I run current patch, my route is different than downpatch after follower duplication because I want to get better weapons.
I go for a sermon after bonefire ritual, then after follower duplication I go DW4, A1, indoctrinate 1 to get 8 followers, sermon for better weapons, get omnipresence, then I go for midas and golden fleece.
So I start SC1 with 4 followers, one being hungry because of A1.

So, there are some guaranteed weapon/curses, right? I believe all of these are accurate.
DW1 - Sword

DW3 - Dagger + Touch of Turua
SC1 - Gauntlets + Ichor Thrown

I think that the guarantee order for weapon can change the first time you get bane weapons. If there is a weapon we want to avoid, it may make sense to strategically do a sermon to skip it, but it might be slower than just recalling.

So, I've been doing:
before GFleece, indoctrinate all followers, do a sermon, unlock bane weapons, continue as nomal.
Before SC1, buy from Helob. When I can indoctrinate up to 8 to unlock weapon upgrades in SC, I do. Depending on RNG, this is usually before SC3. This also gives me a total of 6 cultists after I kill two in SC3. I go through AD, having all 6 get sick, then indoctrinate 1 more before AN1

I got 1:52:14 (no load) with no glitches or route yesterday, but that could be off by up to 10 minutes cause of a mistake I made with the timer 😅
