondolowski
luis enrique
Hansi Flick
probably Balotelli, because he's absolutely mental
Bruno Fernandes
olise
because WE are nonchalant
John Mcginn
W psg
W psg, mbappe was the real issue
He doesn't know anything about football except that he's better than anyone else
So it would be pointless to talk with him
Klopp and I would go to Disneyland together.
ronaldo, neymar, ronaldinho, haaland
Cantona, Sergio Ramos, Zlatan, Pepe
Cristiano, because I can ask for money
James Rodriguez or Kaká
Neymar
one of David Silva, Griezmann, Isco, or Dybala
olise seems chill
Question 349
Luis Enrique’s PSG have become just the second club since the European Cup was rebranded as the UEFA Champions League to successfully retain the trophy. How much does this achievement enhance the legacy of this PSG side, its management, and its players? Where do you think they rank among the greatest club teams of all time?
<@&1392052021108146207>
Eh they'd be Top 20
Uh no
Luis Enrique is def the greatest manager of all time
Same with pep
But if you had to pick one?
Pep
They're top 10 right now I think
Will be top 5 if they win a 3rd title
They're pretty good
they didnt impact that much, they really kept the same team like last year. This team is great though, and i think it might make top 10 best teams oat
if you mean eras then top 20-15 but the comeback with their history is top 10-15
Top 15~20
One of the most fun teams to watch for sure, but I think it will only go so far because of how weak the league is. They don't try in domestic games and get postponements for ucl knockout games. Would probably have them top 15 if they continue to do well in UCL these next few years but I really struggle to see them going much higher
call me crazy but ability wise I still think there are a couple sides that clear this PSG team
2015 Barca, 2018 Madrid, 2019 Liverpool, 2023 City, 2008 United, 2020 Bayern and maybe a couple more I've missed
they're def up there but not among the very very best
I feel like the competition today is a lot more open than it used to be
top 10
top 20 ig
Top 10.
Enrique best and greatest manager of all time, notably for psg
And it goes top 5 no doubt
1-Newcastle United
2-Real Madrid
3-Barcelona
4-PSG
Top 10
😎
Top ten
same ucls as nottingham forest
Top 15 ish

Woah
Why refs help the previous winner of ucl so much is the real question here
Hard to tell

Top 25
Biggest club in France for sure (Sorry Marseille). In terms of Europe these are the clubs I think are still bigger than PSG: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Manchester United, Liverpool, Ajax. You could argue Manchester City and Arsenal too but thats it.
PSG is def bigger than Chelsea and Atletico Madrid now. That's for sure
This current psg team is arguably better than msn
