This is what I followed but there are a few caveats, you need to most likely reset your phone, create a new apple id, one you never used a passcode with, with a different email than your first, don't set touch or passcodes, no restoring from icloud or anything

If you get red text that says it can't communicate at the end replug your cable. If it boots right past that before checkm8 and to the home screen, it's likely your cable ( you can use off brand but it has to be apple bs certified). If it never works chances you are using a account that had a password at one time, create a new account just for the phone, in the apple store log out and use another for your apple store so you get that stuff back.
If it dissapears you gotta jailbreak again, none of that shortcut stuff ever worked for me.

- To analyze how certain apps use Touch ID, I would reboot into an unjailbroken state and enable Touch ID. Obviously, I can only test apps where I have injected Frida into the app itself.
- To analyze other aspects, where a jailbroken state would help, I would disable Touch ID and then reboot and perform the jailbreak.

stopping palera1n with ctrl+c and re-running palera1n causes it to stop at waiting for devices unless also rebooting the ipad, which just restarts the whole process

Rootful writes to the root directory in iOS, rootless creates the jailbreak environment in /var/jb
In short meaning tweaks need to be updated for rootless
So when you add a repo, if it doesn’t see the rootless tweaks, it will show as empty. You’ll also get a error saying architecture file is missing

Can someone confirm with absolute certainty that even if there was someone that wanted to "bug" my phone, meaning be able to listen in or see where I am etc. (not through conventional FindMy or anything like that), I mean really bug like a spyware or tracking/third party app of some sort that would allow for mseeing live location, access to microphone, ability to read messages in messages or social media apps etc... A9(X) and earlier devices have an issue where they will get stuck midway through this process in pongoOS. To work around this issue, you'll need to do the following:
- In the terminal window, press Control + C on your keyboard
- Rerun the command that you just ran
- You'll need to do this every time you rejailbreak your device as well.

i just updated to the latest palera1n beta 7 or 8 version i think
and i use palen1x to jailbroke my iphone 10 15.5
before, it would automatically say that i can disconnect the device and that the jailbroke has ben ran
but now, it just says Booting kernel and does not say anything else, however my device boots up fine
is this an known issue?

I've been trying to downgrade my device using futurerestore to iOS 12.3. I've followed all the recommended steps:
- Saved SHSH blobs from TSS Saver for version 12.3.
- Checked and set the nonce correctly.
- Jailbroke my device (iPhone SE first gen).
- Used the correct iOS 12.3 IPSW from ipsw.me.
But every time I attempt the process, it fails after the green screen and Apple logo phase. futurerestore doesn't provide a specific error, which leaves me a bit lost.

I can ssh into my iphone 6s (15.7.8) using iproxy to port 44 to 2222 no problem on rootless. Can not connect when jailbroken rootful. Trying to mod files but can not access via ssh in rootful for some reason. Also, I notice when I jb rootful, it keeps beeping the charge alert on and off until I disconnect lightning cable. If you typed 'sudo palera1n' to jb it's rootless. If you typed 'sudo palera1n -cf' to create a fakefs, then typed 'sudo palera1n -f' to jailbreak, then you are rootful. Basically if you don't know if you are rootful or rootless, you are probably rootless! 😆 (Type palera1n -h for more details, command arguments)

Hi all, I have a general question which probably includes some noobism/low level misunderstanding: I have a 6s with 15.7.7 and want to dump an application using Frida after using palera1n on my mac. I can list the processes but when i try to dump one Frida complains about wrong credentials. They are set to root/alpine which seems to work on a local console but it also seems the root account is hanging under the mobile account. Is it possibly rootless/rootful related? And how would I choose rootful (if that even helps) with the standard palera1n installation? I also tried modifying the dump.py settings to use mobile/alpine instead of root but that also does not work (some unspecific error). Can anyone please give me a hint what might be wrong? Thank you in advance 🙂
