Hey guys, I am new to jailbreaking, I tried to jailbreak my Iphone x with pelara1n , it is on IOS 16.7.10, I somehow made it through, had some errors showing on pc but it worked, then I opened sileo and installed crane, after that crane and sileo dissapeared , I can still see crane in app settings. Should I retry to jailbreak, any ideas of what did I do wrong?

You can re-enable updates by uninstalling this profile in Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management.

If you're jailbroken, you can also install the OTADisabler tweak instead, but note that it is harder to remove while unjailbroken.

hello guys! i tried to install palera1n on iphone SE 2016 (1st gen) iOS : 15.8.3, and I installed it. but, i restored it to original ios. and i tried to jailbreak it again, but it did not work. the palen1x tells me he's booting recovery mode, he's boot recovery mode, and he tells me to boot DFU mode, and if i restart iphone to boot from normal mode to DFU mode, he's restarting to recovery. If you’re on AMD/Ryzen, you may be encountering a few issues when using checkra1n or palera1n. This can vary between freezes and straight up crashes. It’s because of AMD’s weird drivers that cause it not to work that well with checkra1n’s/palera1n's exploit. If you’re lucky you can actually successfully manage to jailbreak using checkra1n/palera1n.

Tips to increase successrate:

• Plug your device into your computer's motherboard.
• Use a genuine Apple USB-A to lighting cable.

If you’re stuck on the Apple logo please force reboot yourself (see: /tag reboot).

If these don’t work, try to get your hands on another computer (preferably intel), and try to use checkra1n again.

iPhone X, iOS 16.7.10 rootless palera1n using palen1x-- Long story short the phone rebooted and lost jailbreak. I erased all content and settings, didn't use passode or any SEP, was able to re-jailbreak. However upon loading onto the LS for the first time immediately after Jailbreaking it was already in safe mode. There was also remnant tweaks/apps/etc leftover from the original JB, even after erasing all content and settings. As you can imagine a bunch of stuff is broken and not working properly. Should I use the "restore" function in the palera1n app and THEN try and re-jb? Maybe full wipe from itunes? Or is there an easier route I can take while staying in the jailbroken state I'm in now. Thanks for any help, much appreciated.

palera1n has received updates to support both iPadOS 17 and 18, however this comes with some misconceptions. palera1n is different from app-based jailbreaks such as Taurine, unc0ver, Dopamine, etc, as it uses the checkm8 bootROM exploit. In simple terms, this means that the exploit targets the read-only low level hardware of the phone, meaning it is completely unfixable by Apple, and can only be fixed by releasing newer devices.

However, this also means palera1n will only ever support older devices on 17+, namely A10X iPads and older (as there are no checkm8-supported iPhones that received iOS 17 or newer). Compatibility for iPadOS 17+ is limited to the following devices:

• iPad 6th Gen
• iPad 7th Gen (17 & 18)
• iPad Pro 10.5 inch
• iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2nd Gen
