Yeah story wise it was just like
"oh no, the bad guy really dislikes what you've done, he's closing off the streets and deploying helicopters"
and suddenly every fight you get into is a full scale war

I absolutely loved the AC games though, especially odyssey

where there was effective stealth mechanics so you could thin the enemies before you're caught

and then had suitable skills to handle them

yeah understandable, for whatever reason I really enjoyed it though, ended up 100%ing all the quests/side quests on game + DLCs

meanwhile valhalla didn' even get through the full story before getting bored

yeah I've heard valhalla turns it up to 11 with grind

I didn't find the grind particularly bad, but they really dropped the ball on the skills compared to odyssey

If you only continued the story as the levels suggested then the grind would be bad

but you could get away with most stuff underlevelled if you specced your skills right
