I have some iron nuggets, but I don’t have enough to craft all the ingots to upgrade my axe.
The iron nugget description says they come from “rocks in patchi cave (patchi mountain) or in the mine), but I don’t think I have access to either of those locations - I can go to patchi mountain but there’s no indoor cave-like area, and I haven’t completed shirimotchi’s quest to open up the mine (because planks require hard wood which requires the iron axe I’m trying to craft)

So how do I even have any iron nuggets? Could they have been a quest reward at some point I didn’t notice? I wanted to clear out the hard wood log from my campsite before placing the tama house because I assume you can’t move it later

What’s the patchi cave, is it past the bodyguard who I assume requires me to have kutchipatchi as a party member? (Which I haven’t done because Kuchi wants me to have a house first, but I don’t want a house until I have an iron axe etc it’s just an infinite loop of tasks dependent on each other)

The mine is accessed by leaving your camp, going west on the road a bit past that event area, and going through a little trail and some steps NW of that clearing.

The patchi cave is accessed by going through a hollow log in the SE corner of patchi mountain, then going directly north - talk to sebiretchi

I love letterpatchi and travelpatchi a lot too. Originally I thought letterpatchi was a girl and travelpatchi a boy, then realized travelpatchi was a girl, so I thought they both were. Then I think letterpatchi was referenced with he/him pronounce but farther down their quest line travelpatchi was sometimes referred to as they. All in all! I didn't expect to be so sucked into a love line story but I'm so invested in these two. I love letterpatchis expressions and travelpatchis outfit. There's an official discord for adventure kingdom now and they have bug alerts and some general chatting stuff. I think they also asked who people are excited to see and I thought about you lobs bc of spacetchi

My headcanon is originally they don’t have a human gender binary, but for ease of conversation/translation they assimilate early 2000s understanding of sex and gender. Almost like a language mistranslation. Like how some languages can have gendered nouns for inanimate objects and others have no gendered pronouns at all, not even for people

I personally love how loose Bandai is with the lore of tamas. Like sometimes they swing between pets or little people, or very gender ambiguous to 50 lovelitchi clones. (no hate to lovelitchi, but I personally don’t need another white humanoid bunny like tama) and that probably lines up with a hard turn toward a young girl demographic. Like how the P’s is a feminine gems and bows design, while now the uni is more of an age group than a gender divide. What’s cool about them all is they always stick to being silly with it. Like they kept the hotdog ribbon from the anime. I loooved how silly that was.

Yeah it has some weird stuff there but no NPCs?? I can only assume maybe something will happen there in a future update. It currently isn’t useful for anything aside from there being a secret cave with a chest on the east end

And also there are some fish that only spawn there if you’re trying to collect all of them like I am

I beat all the quests already so I’m just trying to collect every item for fun now

OH I think you can also only get bananas in Tama Beach, you need those for a few recipes/quests

I think I'm halfway through getting the guruguru town characters in the wiki

New update just dropped that added a new NPC, made the day/night cycle longer, and most importantly— you can now craft items using your items in storage

Also squashed a few bugs and made certain items easier to get

Oh heck yeah! That's handy, the days seemed super short and it was kinda tedious getting things out of storage. Not sure it's enough to play again quite yet, but it's a good sign they're still working on it! You never know when game projects will get cancelled/lose their funding, but my fingers are SO crossed they add new areas to the map at some point

They definitely plan on it, I got a letter from the Gotchi King saying there are “inaccessible areas affected by geysers” and he “hopes you can get to them soon”

I got a letter from the King in this game that the Memetchi and gang should save other locations that are suffering with the Geyser problem. Are there more locations in this game that I haven't explored yet?

I already explored Tama Camp, Patchi Town/Forest/Lake, Central Road, Cowtchis West Road, North Road, Guruguru Park, Windmills West Road, Tama Beach, Tama Town, Gotchi King Castle, South Road, Quiet Lake, and Tama Street.

There’s nothing past Tama Street YET, I think the letter is more of a teaser that more areas will come soon. There’s currently some inaccessible areas like Mame City & Antique Town that we’re bound to be able to visit in a future update!

I've been too busy to work on The List or adding any portraits to the game's character page, but it'd be good to find out if she was a preexisting NPC for when I'm able to get back to that stuff

I'm so excited to see how many updates Adventure Kingdom is gonna get, it's already got an insane number of characters in it and that number is just gonna get bigger

I am going to explode if they add Uratama Town, Makakka Town or one of the vintage locations at some point

The new NPC is Balloongurutchi in Guruguru Park, Communitchi is also a new character but currently does not show up within the game, she’s just a character that shares game updates on social media & discord

• ||morikamitchi as far as im aware shows up when you interact(?) with the campfire in patchi mountain, the chibipatchis appear in the little area with kuchipatchi's house (outside before papapatchi's quest and inside the house after it) and are part of a quest given by papapatchi, tamastetchi is in tama street near the road between the street and tamax-tv, she gives you the main quests for tamastreet like how benripatchi, guruparktchi and ms gorippa do for their respective areas|| spoilered just in case

I would describe it as a game where you go on quests to solve problems for tamagotchi characters, and in the process you must explore, craft, gather resources, and talk to many silly little tamas and learn their little stories. If you like doing quests and collect-a-thons and some light customization (you can decorate your campground and your house, animal crossing new horizons style), with minimal narrative but LOTS of fun, cute, and quirky characters, I highly recommend it! I definitely plan to return for another month of apple arcade after a few more updates

It's interesting because it feels almost like it was designed around mobile mechanics that usually are attached to microtransactions and other predatory game design things, but without those perverse incentives the core loop becomes enjoyable and chill instead of annoying and addictive.

Which only makes me wish more cute mobile games had options to pay a flat fee to turn off ads and microtransactions! I can't handle those things so I mostly just don't play mobile games at all.
