that’s exactly my answer when people ask me why i do. mostly people who don’t jB. then i usually give them my must have tweaks. i would usually say BioProtect or iCaughtU or something to give them an basic idea of why i do.

Yet they only know of the little things like "can I get free stuff" or "how many ways can I watch content?" Sam fixed my Certificate on the XCode issues. I was on the phone with senior Apple Developers few days and they don't anything about jack Shit XCode Revoke issues

It took only 2 minutes to fix my issue and Apple took 20 days and still no resolution

Jailbreak is tethered so you don't need to power it down or never ever reboot your Apple TV4 box. Connect your computer and jailbreak it and install ReProvision from NitoTV and log in your same Apple ID in to that ReProvision app.

The jailbreak is semi-tethered. You would need a computer to re-jailbreak it (or a laptop) when the device reboots or becomes unplugged.

Depending what tvOS you're on, you can use semi-untethered methods like unc0ver TV.. but it looks like you're on the latest..

@fleet parcel I use Mojave and Xcode 11.3.1 with the latest developer platforms added for my devices and so far so good. I think if you're using High Sierra you can use Mojave without worry. I even have an old 2009 iMac that I updated with DosDude's Mojave Patcher and it works great. New life to an old machine.

@faint scarab I have spare Apple ID's that I haven't converted to 2FA just for signing devices. Makes life easier considering Apple is doing the opposite for us.

2. Type su and press Enter.
3. Enter the default password, which is alpine, and press Enter.

5. You will be prompted to enter the new password twice. It will not show as you type it, this is normal.
6. Type passwd root and press Enter.
7. You will be prompted to enter the new password twice. It will not show as you type it, this is normal.

NOTE: On Elucubratus jailbreaks such as unc0ver and checkra1n, only the first 8 characters of your password are used. Everything else is ignored.

Spoofing the mac address on-device would require specific hooking. You'd need to pair it with another computer, then relay all connections from the primary source to an alternative, spoof, then re-connect

I got an old Apple TV 3. I currently don’t have access to a Mac or a pc that can hackintosh. Can I jailbreak it? If so can I enable HD on it? In addition I would like to install Disney+ on it. Would this be possible? (Never done a tvOS jb before. As I’m aware blackb0x requires a Mac and is based on checkm8 so it won’t work in a vm)

people have been working on bringing that to tvOS but there is no stable version with a GUI package manager and all for it yet

@fleet parcel So yesterday I noticed my CTV app needs tvOS 14 to open. Darn... why is CTV pushing out updates requiring only the latest OS? Anyway, I've been using 13.4.5 with unc0ver on my 4k. I really like having Reprovision to resign, the other day the power went out during a storm and I just resigned everything in a pinch. So, long story aside, do you happen to know if I set DalesDeadBug to 14 if the app will then launch? Currently, Nito's repo is not working so can't test it.

DalesDeadBug is mainly for tvos 10, if you're wanting to downgrade it, you could use app store++ but seeing as nitosoft is down (the site that the package is on) you can't install it online.. I'll find the deb

If I use the AppleWWDRCAG3.cer that expires in 2030 it populates the iOS App Signer's Signing Certificate dropdown box at least, but it still gives an error which it can't resolve on its own.

If you're getting a code signing error, check your keychain and look for any duplicate or non-valid keys
