gunshots can be heard across the entire map (save like subsonic/silent ammo), people can hear when you're on mud vs wood vs metal vs brick vs glass vs water

people can hear sound traps like ducks/dogs/cows/chickens from a bit over a compound away if you trip them

once you get more experianced being able to identify a long rifle vs shotgun vs pistol can also help

Only real issue is verticality in some compounds

basically sound can let you determine where others are with surprising accuracy and thus they can do the same to you so keep in it mind

Just dont trigger crows/ducks. The rest dont make that much sound but crows you can hear all over the map and you can see them fly away

Blast sense helps a lot if you are new

you'll want headphones for that reason btw to track other sounds if you can do so

the game has skill based matchmaking though so you won't be going against god players as a new person which gives you plenty of time to learn

When you start out unless you play solo you will get your position away by your teammates anyway, just reduce your own sound signature as much as you can

Just dont corner yourself into 1 style since you can kill anyone with 1 headshot. Sometimes its good to push as a sniper or peak with a pistol at medium range if its the last dude left

Same af. I rarely run spear I still think throwing axes are the best of both worlds.

Very hard to find water bottles and they are kinda useless because of that. Good to snuff out lantern above dogs/chicken tho

a good one to know too, almost every boss enters an enraged state after losing 25%-ish of health since the last enrage, so they freak out, take less damage, and attack a lot more aggressively

so during those points you want to dodge the boss or get out of the building they're in and let them calm down like 20 seconds later or whatever the timer is

meleee is also really good against most bosses
