See, I tried this route once:

• Indocrinate 3 followers after Leshy
• A 1, one follower gets hungry
• AD 1 and 2, two followers get sick
• A 2, choose bow
• Shamura
• Kallamar
• Heket

I thought it was a 5head route because it would skip almost all the mob wave fights

But Shamura only summons healthy followers to fight you on SC 1 and 3

So we would skip A1 A2 AD1 AD2 fights, but would get longer fights in SC 1 and 3

And also when I ran this route I had horrible rng

So I can't say if it could potencialy save us a couple of seconds or it just sucks

Ive been through the depot downpatch stuff with Hollow Knight and it definitely turns people away.

For people who wanted to do savestates. This is a small tutorial for it until we get a save file manager made (idk who or when will be able to do it)
When you've made a save ingame, exit the game and locate ur save files folder for CotL
Should be something like "C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Massive Monster\Cult Of The Lamb\saves
Slot_0 is the first save file
Slot_1 is the second and 2 is the third

Copy the savestate u want and drag it into a new folder wherever u want, call it whatever u need it be.
Now when u want to load it up again, simply name it Slot_1 if u want it to be in the second slot, and it should be ready to load up ingame

Would it be possible for Massive Monster to put patch 1.0.11 as a beta for speedrunners to use without us having to deal with an external program to downpatch the game.

This has been done by a ton of devs in a ton of games and it would be a massive boost to make getting into running more accessible for new runners.

Instead of +10% per kill it's +5%, yes there is no cap but that's now 40 kills to even get to 200, which was the cap. And in Easy I don't think you even get that close

yep, each kill grants you only +5%, but you can higher than 200% multiplier, I guess with a plenty of enemies, without being hit, you can go as high as 400-500% on final boss

it's a lot, not broken as it is, but speeds down the whole process anyway

you lose so much time on silk cradle enemies that tank 5 hits

you only need 5 seconds for boss instead of 10 seconds with 200% cap

but you lose like a full minute in the build up

You can’t get cards in dungeons if you use white fleece. If theres a card spot on the map, like when you select the next section, you can get an extra card. Additionally it seems like what would normally be a card room is replaced with a combat room so you end up wasting more time with dead ends.

I think you should go DW4 before AD1 because after completing your 4th crusade you get the cutscene where TOWW teaches you sacrifice of flesh, but by defeating Leshy you get a diferent cutscene first and then you can omnipresence out of the next dungeons to skip this sacrifice of flesh cutscene

First run. Pretty meh. I may have reset too many runs and that cost me a bunch of time. (I was resetting on claws, dagger, and hammer.) I died twice to one of the mini bosses which cost me like 8 minutes as well. I also need to do better at keeping track of my followers because I ended at 33 so I couldve done a few things different.

I need to watch more runs to get a better idea of how we do runs. Do we just ignore everything aside from weapon/spell swaps if we have bad ones? I took tarot cards in SC because I was very underpowered (also did enough sermons to get increased power weapons) but Im unsure if I should grab them or not.

Like, we just assume Golden Fleece will be fine for damage and ignore everything else?

There's a route in the making that gets an upgrade to weapon damage specifically to make SC more consistent

but yeah, if you downpatch SC is just "play very well" and you do fine

and optimally you wouldn't do any switches, but if you see Hounds of Fate or if you have a dagger, it might be worth it

Heket is supposed to make one of your followers hungry in A1, but If you have no healthy followers a fight will trigger. The same happens in A3, AD1, AD2, SC1 and SC3.
After beating Kallamar there's a chance the first follower he made sick in AD1 is already cured, so when you go to A1 on the original route the hunger cutscene will trigger instead of triggering the fight, but the first fight in A1 ends quicker then the second one in A3.
And that's why I go A1 before killing Kallamar, so when I go A3 after beating him, Heket will make one follower hungry instead of triggering a fight

That saves like 5 to 10 seconds

Okay. I just had a lot of weird stuff happen in a run.

So, I was exiting the conversation with Ratau after cooking for the first time and I immediately interacted with a follower before the camera panned to open up to the next location. From doing that, I was able to roll and move rather than be frozen. I ended up exiting the area very fast.

During the boss fight, I dodged at the exact time before the slow down and the dodge tutorial popped up, but I was able to move as normal?

And then when I got back to the area, I was softlocked with the camera stuck at the teleportation circle

The first part is known, it's used to get to the caves faster

the second part just seems like a buggity bug

the way we currently do a small skip is to make lambert walk a super long time to ratau, which lets you go through his dialogue. It then does the 'lower the gate' cutscene, but while that's going on you get to lambert and it releases you so you can move during it

and it doesn't softlock
