Struggling with my 4K too on tvOS26. It’s a spare box so I think I’ll wait to update the rest. Doesn’t seem to want to create a fakefs and just panics complaining there isn’t one. Goes straight into DFU rather than setup the fakefs, tried with -B and -c. No change

Glad to see this thread. I'm having the same exact issue on tvos 26.0.1. I'm using Palera1n on my Macbook Pro 15 inch. I believe it's a 2015 model. The Apple TV 4 k 1st generation doesn't appear to create the fakefs successfully. I run the command as recommended -c -f. As I look at my TV screen, I see the code run. As I look at my Macbook it says wait up to 10 minutes for it to create fakefs. I've tried approximately 6 to 7 times. I've tried waiting 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Finally I let it run all night while I was sleeping. Still no success. Not asking for advice or trying to complain at all. I've used Palera1n for years and very happy with the developments achieved. Just wanted to show what I'm experiencing in case it's helpful for future purposes

I can downgrade to 13 from a file on ipsw.me. But once that's done, I won't have a tvos 18 file to upgrade to using ota delay. Not trying to cause headaches for anyone. Just checked how much storage space is available on my Apple TV 4k 1st generation. It's only 10gb available. This is after factory resetting it. So I guess my next thing to find out is how to remove everything. After resetting it, I didn't install ANY APPS. So something is still on it that didn't come off with the reset

I did try uninstall the older version of palera1n but it always fail to startup after running palera1n -f --force-revert.

The only thing I can't find after jailbreaking is a tweak to do theming. I wanted to change the app icons and stuff like that. I tried installing Snowboard to do theming. But the Apple TV froze up on me. So I had to start from the beginning all over

The tvos 18 beta that I found gave me the url to type in to download it directly in the settings on the Apple TV. Don't see a url to do the same with an ios beta. The Apple TV 2 is easy to jailbreak from the stuff I've searched out. But I never had an Apple TV 2. Not sure what package manager is out there that apps and tweaks can be from. But if there is a good package manager for it, it would be sweet to jailbreak. From what I'm looking at, you can get an untethered jailbreak on it. So if it ever gets unplugged, loses power due to a power outage in ur area, you won't have to read jailbreak. It would be a permanent jailbreak.

hey yall, im on a Apple TV HD with the A8 Chip on 26.0.1. I jailbroke with Palera1n and i have purepkg, trollstore lite, and the palera1n app. I'm looking to install Kodi, a broswer, app, useful stuff like that but evertime i try to root in from my mac, im honestly a little in over my head. I tried installing these two from Nitos repo but nothing shows up even after a respring. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi everyone - quick question, I recently picked up an Apple TV 4K (1st gen) and it’s on tvOS 15.1.1. I know it’s possible to install TrollStore on this device, but I’m a bit lost on the best approach and would really appreciate some guidance.

A few specific questions:

• Is the GoldenEye cable really required to do the jailbreak, or is there a reliable DIY method that doesn’t need that cable?
• What are the real advantages of just installing TrollStore versus doing a full jailbreak? I was mainly planning to install Kodi because I' don't know what else the jailbreak as to offer.

@trim wagon Question after installing it and opening YouTube there is a popup in the right top corner about going into settings and checking the Speed or something. The popup disappears in 2 seconds before you can read it all. I should have took a pic. Do you know what it's about?
