Yeah most boss compounds had lots of sightlines longer than shotgun range, even inside the boss room itself. Slugs change that a lot.

You can try to rotate and push but if you were both on a different metal roof, it means crossing pretty open ground without great cover. Frags are super deadly when tossed from high ground. It'd be easier to push if they could leverage some damage by peeking first but again, no good ways to peek.
I've been thinking about that on the last few weeks.

Shotguns, on average, could one shot kill to 10m. 10m is very short, and can't cover much of the boss rooms. Crossbow could, but crossbow doesn't have ammo capacity like slugs do.
Every time you decide to peek from a window or a hole you are risking something, but waiting inside doing nothing is not the solution imo
I'm just saying, Bradley lacks options. Few angles, little wall bang potential. Not saying they were right to clam up inside, nor were the attackers right to hold up on metal roofs and never push. it's a compound that doesn't provide great play IMO.
Peeking is always a risk but when you have few angles to peek from, it becomes an even greater risk because it's predictable.

As an aside, I do find Bradley is best attacked by being aggressive because if you can get on their roof, it gives you a lot of options.

Again, he was sitting static on a rooftop not doing anything himself. Bradley has bad peeking angles toward those rooftops, very limited and predictable options. Sitting on a metal roof for 20 minutes waiting for the other team to do something is just as lame.

Absolutely, I agree. As I said, I think it's a compound issue. People don't want to push out, others don't want to push in. Some compounds used to be fine, but the threat range of slugs had shifted the dynamic even more.
People used to just not push up to the boss room itself, now they're more likely to hang outside the fence line because slugs have a threat range that basically covers the whole compound.
I think that if you are outside and try to shot and throw stuff and after that the guys inside are still doing nothing then the only thing to do is waiting outside

The difference between Freddie and the guys inside is that Freddie at least did something, the guys inside did literally nothing.

Again, you can leave any time. If you value your loadout so much that you won't push a boss room, you can also just decide to leave and take another match. IMO both teams in this, regardless of their loadout, bear some of the responsibility for not making things happen, and it's the compound that discourages making moves even more.
Yeah cause now there are slot of thinks that can ohk, so if you are playing with "normal" guns you are forced to stay more away than before if you don't want to get random one tapped
It's not about valuing the loadout, it's about the fact that nobody wants to lose like an idiot. I take risks, but risking that much is just stupid and not funny.
At the same time, we have like, 70m nitro one taps to worry about too. If a compound has few angles for pushing or peeking, that can be really scary. They don't even need the headshot.
At least with the normal nitro ammo the one tap range is kinda awkward for the sight.

Again, I'd hesitate to call either one camping or playing fair. Both staying far away and taking pot shots and clamming up inside a boss room result in low engagement playstyles.

On bad compounds, yes. Which again I stress this is partly a compound problem.
But, for my opinion, inside campers are the biggest problems, and almost always is the team inside who can do something to unlock the fight
Hunt doesn't dictate how to play, it's just players who dislike the way others play the game. But ultimately, as long as you successfully extract with the bounty (and don't violate any rules), everything is fine.

If you're so scared of pushing boss rooms because they might have a shotgun, you can also bring a shotgun. If they can't push out into a team of snipers because they brought a shotgun, they could also bring a rifle. It's not entirely one sides fault.
Cause this forces other people to not play or die pushing inside on 50 traps. (Or leave and leaving is not fun, is a waste of time)

Yeah, generally I think teams that do not plan for as many fights as possible are at fault. If everyone just takes long ammo rifles without so much as a bayonet and you end up at a disadvantage having to push close spaces, that's just poor planning on your part.

Which includes being able to challenge a shotgun.

I'll agree slugs have made pushing rooms harder because you can hold longer, more dangerous angles. Crossbow could always do this but has its own downsides, so it never felt like a huge problem.
Not every member of a team has do be able to do this. When playing trios, we usually have two guys with rifles for medium/long range and one with a shotgun or some other short-range main weapon.
At least take a revolver with fanning or something to cover close ranges.
And we also go in with the expectations that the person can aim.
Not like a 3star i punched to death with medkit when he had a rival.

It's probably easier to cover longer ranges than to cover short ones.
Even with winfield you can Headshot people at 60+m range while they're moving. Without HV it can be trickier.
But unless you have a shotgun, you're not killing a shotgun player, unless he majorly fucks up.
Don't think i've ever died to someone with fanning/nagant officer, unless i whiff my shot so badly. Usually i die to someone at 20+m

You have to run from the other bosses during their entire Frenzy state. Most of the time the Assassin is just whooshing around and "blinding" people. He attacks only once at the end of its frenzy. It is awfully long and boring, you can just stand inside the lair and outrun his final attack (or just tank it). Proposal: He should instantly attack you after you get blinded by his clone.

Sooner attack sounds good yes. I agree with that, but as long as you stay inside it's as short as possible, going outside makes it terribly long

If one player is affected by the crawling bugs of an exploded clone you can't interrupt his attacks anymore, so you're stuck with tanking a hit or running away, just like all the toehr bosses frenzy
He does attack you once at the End of his Frenzy and that attack is uninterruptable . That is not comparable to the other bosses Frenzy Modes. I dont know what you mean in your first sentence.
during the assassins frenzy mode he creates 2 clones - which if not killed explode near you and cover your screen in crawling bugs
If a player in the boss lair is hit by this attack - the assassin will stop creating clones and attack. And this attack is uninterruptable as long as the player affected by the crawling bugs from the exploded clone is inside the boss lair
As for the frenzy of the assassin - in lethality it's not comparable to butcher or spider - but it still serves the purpose of a frenzy mode for the most part - which is increasing the time it takes to kill the boss by adding a period if hig dmg resistance every 25% of health
If it needs a change - i'd remove the ability to stunlock the assassin with an axe and stam shot.
The thing that’s dumb about this attack tho is that sometimes the assassin spams his clone ability

While I´m not entirely sure if the Frenzy works like you said, we can agree that the Assassin in general is not as lethal as the other Bosses. I´d like to change that, firstly because "not lethal" in a game like hunt seems pretty odd and boring and secondly I´d like it to be in line with the Assassins description in the Lore (as a deadly Assassin). But making him to hard would discourage people from killing him, which is why I thought of changing the Frenzy mode. Buffing other parts of him would also work, but that with the Stunlock may be a little too less.
Also, unrelated. But there really needs to be kind of a rework as a whole to Shotguns, Slugs, and the relationship between the two. Because standard buckshot is pretty pathetic, while slugs arguably make shotguns into budget, repeating nitros. Which sucks because it makes them unfun to play with/against.
i just find it weird that the only long ammo gun that is American is just the sparks
feels like they're scared of U.S copyright infringement laws or something, cuz its only been till recently that we've been getting American guns. And even then, some of them have had their names changed eventhough it is perfectly fine to use (ie the Scottfield), with the game even still coding in their actual names as you can just search "Schofield" in the search bar and it will work, as if they changed the name last minute.

Its called copyright. And the sparks isn't the only weapon in Hunt that is named different from its real world counterpart.
I doubt Spencer was gonna come after anyone for that gun but they still renamed it Specter. It is funny how some guns keep their names and others don't though.

National armories and individual armaments produced by governments aren't copyrighted for some reason. It's why weapons like the Springfield, Lebel, and Mosin have their real names. But weapons made by private companies or individuals had to be changed. Bergmann to Bornhiem. Sharps to Sparks. And so on.
Or why you'll never actually see a "Glock" in a video game. Closest you'll ever get is "G-something". Because Glock is super protective of their name and properties.

For Veterans, likely they can predict if this is a boring or exciting match. I hope many shares the sentiments of this being a boring one, and Developers will take note. Gunfight at mid-west edge of the map. for our team, this is an AI killing game. predictable stuff. Hunt doesn't reveal where the hunters are in a game, but I played long enough. I played with US servers, compared to Asia, the gunfight is much more alive there. It's not so difficult to guess. 12 players of 4 teams. 1 of the team is coward, and happens to meet the boss with an exit right beside it. How many Hunter teams are left? ~ idiom

What do I miss here? You banished the small bounty just move on to the big bounty or just to the shots you heard . When you want to run off with the small bounty without pvp that's up to you
60fps is the bare minimum for a fps game and I highly doubt it considered how bad Hunt is optimised especially past patch 1.7

I mean a 4c APU with shared RAM don't sound promising but that all depends what you expect . Will it run Hunt? sure . Will it be playable compared to a decent rig? I highly doubt it . But when you want the Hunt Console experience the steam deck might be the way to go

My main rig is a 5900x CPU with a Red devil 6800xt GPU. For the deck I would make a new steam account just for the steam deck so not to mess with my stats on my main rig.

i think a matchmaking or a game mode that will split AI hunters to Player hunters will be the best. Btw, US random matches don't do this. They also kill each other. No bloody shotgun hiding behind a door for like 40 minutes. and players kill each other even with bounties. unfortunately, the latency is to slow

Makes me wonder can the APU be ovefclocked and yes can you hook up a Single stage to it . the back draw would be you would have to play with severe frost bite on your fungers but if overclockable you could maybee get something like 70-80 fps out of it
AI hunters. Hunters that play Hunt to Kill AI Boss and exit. Why don't they just play RE instead? I just had one game now, we got the first bounty. We are moving in their position to fight and they went to the exit opposite us and escape with their bounty. its was a 6 player game with a very huge map. For all I know, they will play another round. So why not Crytek makes a server with what we have now, and a separate one who wants to play this to the death. I have 2000 BOss kills. Please

I have been playing Hunt for over a year now and it is my go to PvP challenge. One reason I play hunt over other games (like rust) is because it has great west coast servers that give me crisp clean low latency gunfights... (I don't get disconnected either) How do I square MY experience with the fact that players seem to be yelling their heads off about the bad quality of the hunt server machines? What is it that explains this? Anyone want to take a shot? something HAS to be the cause of the complaints... What do you think it is?

I have basically the same experience. Overall nothing bad about so called ping or lag related issues.
Only thing I experience are gameplay bugs that everyone else has.
Don't have fps issues either and my ping is chill on West and decent on Russia
I can relate to frustrating gameplay and getting cheated by desync or getting stuck on terrain by it costing you a life, but disconnects? None other than a crash once in a thousand games.
I have no issues running the game but I have friends whos machines are as good as mine or better and they have so many issues with the way the game runs
Same with me & my 3 friends. We have 0 issues, besides the occasional bugs & desyncs. No fps drops, no lagg.
Only time i ever had major lagg it was cause of my own ISP.
And they have equal or worse pcs than mine.

there are way more things you can do with reshade
like, you're free to use it if you want, just like you're technically free to use aimbots. you just can't really complain if you get banned for it.

Been playing for a few hundred hours on PC/PS4 and the best piece of advice I can give is that you can overcome all of the best perks and weapons with free characters and lower tier weapons by just investing time to see what your fav play style is. Grind out some quick play or use cheaper weapons of certain types (bolts, levers, shotguns, etc.) with friends to get used to different ways to play. Gunplay is the end-all for Hunt. Perks make some things easier, but getting used to rotations and when to/not to push enemies after hitting them will always be much much better. Don’t even give them time to use their stuff.
Honestly if this game is going to keep being stale and stagnating on progress, I'll just find another game. Not all games are for everyone.
Thats fair. Hunt is definitely my favorite FPS at the moment because of the gunplay and tactics used. They have added a lot more content in the past year with events/maps/weapons than they did in years past, and it’s helped keep me invested. But even without all that, I enjoy the hell out of the game, even solo. But like you said, not all games are for everyone. Definitely recommend being patient if you intend on continuing to play. It took me quite a bit over 45 hours to find the weapons and play style I like best. And I believe Hunt is versatile enough for everyone to find something they enjoy in it.

To be fair it does make the lemat 10x more reliable to put the invader down when you're in a scrape
I'd say the same about penny shot if that ever gets added to the lemat. Can't make the spread wider than it already is. And even when facetaking at 2 meters the lemat in buckshot can let you down.
I think penny shot at least makes the kill 5x more likely because of the sheer damage of penny shot

Penny shot is just as much kill or bust. But you need to hit less pellets to kill em. Even grazes at that distance with penny shot will absolutely hurt.

I've had plenty of good experience with shotguns because I'm not gambling 15m range shots. When I shotgun someone... its close enough that any type other than the handcannon would do the job.
To share my opinion on slugs... I don't like their current itteration. Not one bit.
Yes they are strong, but there's no give and take. It's take is literally... no ads no power.
Shotguns in general are in a weird spot for me, considering that I rarely get killed by them anymore

I find the crossbow and bow to be more powerful at this point for close range engagements

I'm usually the one shotgunning and besides fighting a crossbow or bow... I have no qualms fighting a slug up close.
But thats mostly because I've found that people with a crossbow play more quiet and silent than shotguns.
So whenever I roll in with my shotgun at a measured pace I get nervous that there's a crossbow waiting around the corner.
Where people with shotguns are running fast and throw caution to the wind when turning a corner at Mach 3.
Probably been playing too much rainbow 6 siege and just holding the corner with my shotgun the moment I hear a shotgunner running at me blaring gotta go fast.
What about Crossbow players that breach corners at Mach 3?

But back to the centennial. I really like one of the suggestions on this channel involving a new long ammo pistol, the uppercut and the centennial
2nd long ammo pistol would be dope
well there's 2 suggestions I try to combine.
- Swap the centennial damage with the uppercut damage. That allows the centennial to be more dangerous to downed hunters. Its slow cycle rate makes 2 taps against enemies at 125 difficult because they are often in a do or die mindset anyways and will unlikely duck away from the follow up and will just try to outshoot you with rof.
this also nerfs the uppercut I know, but it's still long ammo will still pen like crazy and keep good damage at range for shotgun back up firearms.
the second one involves the new pistol
2. Add a single shot long ammo pistol with 1 + 9 ammo pool and nerf the uppercut ammo pool to 6 + 6, but keeps its damage. This way you can still stack long ammo on your lebel, but doesn't make ammo on your mosin even more ridiculous to resupply. Uppercut still a decent back up for shotgunners, but less good for mosin/ lebel users.
Combining the two would look like this: Long ammo pistol has higher damage (around 137), Uppercut swaps with cent (so 123?), but ammo stays the same for the uppercut.
Want more oompf in your side arm? take the singelshot. Want a reliable fallback? pick the uppercut, but dont expect to cheapshot 125 hp hunters through a wall. Use your rifle or shotgun my gamer...
Centennial becomes powerfull, with medium ammo downsides.

I don't think the feedback section was ever intended to be an exciting read, its there for people to feedback whats going well and whats not, and right now the servers are certainly the no. 1 example of whats not going well, hence people complaining about them.
So you can choose from: bad hit registration, fps drops in compounds, menu bugs, desync, reconnect bugs, crosshair bug, banish percentage bug, change special ammo bug, texture missing/crytek ingame wallhack for free bug, Immolator unable to hit bug, and other bugs that are in game for years now 🙂 There isn´t section in this game that working properly but fixed servers are No.1 in FPS game
Yeah obvs it's not meant to be entertaining but it usually still is. Mainly because a lot of issues spark a lot of discussion, like the Cain debate recently. But the server thing pretty much everyone agrees on, which is good for the community but bad for someone just looking for people arguing.

I feel the uppercut is protected from nerfs cos its a "skill" weapon. They are always protected by high skill players. when i make gun build its hard not to include the uppercut. its so damn good at so much
no 3 slot rifle/shotgun weapon dwarfs the rest compared to how the uppercut does to pistol class

To me it feels cumbersome. Speedy bullet yes, but sound and cycle speed compared to the damage feels off. It feels like a heavy weapon. Some might say it sounds like a small cannon you're firing, but when you hit something 50 to 60 meters out it feels... well... flat.

Mv doesn't translate to damage range though. I don't mind it being a zippy bullet with low damage, but make it not feel like a 140 damage bullet being cycled with each shot

Ammo type translates to damage though and that's where the cent is having a drawback. It has speed of long ammo, but not the damage retention over range because of medium type ammo

I do agree FMJ on the cent makes it a springfield with magazine capacity, which makes body shot damage still feel respectable. It's basically my go to whenever I am stuck with akimbo trait and want to run centennial
run double scott fmj + cent fmj
and just body tap things with springfield bullets. It's good, but I'm no headclicker so I generally go for the body and then the damage feels flat on regular ammo.
Besides the massive hit on bullet velocity

but the single incendiary still feel too useless to me

one thing i learned before starting this game is incendiary ammo is useless in PVP .
ideally, i'd suggest to remove all special ammo anyway... but that ship has sailed im afraid

No one uses fire rounds for long but fire rounds do work for shotguns (mainly to annoy or cause panic) and compact weapons for long range fights where it takes 3+ shots to kill someone

All you need is a knife or knuckle knife and you get the first enrage for free without him hitting you once , what's annoying about him?

Since trial maps are the only way to look at compounds freely without any time limit, please place more weapons in the towers. this is important for looking at angles in details. It would help with accessebility a lot. when one is lucky it might take 4 towers to find a weapon, but often enough I have to walk at least half of the map to find a weapon. Make it less random. Maybe place even one in every tower.```

The devs are aware of the issue, but there is currently no public ETA as to when a fix will be deployed. For the time being, please avoid further sharing any guides as to how to abuse the issue.
Many of my friends have stopped playing hunt after the bug appeared. So have I. I am pessimistic about whether Crytek can quickly solve this, reconnect save hunter bug continues to be so long still not fixed. So I hope to get a clear answer. Not a vague answer like this.
I'm aiding a large number of managers because the bug is too serious and Crytek's problem solving skills are too weak. So I wanted to get Crytek management's attention instead of continuing to fix it for months like the previous bug.
As I mentioned above, the devs are well-aware of the issue. And I'm certain everyone at Crytek would like to see it fixed ASAP. But sometimes these things take a little time.
OK, I'm not asking for time here. But I must make it clear that Crytek's bug handling is so slow that it doesn't even look like a commercial company, but rather like an open source product maintained by a single person.
In addition to the speed of bug fixing, including the stability of the server, and the frame rate of the game, etc., have made a large number of people extremely disappointed with Crytek.
I wish Crytek would adjust the ratio of resource usage between multiple projects. Don't let Crytek become the most crap game company in the eyes of gamers. (It already is in my eyes.)

but maps are restricted in training. so actually no it isn't. What I'd really like to have is a free roam mode for the maps just without the PvP. So up to three players with their loadouts and PvE on the maps. so you can explore the maps together and use it as a testing sandbox. accessibility is problem in this game (like in most hc-games, because devs don't handle it well), which would be easy to fix that way. But I guess that's not gonna happen soon.
I had 2 in a row and we just decided to call it a day. The 1st time a guy just used Avto to wallbang us all down through the glass of Blanchett church within 10 seconds of us reaching the lair. The 2nd time, someone just stuck his barrel from the lair through the concrete wall of Iron Works and killed my teammate
I might just give this game a rest

How to keep $$$ to run the service/game/servers going without turning it into P2P? DLC/Skins like PD2 did it. You buy the game once, 3 years of running and development maybe 4 years don’t remember when 0.100 was out. Yeah… if you still play you got your money’s worth 100x but it still costs company to host and staff the servers even with 0 further development.
Do i think monetization is getting a bit aggressive? Sure but nobody forces you to buy and it’s not p2w. While Devs need to be paid, server hosting has to be paid, maintenance/it/support staff all need to be paid. Or do you think money grows on trees or people are selfless saints that only live to provide you with what you want having no other goals or purposes in life?
There’s no magic bullet to keep the show going unless someone wants to become angel investor and flush money in to keep the show going we have to accept that monetization will happen in one or another way.

Yeah, I did. I just got off the game after losing probably 5 or 6 hunters to things that shouldn't have even happened, so my anger was pretty fresh. The only reason I checked back was to see if anyone else is also seeing this downward spiral.

@narrow narwhal there is plenty of time to get to the bounty compound while it's banishing? You can cross the entire map in the time it takes for a bounty to banish. Considering that hunt is technically an objective based game (the bounty) we shouldn't really be punishing players for playing the objective because others are taking their merry old time to get there or are sitting 200m away holding an angle on a single window. Like sure there is nothing more depressing than seeing a bounty run off while the rest of the server was fighting somewhere else, but nothing was stopping your team from rotating out and around to fight at the objective
there are already lots of ways to block the banishing team, if they run and get out, its your mistake
agreed. either exfil camp properly, or get laughed at as they either kill ya or leave and ya only get wasted time
^^ and having been a bounty team that's sat there and waited out the banish and then a little longer as well. There is nothing more boring so you just say "eh fuk it, onto the next if nobody wants to fight over bounty" the bounty team isn't always just running from fights. It's a huge tactical disadvantage to go looking for people you only know the rough direction of on the map but meanwhile they know your EXACT location because it's shown on the map
unless we're talking about the 6 star aim gods who use DSB with FMJ waller spam to wipe out everyone nearby
and since they turn off skill-based matchmaking, not hard to run into them if ya ever make the mistake of turning it off

I'm 6 stars and my friends too, but we are not tryharders, we just rush and shot. For us playing with sbmm on is a pain in the ass, we can only get matches full of tryharders, KD farmers and idiots who plays like stars are a rank and camp forever only to save their stupid star and KD
The only way to get fun matches is by turning sbmm off

I'm curious why people think my suggestion for a soldier grunt is a bad idea. It should be made in a way that you'd have to be pretty careless to set it off, and hearing a shot in a compound is about as big of a deal as setting off dogs and shooting the lantern
Doesn't seem like a bad idea, just seems a little unnecessary. Other suggestions of grunts that drop ammo have been upvoted alot, so I'm guessing people either think a soldier grunt should try to shoot you, or they don't think the grunt should be able to shoot at all.
@pliant wren about your prestige suggestion: the dev said in a recent livestream that the prestige system is being looked at and will be reworked 🙂

Not an all bad idea, but I can see some concerns, but I will pre-face, people here rarely likes things that adds depths or complicate plays. Hence most buffs addition of power is always welcomed and nerfs/balance/enemies that requires to change play patterns is generally downvoted. Personally I think such notion is silly, but I digress.
My main concern with your suggestion is:
- I be worried about the amount of damage a "shot" would deal, I think I (and most people) see the worst possible scenario of getting shot for 50-75 hp, which is really scary and I would gauge would be more a "feel bad" scenario than an interesting one. Even low damage grunts can be a menace in a fire fight.
- I personally dislike another venue for ammo collecting, even think there might be a little too much of that in the game already, it would drastically change the power dynamic of low-ammo weapons.
I actually said in my suggestion the grunts would shoot the ground only and deal exclusively melee damage to players, just like normal grunts. The second point is fair, another opportunity to get ammo might be a bit too much
I'd change the ammo box on it, maybe a 'chance to drop a small package of either compact/medium/shotgun/long ammo' with only one use would be better than a small ammo box (which gives a lot of ammo).
I've upvoted simply because i want more AI variations, although the current AI setup is already quite terrible imo. Every single entrance is either guarded by special AI (immolater/armoureds) or (several) soundtraps. Adding even more soundtraps doesn't really appeal to me. However, I would find it fun if you'd set an ammo-grunt on fire and the ammo would explode like the small chaos bolt.
Scratching the ammo box out of the design and adding the option of making the grunt a possible walking chaos bomb sounds nice as well
My bad, I read that the shooting of the player could only happen on the second attack.
But yeah, another thing the more layers a suggestion have, even if one thing is disliked amount 10 suggestions, it will more likely get downvoted due to players not wanting to risk that 1 thing they deemed bad getting included.

Could it be interpreted that the player would get shot? I might have to take a second look, I think I wrote that the grunt would shoot the ground only after some delay on aggro, giving the player some time to react and kill him before triggering the gunshot

initially I was thinking the grunt would melee attack with the gun but that would create confusion about whether it would be a shot or similar to players' heavy melee, could have been a different damage type if the grunt would carry a bayonet weapon etc.

I'd just be happy if there was some form of a "louder" audio trap that would also be hard to distinguish from player-made sounds, the form and balancing doesn't matter that much to me as long as it would be well-balanced
but what if you sit below him? headshot through the wooden floor by a grunt if you happen to be below your teammate 😄

Naw, just me who is like, really dumb.
Not speaking out for most ofc, but i do think most ppl will downvote it because in general people are fed up with the amount of special AI and soundtraps at every corner
I'd like non-loud traps though, like foxes/badgers going around, but once hunters have passed, they've run into their den/hole. So you can see hunters have walked by (foxes are missing/den entrance closed off), but no noise was made.
Personally I don't mind that at all, it rewards stealth, speed, skill in dealing with the AI silently and a corresponding loadout to go with it - most of the time I carry throwing weapons or a silencer if I want to leave a low sound footprint on my way to the boss/enemy players
There is not a lot more they could say at the moment. Whenever issues are popping up they are looking into it and resolving it actually relatively quickly.
As someone who has worked with server providers before I can say that they often take a good chunk of time to respond.
And as far as I am concerned the upcoming changes that were announced satisfy the demands the community has for more transparency for upcoming features and they also address some long standing issues (ie Camping and prestige)
which is an issue most people have. You dont want to change your loadout jsut for the PvE aspect for a mainly pvp focused game. It's getting to the point the AI is so numerous it doesnt matter. There's quite often literally 1 entrance without soundtraps at some smaller compounds
you dont need skill to shoot a zombie with a silenced nagant. It's starting to turn from skill to tedious
Its a hard line to balance, issue is that at some point it might be too cramped with AIs. Personally I would love 5-6 more AI types, so at every round the game can take a handful of them and remix it into the match.
I'd love them to be more dangerous, but less numerous
like the hives. they've got their fixed spawnlocations. Turn it into a change to spawn, or spawn some regulars instead for once
Weird, I consider Hunt a PvPvE game, equal parts P and E, each with their own challenge - while the E is easier, it can bend you over on the P part
nah, the E part is there just to facilitate the P part and provide a dynamic to set this game apart from other BR games

That could be a solution too. Also the issue with an enemy that can make a gun shot, is that it is really punishing and sometimes you can just be unfortunate to trigger a chain of AI enemies, so some people might see it as a "oh fuck off game" scenario. Again, is it fair? Ofc, you have every opportunity to slow down and asses the situation, but players don't care about fair games, but perceived fairness.
Getting fucked by a pack of dogs while in a firefight is a sure way to go down 😄
but with the aggro-ranges and intelligence, it doesnt feel fair either
dogs get alerted but run at you instead of wahtever set them of, simply because you're closer but not even in the same direction
Issue with dogs is that they never go towards sound, but nearest target.
I dunno, I think people would be unhappier about stronger AI than about more AI types, because if you get unlucky with stronger AI, you get really unlucky - people already get mad at hellhounds and immolators being in the game
