Medkits are literally everywhere.
Running out of first aid is something you have to actively try to do.
I haven’t had a single fight since the update where the redskull has helped mid combat. My fights don’t drag out that long.
Unless you are a million miles away, I don’t see how you couldn’t prevent someone from reviving.
I don’t think the mechanic should be changed anymore. The 50 damage from it guarantees that if you use it you will be one hit to the body by the majority of the weapons in the game.

If you have a hard time preventing revives in time, consumables can help in those situations too. You might even get a kill on the guy reviving if they commit to it for some reason.
This situation would really only happen anyways if they were in a room and even then why ain't you pushing
The only change I could possibly see being okay would be to make it so if you redskull revive, you get the sound muffling of using dark sight.
Since necromancer does that and makes you vulnerable because of the sound loss.

If you are unlucky enough you can get desalle even 10 times in a row.
The sample size you would need is roughly 300+ games. This is how chance and percentiles work. What it seems is that players want streak prevention to prevent multiple occurances from happening. The issue with that, is that every player would have their own streak value to prevent multiple stacks of the same map in a row which is not acceptable for a multi-player game

@rocky orchid you weren't forced to duke it out with the team at port. If you going for the bounty, there's always the option to disengage and head down towards the bounty. In most cases, they won't even realized you left the fight for like 2 minutes.
It's unfortunate but not an impossible situation at all.
Assuming you have greyhound it takes like 3 minutes to cross the map completely. Don't tell me you didn't have enough time. That's just a lack of priorities at that point
the fight was quite long and the map was pointed out ( that the boss could be also in port reeker).. because this was quite a big area after the first clue,
yeah sure.. running away from a fight and having a sandwich situation than at catfish or getting shot by the team midway sounds like a genius plan.. greetings to that!
also that is not the first time boss compounds and extraction "cuddle" that close.. that just dont have to be a thing

@rocky orchid maybe bosses could benefit from some kind of additional resistance that will get weaker by time
so that if you spawn near a boss and instantly throw a sticky bomb in its face, it wont get oneshoted

so if you spawn near the boss and instantly start blasting him to death, he will get like 99% resistance to everything... once team 2 picks first clue, it will drop to 95% etc.
so basically... when teams start to get closer, boss grows weaker

The only issue is that even tought RNG should ensure that the scenario keeps changing but since boss location and extraction location are separate rng instances independent of each other it leads to a large portion on boss locations on the edge of the map also have one extraction right there on top of that 3rd indipendent rng is spawn locations which again can hit the same area meaning the chance of you spawn near a compound that has both boss and exit is high
Solution is quite easy exit can not be in same compound zone or adjecent one if compound is bordering with the edge of the map

The reload is normally 15 seconds from empty. With what I propose, the max would be 7 seconds.

I've thought about suggesting a Chu Ko Nu crossbow, but I believe there's literally no way to ADS with it, cause the ammo box is in the way.
Id just like to see some variants for crossbow and or bow maybe some new ammo types as well

Just had an idea for a Frag Javelin. Medium weapon, max range of 75 meters. It's got detonation cord all the way down the shaft and the outside of the shaft is covered in the same ceramic plates as the Frag Bomb. When it sticks in something it triggers and 3 seconds later, the whole shaft explodes. You'd get a very limited amount of them, say 3-5 and you wouldn't be able to reload them at all.
Not really refined enough for a suggestion, and with how much some people hate frag bombs, might not be a point to suggesting it.
@karmic ivy Very often it's way to much. Out of 100 % of ppl I play with 100% say they would like to reduce the amount of AI. Devs increased it with new map update even though players were already asking to do the opposite. Ye, sometimes they get in your way, but more often than not they take away from the PVP side of the game. Especially if you are not camping and moving actively. If you play aggressively though, you are fighting all the AI because of how aggro is done in Hunt (it's kinda broken). Wanna have 2 Immolators and 3 hives in 20 meter radius at the same time? - Easy! Devs are ready to deliver

They did add new AI spawns since 1.7, especially in Arden Parish.. but those hives are going to get adjusted again
The hives in Arden can now spawn almost on all roofs

They need to make the chance of 4-5 immolators, 8 dogs, and 4 concertina armoreds along with 3 meatheads happen way less in compounds and around them.

I see, I am one that learned how not to trigger all the A.I. If you have not embraced that strategy I can understand it being troublesome. But at that point it is your choice. And that IS the theme here. we get choices. I like that. I choose to be quiet and slower, you choose to fight A.I. and move faster. Each has good and bad points, advantages and disadvantages. So therefore I feel the A.I. balance is done right. It is tuned well. If there was less, it would allow players to move too freely I think. upsetting the balance I just mentioned.

I'm all for different styles of the gameplay. As long as one is not so heavily favoured. Devs made it so camping/slow-playing is much more likely to give you an easy win/kill. 60 mins match time duration, map design, game objectives etc. all favours this particular style... AI spawn/aggro the way it is now = overkill. Btw, so do you think 2-3 immo /hives literally stacked in one aggro radius is fine?

yeah that is fine, it is rare to have that many immolators in one place, but when it has happened to me I was able to deal with it fine. I think there was even a hive nearby.

dense AI spawns actually favor fast and loud approaches, as you are to vulnerable for to long trying to deal with a lot of threats quietly

Will matchmaking ever actually get looked at? I think the problem is the variable brackets. Allowing them to shrink/grow means that whenever you are playing off peak hours you may as well turn sbmm off.
i think something that would help would be to remove the randoms modifier. as a high 5 star, i almost always get matched with/against 4 star players which is rather frustrating
in other games with elo, you dont have a lower queue rating simply because you queue with randoms players

I have seen a normal amount of AI in full lobbies, hunt uses a "budget" system for AI spawns where each player/team has a certain amount of budget for spawning AI. This can mean that emptier lobbies = more AI spawns around players
I do hate the randoms modifier. The game seems to think that because me and my friends are a pre-made, we're suddenly using seal team six tactics. That said, I still think the brackets being variable is a big problem, since unless you're playing on a packed server at peak hours, you'll never actually get put into the rather narrow bracket in which you belong, and instead get put into the 2-3 brackets the game can justify. Even worse is that "Skill Based Matchmaking" is a misleading term, because it makes people think the game will seek to put them against players of similar skill, but in reality it usually just throws certain players into matches where they have little hope of success as fodder for 6 stars.

I already addressed the issue with proof being available to devs only and their willingness to provide it. I'm not saying that you are biased by default, but your particular argument sure does favours a convenient point of view(Devs side it is). As for my point - it is not correct simply because it's opposite to what Devs say. It is based on enough hours in the game over a long period of time, i.e. my experience. Plus on experience of other players I talked to. Plus on what I observed other streamers talk about. Is it enough? I dunno, but I'm definitely not alone thinking this way, so there's enough clues to see the argument.
Honestly what @crystal plume said has been my experience. When the server is empty or mostly empty, I see really ridiculous amounts of A.I. spawning together. I often run out of stamina with the endless streams of grunts I have to kill. I will also see lots of double/triple immolators/hives/armoreds. It's one of the telltale signs my team is alone on the map.

The new map did have really high A.I. spawnrates initially, but I'm pretty sure the devs acknowledged and addressed it. Specifically hives.
The map is also much more vertical, so even regular amounts of A.I. spawn will have a layering effect, where you trigger multiple groups on different levels.

And your experience is as good as anyone elses then, i play since march 2018 and have over 2000 hours. As for streamers its again modtly just feelings of the individual
Desalle may have more spawns than the other maps, but given the layout it would make sense to do so
Well, I guess all I can do is make a screenshot of such a "rare spawn" of multiple AI in one small area and then check how many teams where in the match.
You can get completely conflicting info by diffrent streamers on the same topic

Yeah, I'm going with Rangorok on this one. There's literally no reason for the devs to lie about this, they gain nothing. People will always piss and moan about something, check the feedback channel for proof. Nobody's leaving just cause they had a bunch of AI pop up. Especially not when a couple of properly placed decoys and a dynamite bundle can clear the whole are in a couple minutes.

I would be in favor of more A.I. if it weren't so trash. I've watched an immolator run from behind the enemy team I was fighting, through the crossfire, past my teammates, just so it could slap me, the farthest player from it.
Dolch players deserve to suffer.

I would agree to that. If AI is configured better, it would help A LOT. Right now agro works really weird sometimes.

Lol, They nerfed Dolch into being entirely too expensive for it's usefulness, and they actually adjusted Cain after release, and you're still complaining about them, proving my point, nothing is ever good enough for the ones who complain. I don't have that much of an issue with Cain, but I'm of the opinion that nerfing things is a bad way to fix problems in games. It creates a downward spiral where people just migrate to things that haven't been nerfed, then people complain about those and they get nerfed, and it continues until the game isn't worth playing. Instead I recommend buffing everything else that seems subpar in comparison. My point however is that complainers don't typically stop complaining no matter what devs do to appease them.
Well a healthy mix of berf and buffs is needed
Titanfall 2 is a good example of nerfing only when needed, buffing otherwise
literally siege right here - devs nerfed everything that had too high of a usage and the game is practically dead now

There's a good idea: The Cain pouch. A tool, a pouch filled with the ashes of your dead family. Use it to apply Cain's color scheme to your hunter for 10 minutes. Cost: one family.

Because the dark brown clothing blends with the dark skin to not make any of the features pop out in any way

He has the least clothes of any hunter covering the shape

Cain can be hard to see at times, but my main issue is with hunters whose outfit obscures their hitboxes rather than color palette.
I've missed shots on black coat and mountain man because of their attire.
Lizard man, Cain, and to a lesser extent headsman and devil dude have this problem too.

I don't know how far the devs are on fixing the trap-bug canceling the placing of beartraps and disarmed wire traps, but I realised the bug doesn't appear for me when I have Poacher on my hunters; maybe worth to look into it to measure out what's broken?

It would have to have a drastic damage reduction over the normal rival or it would just be crazy OP. Imagine it with flechette rounds.
There are a lot of weapons that are just cheaper weaker versions of others. Like the nagant and the nagant officer. Or the nagant and the caldwell conversion pistol. This would be sort of the same thing. Remerro 77 is dirt cheap and the cadlwell extended would be pretty expensive. Honestly, with the specter having a 12 meter range, spread imbetween romerro and caldwell and a 5 round mag it makes all other shotguns pretty obsolete already. Caldwell extended is a high skill, high price, high reward shotgun. Higher spread at shorter range means you really only have to point the caldwell in the general direction of your enemy and unload. The slower fire rater and higher penalty of grazing your enemy removes this luxery from the caldwell extended
I dunno, the Romero having 15 meters means it's the most reliable one shotter out of all the shotguns, there's a reason it's still used by veterans. And the reason the Rival is so good isn't because of its spread, it's cause of it doing 175 damage if all pellets hit, the spread is actually working against it, which is why you see it with flechette rounds so much, they tighten that spread. It's also why you don't see the Rival Hand Cannon hardly ever, it has even higher spread and it's damage is almost 100 points less. To extend it's range, you have to tighten it's spread and if it's still doing 175 damage at even further ranges, even if you reduce the RPM to 30, you're essentially making a mini Nitro.
The specter has good spread but significantly worse than a romero,
It has 5 rounds but at a bad rof ( any pistol shoots faster or as fast) while the other competitors have beter Rof or the ability to gaom vastly increased Rof with a perk.
So no it doesnt invalidate other shotguns - but its a good middleground

There is so much more than stats when it comes to hunts guns the big difference between the Lebel and Mosin is that they feel completely different the Lebel is slow and janky but very steady while the Mosin is comparatively smooth along with the mag size and the mosins use of clips

It is the Lebel handling is 83 and Mosin is 75

because in middle all other servers too far or too shitty. For example im in asian region but too far from singapore, japan and other asia servers locations. Im close to russia but russian servers lagging af. Better to play on eu with 120 ping than on russia with 60 and permanent rubberbanding

see.. best example, why there should be no player choice at all.. for testing purpose the selectable servers are ok, but for a online game were ping is relevant there should always the server decide which is the best option for you and take this

Guess the solution would be that if there is people from different regions the party, the game will do a coin toss to what region they'll get queued into?
by server choice they would still be able to.. why that shouldnt work? .. the server just would have some mathematical formular to calculate which is the best option for both/all three of them instead of using the fixed selected.. and also this would solve the issue people play on the highest ping for abusing purpose

Your servers are having a stroke. I desync so hard, I can shoot an entire magazine and shoot blood out of players. For no X hit marker. Same with zombies. I wish the server could do this more so I can die in every game like that.

Give players some leeway say you're in the EU and the two closest others are NA and RU - so you allow them to queue there too but lock the worst options like SA, OCE and Asia

Sbmm is a system that half works and half doesn't. It works in the sense that pure new people are protected from the killer whales. At that it works.
Where it falls apart is the sheer speed you climb the MMR ladder. It's blazingly fast. Wipe a 5 star trio as a 3 star? Consider yourself immediatly promoted
Movement is decently fluent so that's fair
The system works but with the wild swings of increasing your mmr on a successful round you can suddenly get a huge spike in the competitions skill without clearly understanding what happened.
I personally haven't had that issue but can definitely understand how someone could have it
Eyup, yesterday I had 2 hours of me getting absolutely creamed on by 3/4 stars while I was 5 star, so I dropped down to 4. Then I had one game where I killed three 5 stars and I was instantly 5 star again.
Every single time me and my friend have a successful game we climb up a half star basically but it takes three bad games for us to finally go back down, it gets us stuck with try hard over and over and makes the loop not super fun
Today alone I swung from 5 star down to 3 star and back up to 5 again. In trios mind you

It’s a part of the guns characteristics though and I personally find those characteristics extremely important so that each gun is unique
It's compensating for a weakness with the only drawback being that it's slightly harder to resupply.

The Springfield sparks martini balance is already pretty delicate, adding ammo that straight up upgrades one of them would just make one the only logical choice in the single shot niche.
How would I balance MV and Spitzer on those specific guns? I can only think of 1 way... extremely limiting the ammo provided like explosive does

Also between those two guns, the centennial only have the muzz going for it. I wish it had some tighter hip fire, just for ther levering memers (especially after the crouch nerf).

the only idea I originally wanted to suggest was adding Spitzer to the Martini-Henry IC1 because that way we have a single shot weapon which is able to use it this weapon will be unlocked early on so you could focus on using Martini-Henry or switch to the Sparks when you got that
That makes the Martini useless after the Sparks though and I think that is a terrible way to think about the weapons in Hunt

Does the martini need it? No, but thats OK. The martini is more of a mid range powerhouse rifle rather than a dedicated marksman rifle. Spitzer is ok, because it loses damage

Can't remember a humbling experience, but I remember my very first online match back during Early Access release, I got into a match with a random and I said "H-hello sir, I'm new, please be nice" and with the deepest, smoothes and bassiest voice he responds with "That's cool, just follow my lead" and we had a great match, killing another team, getting the bounty and extracting.

Boost the firing speed a little, same logic that lever action rifles tend to be faster shooting.
Rn we have:
Terminus: 36rpm
Specter: 40rpm
C&K: 100rpm
I would put the Terminus rpm above Specter, maybe shave the effective range down to 10m (from 11m), giving the Specter the 12m long barrel edge.

or in better perspective shooting 4 rounds out of dualwielding has your left gun readying faster than trying to shoot a single pistol twice

DB - needs MV buff, but otherwise great
Explosive - Meme, console ruined the pc experience, but understandable problem.
Spitzer - good design, but scarcely available
Starshell - good by design, poor in implementation (short duration of flare, sound is still like trying to fire buckshot)

Usually, I would say we should refrain from pinging people who votes on suggestions.
Having it as UI would be immersion breaking for me. I like the idea of the spyglass helping in judging distances, but not as a number under your ping.
I would prefer this kind of "thing" on the spyglass so it still would require some effort to know the distance between you and the thing you're looking at (even tho it's not very historically acurate)
I am kinda so and so, it doesn't really affect my gameplay, but I also don't feel it add that much to the game. Can a new player truly use the information given for anything constructive?
90% of engagement distance is close enough where muzzvelo means little anyways.
There really is no point of reference for learning meter distance so I would be happy with either option, it would still rarely ever get used and never be meta, but the item would have a reason to exist
Like, I would be happy to at least one go into a map and gauge distances such as "what is exactly 150m"

Hunt Showdown Hit reg issue with crossbow
I think the issue with stadiametric rangefinding on a spyglass is that it'd realistically be way too tedious and too circumstantial to actually see play.
You need a target you know the size of at the time of measuring, then you need to swapp off your weapon, to the spyglass align the rangefinder, read the very rough distace off it, swapp back to your weapon , aim again and only then you're ready to shoot
you can't check the distance of a cool shot you made because you lack the refrence point with correct size, not can you measure the distance beforehand to be ready once a person shows up.
What i think could work - is give the map some of the usefulness and tools of this one (https://hunt-map.info/) like the ruler one, or the rough 100m x 100m grid.
Then if your pings would show up on both the map and the HUD you could ping a place and then open the map and measure the distance with the "Ruler" tool.
what this would do is it'd allow you to measure the range without needing a hunter to stand there, so you could measure before and after you have a target. To either prepare for an upcoming situation, or find the range of an awesome shot you made. And it'd be thematically fitting and period correct.
And one could still have the stadiametric rangefinding option for when the situation does arise as they aren't mutually exclusive
