I recently sourced an AppleTV running tvOs 15.5.1

My goal is to get Trollstore running on it to eventually run Minecraft AppleTv. The video source I got my info from indicated Trollstore has valid installs from TvOS 14.0 to 16.6.1 so I figured I would be safe with 15.5.1.

In checking Trollstore, there seems to be an incredibly tiny gap in the available downloads going from 15.5 to 15.6 beta 1.

Am I screwed here? Or can I potentially just use the 15.5 version and it will install OK? I haven't tried anything yet.

i have blobs for 14.7 on apple tv 4 HD. I'm currently on 17.3 and want to downgrade to 14.7. I plan on downgrading to 13.4.8, JB, then futurerestore to 14.7.

Can I still use futurerestore to do this?

hey all trying to jailbreak my apple tv hd on 18.2.1 tvos. i see it's supported here. when running ./palera1n -fc i get stuck on pongos, so i ctrl+c and run the same command again. however the filesystem is never created and i just boot back into tvos without palera1n. any suggestions?

Greetings all! I'm new to jailbreak of tvOS, but have jailbroken iPhone 12 and 14 in the past. I have Apple TV 4K (64GB), currently with tvOS 14.4. I had ordered GoldenEye and Alex DCSD cables while CFW guide indicated that for 18.2.1 (at that time, the only official update offered by tvOS 14.4), no jailbreak was not available. I have and MacBook Airs with Apple Silicon and Windows PCs available to run the required software, and could install a Linux box if that is preferred.

My GoldenEye and Alex DCSD cables just arrived, and I see that palera1n will now work with 18.3.

I would prefer to be running a version higher than 14.4, since many streaming apps are no longer supporting 14.4, but since this is not my only ATV, that isn't a hard requirement. Is there a path that would result in a jailbroken ATV 4K at any versions between 14.4 and 18.3?

Would you recommend starting with Odysseyra1n on 14.4 and gathering various blobs and other data which will leave more options open in the future, or should I go ahead and update to 18.3 via Apple's official update process, then use palera1n to jailbreak 18.3?

While it sounds like I should proceed with latest checkra1n, I would appreciate a recommendation on whether to upgrade to 18.3 before jailbreak, or if there would be additional flexibility/options by jailbreaking while on 14.4 (and maybe any major plusses or minusses of those 2 options).

it works in jailbroken and non-jailbroken mode. I had to jailbreak on Apple TV 4 HD in order to get the file in through SSH first
