You remember how with delayed OTA there were two extra fields: Managed and Delay Period... toss delay period out the fucking window and rename Managed to AlternateSU and that’s basically how AlternateSU works.
Basically, if you’re on 14.5+, you’re able to use AlternateSU to receive “security updates for iOS 14” (which was the model Apple has started pushing). It’s the same thing as how Delay OTA functionally is (generates BCert) but with the details above

no you can't, it's not signed if you just do a normal request, it requires a special field called BCert
it could maybe be used for upgrades in the future (we still need to figure that out) but not for downgrades

- futurerestore or delay OTA to 15.0.1 (or 15.1 beta 3, but not recommended because of annoying beta expiry alerts) and also have a chance at a JB somewhat sooner than 15.0.2+ but still probably quite a while until it happens
15.0.1 and below has a vulnerability but it's still likely that 14.8 and below will get a JB sooner because it doesn't need to be rootless there (just another thing Apple did to make JB harder)

I found out what the issue is 
oh no no no..
I believe that the ecid I used to save the blobs were incorrect. One of the ecids are 15 chars, and the other is 18 chars (which im 90% sure all of them should be 18.) Sadly, because of this error no updating for me. My ios 14.X blobs are on the bad ecid, and my ios 12.X, and 15.X ecids are on the right one.
Oops, I meant the correct one is 15 characters, and the incorrect one is 18.
Wait, actual error: chose hex while using decimal on the site tss saver. I'll be using blobsaver in tandem of tss to prevent this in the future.

How to set a nonce (with checkm8?) to one of the blobs to her phone? Problem is checkm8-nonce-setter only supports Mac OS X and we only have Windows computer, second problem is checkm8-nonce-setter doesn’t seem to support iPhone10,2 officially. What I mean is this: I have read that the SEPBB are the same in the versions 14.0-14.6 (or are at least compatible. My device is working now, so can I use the SEP I already have (14.3) when on 14.5.1. What I intent to do is to not update the SEP and BB files by choosing the No SEP and No BB option in FutureRestore GUI. Will the upgrade process then leave the SEP and BB alone (no check if it is a signed version) and just go ahead with upgrading to 14.5.1. The result woud then be a iPhone 12 on 14.5.1 with the unchanged and untampered SEPBB of 14.3 and so a working Face ID

Ok, so the existing SEPBB will be emptied when doing an upgrade and when choosing NO SEPBB, these will remain empty bricking the device. I hoped that when upgrading and choosing NO SEPBB that the SEPBB of my ios14.3 install would remain during the upgrade to 14.5.1
but I now understand that ius not the case

I just wanted to share my experience as I’ve been trying to futurerestore for 4 days now and I finally got it. Originally I was using 14.5 blobs with iOS 15.0.2 sep and baseband. I could not get it work. I used 14.3 blobs from another website with iOS 15.1 baseband and sep and it worked. The only issue I faced that I’ll include in the screenshot was it stopped/timed out all I had to do was reboot and edit recovery mode and boom iOS 14.3

Hey there! You guys helped me a lot! I was trying to figure how to set a nonce to an A11 device on 15.1 and you guys suggested to use a Linux distribution to put it in pwndfu. I’m on my way but things are getting difficult! Do you guys know of a distro that has been made for that, or that is quite light that can be installed with WUBI-UEFI? We tried Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Kubuntu but everytime during the installation, it seems to stay blocked at the logo of the distro and we got this as a result (by pressing F2):
Because yes we don’t have any USB device! Is it possible otherwise to virtualize an OS on Windows?
