Livesplit Changelog:

  • Timer starts on first frame of the first quote screen.
  • Default end time moved to moment where player accepts to kneel before the final boss.
  • Loading screens with red crown icon will pause timer.
  • Room transitions, quote screens and title video won't pause timer anymore.

You should restart LiveSplit and probably need to Deactivate and Activate ASL again from "Splits Editor" window, then check Settings:

  • "End credits begins" should be turned off.
  • "Kneel before The One Who Waits" should be turned on.
    PS. You also may use "Reset to Default" in Settings window to reset settings to default ASL state.

Hey all, recently we seperated runs into Any% and NMG, but due to speedrun.com being iffy, the runs can't be seen. if you're run has be accepted. please tell us in the forum and we'll put it in the appropriate category.

I'd like to reiterate that the leaderboards are owned by the community. As such, I feel like it would be a good idea to post this poll to see if the community wants to rely on GLCoder's auto retimer. To note, we will still manually retime top 10 (or whatever number the community decides on) runs so that there aren't errors in what could be World Record differences.

PROS to using the retimer:
Significantly faster turnaround on retiming & verification.
If we decide on changing what to time (...again) we could possibly edit the retimer and do it that way if need be

CONS to using the retimer:
The timer isn't perfectly accurate. We have seen up to 10s in error, though some are as low as .8s

Heyo!
We decided to change the name of Any% Any% to Any% Unrestricted to both make it clear what it is vs NMG and because it sounded weird.

Beyond that, we've also decided to require any future runs to have the red crown loading icon to be visible (in the bottom left corner). This isn't a common issue, but when it does happen it makes retiming it much more difficult, complicated, and inaccurate. We don't want to invalidate any already submitted runs which is why this is only for future runs.

Hey there,

I've cleared up some rules on speedrun.com to make them easier to understand.

I've also worked on 100% rules, and added a 100% relevant glitch which is forbidden in NMG.
Note that the timing ends upon defeating TOWW, after collecting everything else. The only 100% run we have will stay for now.

It would be great if we could get some 100% runs in!

Hi,

I've disabled Unrestricted/NMG distinction for Misc. categories, and I've structured the Misc. categories to speedrun.com standard, now they are actually hidden on profiles when choosing to hide Misc. runs for example.

Also as a note: our script for retiming runs automatically requires videos to be recorded at an integer fps (30, 60, any whole number). If you record on 29.97 fps for example it will not work with our current script, so we have to retime manually, which takes longer for us and for you. So please consider changing your recording settings fps to a whole integer.

hearts% (give ratoo the heart demon): pro +neat objective +some cult management + devotion farming to unlock 6 shrine nodes after temple +can use known glitches to gain advantage (buy devotion at midas) contra -random heart room (i think it's most likely to show up in Anura 3) -you only find out in the end if any of your followers can transform into a heart demon run length (if successful): ~30 min

Hi!

To make 100%, bishops% and neo-100% categories more enjoyable, a break rule has been added. Now we may take maximum of 30 minute breaks in a run, every two hours. The break(s) shall be deducted from the final LTR time. Here are the break rules:

  • Runner can take a break of maximum of 30 minutes every 2 hours of a continuous run. These breaks can be deducted from final LTR time.
    -- Example: If a break is taken in a two hour mark and 30 minute break is taken, next break can be taken in 4 hour 30 minute mark or later (4 hours ran, 30 minutes on break)
  • Runner may decide after the two hour mark when the break is to be taken.
    -- Example: If a break is taken in a three hour mark and 30 minute break is taken, next break can be taken in 5 hour 30 minute mark or later (5 hours ran, 30 minutes on break)
  • Game must be paused while break is going on.
  • Timer must run while on break. (Final time is deducted from LTR afterwards)
  • Break starts on game pause and ends on unpausing the game or 30 minute part, which ever comes first
  • Mark all breaks' timestamps (start and end times) in a run's notes in speedrun.com

Hope this will help you have more enjoyment with longer categories!

We officially have a mad lad in our community, a fellow named Ironworld. I have just verified his Neo-100% run with time 11:45:35. His run lasted over 13 hours no loads/breaks removed.

Thus I have raised Neo-100% from misc to a proper category. I left it there kind of as a joke or as a thing no-one would really want to do, but this mad lad proved me wrong.

Gz Ironworld for your WR! (sorry the verification process took this long)

Hi!
There has been some requests to change break rules on longer runs. Currently there is a permited 30 minute break every 2 hours of run time.

Suggested would lower those to 15 minutes for every hour.

Vote with reactions:
2️⃣ Keep 30 mins per 2 hours
3️⃣ Change to 15 mins per 1 hour

We shall vote about a week. Vote ends at Christmas eve

Hello,
I have updated the boards and rules to more reflect the current status of the game.

Added:

  • 1.3.0+ label for new runs and updated 1.2.0+ label to 1.2.0 - 1.2.7
  • Added Super-Neo-100% for the sins update
  • Added a rule about using unlimited HP/Fervor. Using the unlimited HP/Fervor is not allowed unless category rules state otherwise. I might add a category for these runs later. Something like "UNLIMITED POWAAAR any%" etc.
  • Updated the break rule from 30 mins per 2 hours to 15 mins per 1 hour as we voted.

I'm thinking of merging quick start and penitence runs under one subcategory to keep boards more tidy. QS categories are very empty compared to Penitence ones and are used for the same effect. Any thoughts? You may discuss this under #💨・speedrunning

I'll be running CotL any% unrestricted easy at DreamHack Melbourne 2024 next month! The run will be on <t:1714209300> (subject to change, I'll keep you posted).
It's looking to be a killer weekend filled with incredible runs all over and even featuring an Interactive Speedrunning Stage for DreamHack attendees to learn some cool runs and tricks from some of Australia's finest and fastest!

Yo! I have now adjusted the boards to reflect the new patch. Now with solo and co-op categories, GOATED-Super-Neo-100% category (with co-op allowed) and new 1.4.0 label. Enjoy!

Apparently there is a new accessibility setting for forced weapon spawn. Do we:

✅ Allow it for all categories
❌ Disallow it
☑️ Allow as a separate category with all accessibility features allowed (like unlimited HP/Fervor)

I'll check the results in about a week's time.
