@vale relic imo the biggest issue with quartermaster is that, as long as it's a popular and good choice within the game, you can't safely strategize around people's weapon choices and play around their downsides e.g. trying to fight a rifle at close range by pushing. It incentivizes people to play more passively imo, because you can't try to engage with someone strategically based on their weapon so the better option is to just let them move first.

so a fix would need to address that.

Yeah, after a few hours, I'm rather indifferent to the 2nd death. Maybe there's an argument to be made that after making so much noise, I should have been far more careful and ALWAYS juggle my hitbox to avoid such headshots, but I guess I just did not expect 5 people from 3 different teams to spawn in the bottom right corner of the map, but that just happens. The first one still got me rattled and I would love to see it addressed at some point, as in, rats from 80+ meters away not being able to play like that.

it's possible for someone to be a full star rating lower than you but only one actual point lower in MMR

you are given a certain base amount of points, then you are awarded points for "wins" (people you kill) and deducted points for "losses" (being killed)

the points awarded/lost are modified by the relative gap between you and them

so killing someone lower rank than you gives you fewer points

beign killed by someone higher rank than you deducts fewer points

killing someone of higher rank gives you more points, etc

yes, it's just kills/being killed, nothing else. not kda, not extractions, not loadout, etc

the matchmaking system is based on something used for chess tournaments which goes by wins/losses. which works great for chess!

if populations are low, it will lower its standards

to keep matchmaking time reasonble

basically if you're playing at an odd hour in like, New Zealand, you're probably getting everyone in the same pool just to fill the lobby at all

Hm, two weeks in a row now that the Random Item twitch drop reward doesn't give anything when it's supposed to give a blood bond item.
I even made sure to grab all my supply crates first, load up the game to collect them, quit the game, redeem the random item alone, then load up. No pop ups or anything.

Maybe I did get a new skin and it just didn't pop up. Hopefully it's that 😅
