FS out of my league as well. For me what happens is during FS process, iTunes eventually opens asking me to update or restore, I close the popup box and go back to FS and get the message "Device did not disconnect. Possibly invalid iBEC. Reset device and try again". Any idea what I can try?

Hey all, looking for help with FutureRestore. Trying to upgrade from 13.4 => 14.3. I followed this guide https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/o3zp64/tutorial_the_guide_to_actually_end_all_other/ but it's hung saying ERROR: Failed to place device in recovery mode. Hello y’all I’m trying to upgrade my iPhone 8 to iOS 14.8 from 14.7.1 with futurerestore GUI and I have my iOS 14.8 blobs saved but when it starts restoring it says failed to extract firmware from ipsw is there a way to fix this issue?

Tried FR GUI got as far as connecting to FDR client and after a few attempts it reported failed and came back to the recovery screen. I click Exit Recovery and it just opens iTunes on my Mac asking me to Cancel, Update or Restore. I cancel but still have the recovery screen on the iPhone. Suggestions please?

Not sad at all... I successfully FS'd and am now on 14.3 👍 ... never give up!
First used the latest beta... kept getting "Device did not disconnect. Possibly invalid iBEC. Reset device and try again"
Then switched to the non-beta version where I kept getting "FDR waiting for message" error
Then switched back to the beta version and it eventually went through. All other steps the same.

I keep getting this error: Device did not reconnect. Possibly invalid IBSS. Reset Device and try again. I am trying to set the nonce with pwndfu and yes it is in pwndfu and i did run the sigchecks its a ipad 7th gen.(i do have mdm dont think thats it tho.)

After the fact I was told I would have had a smoother update if I used beta 264 (apparently I used 268 which is what the GUI serves up). I do not know where/how you get the beta 264 version.

You need a jailbreak and an exploit for blobs to be used
blobs are validated via a nonce(number-useonce) which the device generates. Since its random it will never match the blob's nonce.
With a jailbreak or exploit we can set the nonce so it matches the blob then its not random anymore.

Without a jailbreak you can use blobs saved if you freeze nonce, save blobs with the frozen nonce. As long as nonce doesn't freeze as a new value you can use the saved frozen nonce blobs. However one you restore or update it unfreezes and changes nonce.

Hi everyone! Kudos for the support and patience. Read all the guides but wanted to double check I got things in order before biting the bullet and futurerestoring my iPhone 8 from 12.4 (jb w/ unc0ver) to 14.3. Has anyone restored successfully to 14.3 recently with the latest/15.2.1 SEP, is it compatible? As I don’t have a mac what are my options for doing this? Windows will fail? Linux VM? Live disc?

Hey I'm having trouble with updating my device. iPhone X global version on iOS 13.5. I have saved blobs for 14.7.1.
I've set nonce to 0x1111111111111111. On unc0ver jailbreak. Picked blob and ipsw file. Selected Preserve Data (--update). When I press Start FutureRestore I get "SEP firmware is NOT being signed!". How do I overcome this?

Okay I’ve tried all my best but still nothing work. downgrade from iOS 15.1 to 14.8. Python script part 1 was successful but part 2 futurerestore GUI didn’t detect my phone even its in dfu mode.
I turn on my phone manually to check. And it detect my phone but it say “pwndfu enabled, but device in normal mode”
When i turn my phone in dfu mode its say “init device not found”
I have 3 laptop i tried on all same problem everywhere.
I tried ubuntu 20
Ubuntu 18
Xbuntu 20
My device is iPhone 8 plus.
Can anyone tell me what’s going on?
Maybe there’s any driver that I missed or something else? It’s just don’t detect my phone. On the other hand my phone is detected by iTunes in dfu mode but in linux futurerestore GUI can’t detect it.

Who in the hell did you tell that? Yeah, jb is an option. But if you manage to get into pwndfu mode and able to set nonce with futurerestorer (jb not required), you have no problems.
