Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP and baseband for your device:
Devices that only support up to iOS 12 (most A7 and A8 devices excluding iPad5,1 - iPad5,4): 11.3-12.5.4
A9 and A10: 14.0-14.8
A11 devices: 14.3-14.8
A12 devices and newer: 14.0-14.8
thx
yes it is, the SEP and baseband for your device is "iPadOS 11.3 - iPadOS 12.5.4"
@olive oasis
you need the blobs
I have for 10.3.1
but the sep is compatible from 11.3 to 12.5.4 (information of the image of @mystic axle)
So i can only downgrade to 11.3 to 12.5.4 ?
from where I know yes
Are these settings correct for restoring an ipad 2018 (a10) from 14.8 to 14.3?
It also tells me "Waiting for message from FDR" for almost 5 minutes now and the Ipad progressbar is like 80%
hmm, you put "preserve data (update)" and you're doing a downgrade ...
Yes. I want to keep my data
i understand but the option for keep data is only for update (at least that's what the program says)
I am on iOS 14.7.1 and I am currently not in jailbroken on an a14 device But I have saved my blobs and my generator was already set can I still downgrade to 14.4.2
I’m having issues the future restore do you have to be jailbroken to use it
no
If your nonce was set, then you can downgrade, but you have to show us what's the issue you're having
yeah you fucked
due to filesystem being different
you should restore now
is 14.8 sep compatible with 14.5.1?
yes
Does erase all content and settings change my nonce
Now I am here after a month, I want to try with 0x111 ... generator and re-create the apnonce for downgrade. I saw people who have my problem and I solve it. I am on iOS 14.8 so I have nothing to lose trying. I hope you are available to help me at some point... Thank you very much for the help you gave me before and also if you help me now. Thanks (the problem is that I want to downgrade to 14.3 but I saved the blobs with "blobsaver 2.0" and I will try with the generator 0x111 ... to recreate the apnonce for downgrade) can you help me pls :3 ?
@gusty iris ok then set generator, I'll wait
...
Alas it was not
what else would nonce mean
I don’t know what it means I just know it’s the funny number I grab to make blobs
number use once
ohhhhhhhhhhhh
cani check lets say i am on ios 14.4
i would like to downgrade to 14.3
i would need a shsh2 blob for 14.3 and the unsigned ipsw for 14.3 right?
And you need to be jailbroken
Yes I am jailbroken on 14.4 using checkrain but I can't shsh2 blobs at 14.3. only 14.7.1 and above
you can use shsh2 blobs on 14.3
I can't blobs at that version on tssaver. Only 14.7.1 and above
yes i know
i don't get what you mean
so i can use a unsigned ipsw at 14.3 and a shsh2 blob at 14.7.1 ?
i don't get what you mean
i was asking as i have a jailbroken ios 14.4 . i would like to downgrade to ios 14.3 . i have downloaded the unsigned ipsw 14.3 and wouldl ike to check if i would need the shsh2 blob at 14.3? because currently shsh.host and tsssaver are returning me download links for 14.7.1 and above shsh2 blob
yes so is there anyplace which i can download 14.3 blobs? because https://tsssaver.1conan.com/v2/ and https://shsh.host/ gives me 14.7.1 and above blobs
An online easy to use APTicket / SHSH2 blob saver and checker. SHSH2 blobs are used in unsigned iOS upgrades and downgrades. App available on https://repo.1conan.com
no you can't
hi
hi
do i have to have jailbroken a12 device to get blob file?
no
oh
damn, i don't have jailbreak and i am on 14.4
yeah, this doesn't need a jailbreak
you don't need a JB to save blobs on A12+ anymore, but you will need one to use them in the future
you can only save blobs for signed versions, so right now you can start saving blobs for 14.7.1 and above
on A12+ downgrading with blobs is limited because you need to be on a jailbreakable version to downgrade, so it's more useful for upgrading
like if you stay on 14.4 but a 14.7.1 JB comes out but 14.7.1 is already unsigned, you can update to it
anyway I wanted to upgrade to newest iPadOS for a minute to checked if issue I have with an iPad is resolved or I have to apply to replace my iPad: if you go to settings and perform pinch in/out gesture with trackpad (it doesn't matter if regular trackpad or magic keyboard) system register this as a click/tap
yeah unfortunately you will not be able to downgrade after you upgrade to an unjailbreakable version (until there's a jailbreak for the new version, but by that time it will be likely to pointless to downgrade)
I tried to ask on bunch of apple chats, but there people are focused there on basic stuff like, "how do I restart my iPad" and no one payed attention to this rather specific question
I'll do it then I'm waiting for jailbreak because I badly want to use UTM to run Linux
could you check this thing I mentioned provided you have required hardware?
yeah, just save blobs with blobsaver and stay on your current version if you want a jailbreak ASAP, then if the jailbreak happens to cover newer versions you can update and have the jailbreak too after the JB is out
my dad has an iPad but he doesn't have a trackpad/keyboard for it so I can't check, sorry
hmm
maybe I will go to apple store and plug trackpad there and check
eh this OS is so hostile towards doing anything more than taking notes and crap, I feel like it treats me like an invader
running code natively: no, OS backups: no, virtual machines: no, downgrading: no
how does apple tells it is suitable for desktop replacement, i don't know
sorry I had to vent, I am new iPad user
does upgrading iOS version through iTunes reset the device’s generator if I’ve set it before upgrading?
device's generator will always be reset during any upgrade/restore, itunes is irrelevant
ok thanks
Hi guys! Can i ask a question? With futurerestore, can i downgrade an iPhone 12 mini with iOS 14.4 to 14.3?
Oh ok,thanks!
as well as a jailbreak you also need saved blobs
any futurerestore guides? there used to be one pinned

Good assumption
if my blob doesn't have a saved generator. To use it do I need to set the nonce to 0x111 ... ??? I am using ckeckra1n on iOS 14.8 and iPhone 6s (A9x)
i want to restore to iOS 14.3
No it doesn’t just magically match to that generator
It’s easy to tell the generator if saved properly
What is the nonce
It’s the end of the blob name
@gloomy ore
srry for don't answer, i'm here now
6284779828396_iPhone8,1_n71ap_14.3-18C66_b6b774e8c503a6bdef0af9a0803f6b90f287a84f.shsh2 (i have other blobs from the same device with another nonce in the name)
i saved my blob with blob saver BUT THE 2.0/2.5 VERSION
@zealous bridge whats the default taurine nonce
@valid adder
why does the 2.0 version matter
the 2.0 version don't save the generator
and maybe other information that i don't know
Is it possible to me to downgrade to 14.6 from 14.7 if I have blobs? On A14
you need jailbreak to use futurerestore
No you don't
Wow, I knew you needed to have a jailbreak to be able to set the nonce
sorry for misinforming if I'm wrong
You’re not wrong, I’ve looked it up. You need to be jailbroken.
No you don't
If your nonce is frozen and correct for your blobs
@errant socket if I set the nonce in 0x11… for example and then I restore rootfs the nonce will still in 0x111… ??? (Sorry for my bad English)
It would make sense because when I set the nonce, futurerestore puts the device into recovery mode and the jailbreak is disabled
@gloomy ore how did you save blobs because that nonce doesn't make sense
show all nonces
ok

which version are you trying to go to
do you have multiple 14.3 blobs
no
i want to try to downgrade, i don't loose nothing because i'm on 14.8
if its not posible... nothing to do
how did you save with blobsaver
no
ok
bruh
... maybe i'm incorrect
ooh
where did you specify the nonce from
read from device
were you jailbroken at the time
yes
but did you set nonce when jailbroken
but in that time i remember that the program don't ask you if you are or not jailboken
yes
what nonce did you set then
really i don't remember
well then the blob is useless if you can't remember
but thats a super large code
aaaah
its only 16 long

updating from 14.4.2 to 14.5.1, have blobs, set generator
not sure what the error code here is 😓
i read the nonce right now from de device selecting "no jailbreak" option
you set something else or your nonce wasn't set @gloomy ore
that won't work for the 14.3 blob
you needed to save the 2nd box value when saving
send me the 14.3 blob
ok
@queen halo give context
i send you from dm ?
thats fine
like i said, upgrading from 14.4.2 to 14.5.1 with blobs and generator set properly
thats not the context I need
what do you need
the command you ran
oh sorry

thankfully it didnt brick my device so i can try again 😅
@soft turtle does v2.5.0 save generator anyware?
@queen halo wym the 6s has perma jailbreak
no but checkm8 auto setter is on it
its not bricked you just need to restore to stock, set nonce and try again
mind sending the full log
no it's not bricked, i just exited recovery and it was fine
it failed restore it shouldn't be able to exit
odd
send full log pls
oh wait
I can check
one sec
yeah i have send logs on
i might have to go today but i can come back tomorrow night maybe
@queen halo does your device have a battery?
well I have no idea why it would fail

@gloomy ore waiting on response
ok thx
@queen halo nothing to be nervous about if you backed up
update mode is always risky
Thank you so much for everything. I'm going to sleep now, tomorrow if you are available to help me I would really appreciate it
No, the user would have to remember the nonce they set in versions before v3
loss
@gloomy ore your blob is useless, you should have upgraded to blobsaver latest version also don't use specify on a9
unless you wrote down the 2nd box
Ok thank you very much, any chance to try something? Or everything will fail
And I’m using now TSS saver for save the blobs with the configuration “specify generator: 0x1111111111111111” this is correct ?
Generator yes
Ok, thanks
If you have the blobs you can… I don’t recommend you because there is always the probability of error and having to restore to the latest version, besides that the untethered exploit works in your version. but if you can, of course you have the blobs
np, good luck with future restore
Srry, I was wrong. The generator is this
Q: Does AppData of Unused "Offloaded" Apps saved on device survive an iOS Update? - via a full Future Restore (via iTunes or so?)
Does AppData of Unused "Offloaded" Apps saved on device survive an iOS Update?
Edit Details:
Would it be retained through an iOS Update? via these 3 ways:
OTA Update, Backup/ Restore via iTunes, or Fut Restore?
-
Wondering how iOS manages this App Data etc through iOS upates?
-
For e.g. Some Apps are way too big, and their use is infrequent/ once in a while,
-
But I'd prefer not to lose the; Logins/ Sign ins, Documents/ Data, App Data/ Settings created within that App during its use.
-
That's when I'd prefer to offload the App & down it when needed - work as before - use for few days/ a week - Off load again.
Can I preserve DATA if I go from 12.4 to 14.1 using FR GUI?
If you are upgrading or restoring to the same version the device is on, you may enable Preserve Data to keep data, however do not use this when downgrading. Especially when downgrading from 14.5 to a lower version, as that will result in a recovery loop.

Any difference between ota blob and on device blob
I got a error unable to place the device in restore mode
iPhone X restore from iOS 14.6 to 14.0.1
14.0.1 blob is on device saved
is there anyway i can use future restore to get me out of a bootloop
Put it into recovery mode and then use futurerestore
sweet, thanks
what like do i do in future restore for that
im already in recovery mode
Recovery mode loop is not a boot loop
i know im saying i was in a bootloop and i manually put it into recovery mode
if i exit i just go back to bootlooping
You need blobs
Is this normal when "FDR Timeout 0x60003270120" happens?
So with the FDR Timeout, it successfully restored to iOS 14.5.1. Leaving this comment up incase if anyone else would like to know.

I hate existing
I mean the fact that we exist and yet “hi yes insert dipshitism here”
blobs can be categorized based on:
- Type: IPSW / OTA / Factory
- Source: TSS / Onboard
(I don't think TSS can give you factory blobs but apart from that...)
just already is a pain in its own merit
source is irrelevant as long as it has a known generator, only thing you lose out on is the BBTicket (baseband blobs) which is currently useless anyway
watch a baseband exploit come out tomorrow
!t sepbb
Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP and baseband for your device:
Devices that only support up to iOS 12 (most A7 and A8 devices excluding iPad5,1 - iPad5,4): 11.3-12.5.4
A9 and A10: 14.0-14.8

A12 devices and newer: 14.0-14.8
@zealous bridge where does FR pull the latest bb/sep from?
but how does it know if you have the ice or mav baseband?
or what your board configuration is for the sep?
Board config is readable
Ice or Mav (Baseband Processor) is also readable but you can tell from what device, Global devices use Mav while GSM use ICE iirc
So you can tell from that
ah ok
so what happens if you accidentally specify the wrong baseband, like what if i have a GSM iPhone X and i manually specify the mav baseband
also what version does FR pull the sep/bb from, does it pull from the latest stable release?
Well if you supply the wrong manifest then it’ll fail straight away, but if it tries to send the wrong baseband the device won’t accept it and futurerestore will fail
yes, but it can use any signed version
so could FR spit out what baseband/sep your device uses if you wanted to manually specify on your own?
also why hasn't that been implemented if its possible to do?
yes but in that case you might as well let futurerestore handle everything
with the ––latest flags
but
absolutely no point for futurerestore to tell you what files to download and then you go and manually download it
sometimes the latest isnt compatible
for instance, lets say 14.8 changed the sep/bb but 14.7.1 was still signed
yes in the 0.01% chance that happens there are loads of tools available which tell you what files you need
it isnt that rare...
apple doesnt unsign versions as soon as a new one comes
they wait a bit
so if 14.8 changed the sep/bb you couldnt use --latest-
the latest sep is compatible down to 13.4, baseband down to 14.0
I’d say that’s pretty rare given the time difference
Hi, I'm trying to use futurerestore for the first time and I have my blobs saved w/ tssaver but I don't understand why there are two .shsh2 files in the directory for each iOS version I have blobs saved for, futurerestore is asking for only one file but I have two shsh2 files to choose from, both .shsh2 files have the exact same timestamp but the file names are different
Can I just select either file to point futurerestore at?
iirc do noapnonce for a11 and lower, normal one for a12+
futurerestore should tell you anyway if you select the wrong one
Icic, well that's the thing I don't see a way to distinguish between which is noapnonce and the other...so theres the 14.5.1 folder on my tssaver and then just two shsh2 files with different hashes in the file names
I guess if futurerestore checks that I can trial and error but it would be nice to know how to tell which is which to be safer
I'd rather not risk it and just know which one to select tbh
Ah I think I figured out the difference, one shsh2 file is using the jailbroken nonce generator set by my jailbreak app and the other shsh2 file is using the nonce generator value that was probably from before the jailbreak app set the new nonce generator value
I think in this case I probably want the one that was set by my jailbreak app
yup

Can I downgrade from iOS 14.7 to 14.6 on a12+ if I’m not jailbroken
Jailbreak is required 100% of the time @timid pollen
probably a dumb question, for an a12 device do you still need a jailbreak to downgrade with known nonce + generator gotten with blobsaver? confusing information, thanks
the only reason jailbreak is needed is to set bootnonce to match the apnonce in the blob
jailbreak is not required to save blobs at all
@queen halo
okay, so even if i used blobsaver, to use the blob i need a jailbreak, correct?

I’m on 14.4.2 A12
Is this the only method to go from 14.4.2 to 14.5.1 too ? Thanks for answering
shut the fuck up bitch
yop still have time until 14.8 is unsigned. TIL: FR accepts only full paths not relative file paths or else gives error on firmwares.json, keep that in mind when you'll -s and -m
I’ve been told that since I’m on A12, I need a jb in order to futurestore
And I doubt 14.8 will still be signed by the time a jb for 14.3+ A12 will be released
if you're neither jb nor checkra1nable then you don't even think about FR
if i have blobs for various 14.x versions should i update to 15?
ik i need a jb to downgrade
Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm trying to save my blobs and for my iPhone 11 Pro Max in BlobSaver, I get this serror
for my other device saved in blobsaver it's fine
what version
blobsaver is on latest version it says
open a github issue
I'll just use TSS Saver instead
on the JB'd phone
the only reason I have blobsaver tbh is that my other device is unjailbroken so can't run TSS Saver
Anyone tried FRing with 15 sep and bb to 14?

I’m trying to save iOS 15
How do I fix this?
Ahh I know the problem
@soft turtle update the tsschecker fork in blobsaver
you need cryptics latest commit for iOS 15 suppor
@brisk narwhal @ancient wraith fix should be out soon hopefully
Alright
@zealous bridge good afternoon Tanbeer, how is iOS 15 and sep and baseband
Should be fine, RC was compatible
I mean we've seen shit break between RC and final (see: 14.3 A10(X) checkra1n)
Was that do with sep/baseband
might've been blackbird related maybe? Don't entirely know
are we sure?
…
We were sure since WWDC
iOS 15’s feature list quotes:
“iOS now offers a choice between two software update versions in the Settings app. You can update to the latest version of iOS 15 as soon as it's released for the latest features and most complete set of security updates. Or continue on iOS 14 and still get important security updates until you're ready to upgrade to the next major version."
Edit: Source
might stay signed OTA but I mean I bet that'll run into issues in the future
Sep and baseband are both available in the OTA zip
ok then
Doubt they’ll unsign IPSWs anyway

There are currently no pre-compiled beta builds for Windows.
it says macOS, ubuntu, and windows
Should work on arch
ohhh i see the beta
glibc is newer anyway
same commands as windows?
and latest SEP works with 14.2?
!t sepbb
Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP and baseband for your device:
Devices that only support up to iOS 12 (most A7 and A8 devices excluding iPad5,1 - iPad5,4): 11.3-12.5.4
A9 and A10: 14.0-14.8
A11 devices: 14.3-14.8
A12 devices and newer: 14.0-14.8
find your device
so is 15.0 sep compatible with the same versions?
It exists a method to downgrade to not signed SEP (for example, downgrade to iOS 13 in ios 14 with shsh and checkm8) ???
Or Is it expected to be able to use a SEP from an old iOS in order to use futurerestore without this limitation in the future ?
no
sep has to be signed
And Is it expected to be able to use a SEP from an old iOS in order to use futurerestore without this limitation in the future ?
But in the future with the checkm8 exploit… I listen about something like that the last year… a posible sep-rom hack
😔
Can I use future restore to downgrade a un-jailbroke device from 14.7.1 to 14.3?
iPhone XR and no I don’t.
Then no
Ah ok
You need a jailbreak and blobs to downgrade
Not without those two like I just said
Listening can be helpful
Just confirming, 1Conan's fork is the most up-to-date one?
Yes
oh so should I wait then?
@soft turtle if you know someone with an a13 device I need their help to grab some files
then I can debug a fix
I just need the 14.8 restore files
theres how
@soft turtle nevermind
the SE 2 works with 352
I need a13 files for one thats actually failing
@soft turtle if it fails with 352 thats what I need
@soft turtle looks like all iPhone13,X models fail so we are gold for this
ok I'll do that
@valid adder so just to be clear it'll create that PersonalizedBundle directory as soon as it enters recovery mode
yeh
Ok
I just realized I'll need to disable find my iphone for that and don't have time for that rn, so I'll do it later today
to restore
unless I update but I'm already on the latest version
will option clicking update work?
and selecting an ipsw to update
you aren't restoring tho just grabbing a plist
For blobsaver at least atm I don’t need update 352, I’ll just bundle the v351 tsschecker
Does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade my iPhone 8 to iOS 11.2? It's on 15 beta right now but I do have blobs
I've never used futurerestore before so any help is appreciated
yeh 351 is safe
but yah I still need test when u have time
@storm egret you can't even go below 14.3 on a11
sep
Fixed it now in v3.0.3
Is the public release version of iOS 15’s sep and baseband compatible with iOS 14 for downgrading later on?
please cant understand
@rustic blaze shsh.host clearly isn't updated with my iOS 15 fix
the common issues states that you need to use 1conan tsschecker
you are using it wrong
and probably still the wrong one
i am talking of tss checker web site
like we said multiple times its not updated to work for 15
when would ios 14.8 get unsigned?
ios 14.7.1 just got unsigned
asking because I would like to restore to 14.5.1 with 14.8 sep, asap and at the right time.
next year @tidal crane
14.8 will get unsigned in about 3-4 weeks.
You’ll receive security updates but they won’t be a 14.8.x Update rather they’ll be a patch. And they won’t require for iOS 14.8 to be signed
Is ios 14.3 sep/bb compatible with that of ios 15? Would like to save blobs for it for future upgrade?
iOS 15 RC is compatible but I don’t know about public release
pretty sure 14.8 is the security patch and it will remain signed for the next year
u fucking suck
is ios 15's sep compatible with 14.4.2
Hi everyone
I’m trying to futurerestore from iOS 14.7.1 to 14.5.1 on an iPhone X, and I’m using macOS
Futurerestore says the SEP firmware is not being signed at the moment
(While trying the latest SEP and BB)
Then I try with the iOS 14.8 SEP manually, but when it asks me to give him the BuildManifest file, I can’t find it, nor can the telegram jailbreak bot
Currently on unc0ver and wanting to futurerestore upgrade to 14.5.1...in looking at the flags in futurerestore I see this one:
-u, --update
Update instead of erase install (requires appropriate APTicket)
DO NOT use this parameter, if you update from jailbroken firmware!
As you can see it says DO NOT use this if you update from jailbroken firmware...but my question is...since I can't use this while futurerestoring an already jailbroken phone does that mean futurerestore defaults to wiping my phone completely and upgrading to 14.5.1 or does it preserve data somehow since I'm already jailbroken?
So I guess just confirming if you're already jailbroken you're forced to erase/wipe install to upgrade w/ future restore?
Would it be better to just remove my unc0ver JB w/ Restore RootFS and then use the -u option if I don't want to fully wipe to upgrade?
Tried right now but still fails with "SEP firmware is NOT being signed!"
You use —latest-sep&baseband ? Try it with the 14.8 SEP/Baseband files
What about SEP / Baseband from iOS 15 Beta?
Okay no. Doesn't work either. Still "SEP firmware is NOT being signed!".
They should be signed, are you sure you’re using the correct manifest
As for the manifest, I took it from the main dir of the ipsw. Called "BuildManifest.plist"
So, restoring to 14.5.1 from 14.8 using 14.8 SEP / Baseband for iPhone X (10,6) results in this error:
ERROR: can't locate 'psi_ram.bin' in 'C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff000000022'
Baseband: ✓ Mav17-6.71.01.Release.bbfw
SEP: sep-firmware.d221.RELEASE.im4p
Latest SEP / Baseband option doesn't work. So I'm really unable to downgrade.
what’s the user called, does it have non-English letters
So idk why but it is looking for and user called GIANMA~1 while the user is "Gianmarco"
I know. It didn't make sense to me either so
As in
Your sentence made no sense
You said the user is called something while the user is called something else
So. The log inside FutureRestore looks for this file.
The problem is that my User on Windows is called "Gianmarco".
While on the log (inside FutureRestore) he is looking for that file NOT inside the "Gianmarco" folder, but inside the "GIANMA~1"
Basically a user that doesn't exist
I hope you got me bro
Can you open C:\Users in File Explorer and show me what’s there
Yup. That is right. I mean, during the whole process he's looking in the right directory. Nearly the very end of the process he's looking for this psi_ram.bin file in a TEMP folder inside a User directory that doesn't exist.
Give me a sec.
Look:
ERROR: can't locate 'psi_ram.bin' in 'C:\Users\GIANMA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff000000562'
ERROR: Unable to send baseband data
ERROR: Unable to successfully restore device
GIANMA~1
While the user is Gianmarco.
Don't get it..
But, if I do paste that "address" inside File Explorer it successfully takes me into the Gianmarco directory

):
fuck GIANMA~1
yup
Anyways just fyi: my boardConfig is D221AP.
Correctly setted nonce to the one in the blob.
I used Baseband / SEP from 14.8.
Baseband: Mav17-6.71.01.Release.bbfw
SEP: sep-firmware.d221.RELEASE.im4p
BuildManifest: BuildManifest.plist
So everything should be as normal, but still.
Wish I could use latest SEP / Baseband but FutureRestore says they're not signed (while they are).
Now flashing clean 14.8. Hope this can be sorted out tho.
If I had a shsh2 blob saved with a APNounce, and now I have a different APNounce, will that blob still be usable?
same issue.
okay so i'm not the only one. also you missing that file?
no
i got the sep unsigned issue
@vagrant sonnet can u send ur sep and baseband files please
mine won't work for some reason.
i'll try it with yours
I think you guys are using futurerestore with the old tsschecker that doesn’t support iOS 15 @celest basalt @vagrant sonnet
i'm not going to 15 though...
are you specifying 15 sep/baseband
I used 14.8 SEP / Baseband for going from 14.8 to 14.5.1
for me it says this 😦
this**
no macOS here. Is ubuntu live installation good?
yes
Aight will probably try tomorrow.
Thanks 🙂
w
Is this good? @zealous bridge
yes
yea i got fucked up at that too lol
anyways @celest basalt did you save blobs for which iOS version?
also, tsschecker?
195 isn't prehistoric?
this is 189
look! same error as me lol
Hmm
Quite concerning if both of you got the same error, but I haven’t seen anything else reported
cause we are the first reporting that xD
nah jk i think maybe ios 15 sep / baseband dont work no more?
for <=ios 14.8
i'll try with 194
are you using iOS 15 sep/baseband
!t futurerestore
futurerestore allows you to upgrade/downgrade/restore to unsigned iOS versions if you meet certain requirements.

same error btw?
yes
I don’t think baseband is incompat, but futurerestore can’t find a file for some reason
omg i got the black screen issue again
luckily i'm a professional iPX dfu enterer

Yes regardless of the baseband/SEP (15.0 / 14.8) I cant restore.
For 15.0 its an issue where FutureRestore complains about SEP not being signed.
For 14.8 it’s the error about the missing file.
15.0 doesn’t work because of the tsschecker being outdated
(you’re using 194 which is outdated)
14.8 no idea why that’s happening
2.0.0 same error
So maybe new version can work with 15 SEP?
it should
Did you try @celest basalt ?
the RC was compatible
i'll try
I tried that also with 194 but obv doesnt work
Let us know
Yeah it won’t work
U mean the beta futurerestore?
yes
Okok👌🏻
ay
post log
enable ––debug and send again please
which is the link in the tag…
Yea yea just saying lol.
I mean even with fixes , no luck
@celest basalt can you try with 14.8 SEP on 2.0?
uh
im going to 15.0 rn
Do you need the blobs of your current software version to use futurestore?
no
I never updated tsschecker tho
@soft turtle I temporarily reverted the airtag commit, I'll fix it when I get the files, you can update blobsaver to 356
@celest basalt uggh tsschecker is now somehow broken for d221ap
I need you do some things for me to be able to fix it
uhhh sure
@celest basalt do the thing in the message link
I can just unplug instead of updating right?
yep
basically unplug as soon as you see the folder in tmp
and copy the folder to not tmp
i save it with the tsschecker from 1conan from this link
The personalized folder is created during the restore right? Cause I dont have it in tmp
i save my blobs from 15.0 for an iPhoneXs works fine
yes it should happen around the time it enters recovery @full osprey
Alrighty, lastly should I reboot into stock first?
don't think it matters
bet gonna start rn
am i able to use future restore on non-jailbroken devices?
nope
well rip
shit it has to download 15 real quick
the one requirement is the device's apnonce needs to match the apnonce in your blob @wicked ibex
about 6 min
unless you are god you need a jailbreak
lol my bad I just realized you explained everything and I asked all the same qs
we all have been saying not to update for years man lol @wicked ibex
yea but i mean all i use is altstore but even that broke
well, hopefully it gets fixed soon
@full osprey no problem its a stupid system so its hard to understand
nonce collision
a7 moment
@full osprey im so sorry to do this but it has to be 14.8
because a13 already works on 15
am i able to future restore? im unjailbroken on ios 14.7.1, iphone 11, i have 14.4.1 and 14.5 blobs saved
jailbreak has always been a requirement to utilize blobs @sand coral
fudge really
yes really
correct
💔
guess you need stock
ik
Yeah, ill restore rootfs
not sure why jailbreak would prevent apple restore
nope still doing it
I legit cannot restore
even with dfu
this shit
ill try to rejb then succession
nextdns?
Ill try a diff network

what im checking for?
Succession froze after downloading and “preparing”
idk how to fix it lol
@valid adder i can do it with a 6s if u need
needs to be d221ap because thats what is broken lol @celest basalt
u aren't restoring
just getting the tss request
I tried restoring , succession, restoring rootfs and restoring , erasing all contents and settings
nothing worked, sorry fam
unless I used the wrong succession maybe?
okay i'll do it tonight or tomorrow
@valid adder can i use idevicerestore?
also do i just need 15.0 cuz i have that downloaded already
nooooo
bruh
we aren't restoring
we are getting an official apple tssrequest
thats the entire point
yeah but i need to restore with itunes
if i restore can i use the 15.0 ipsw then cancel
with finder
thats the entire point, finder
kk
did you try erase content and settings from your device
yes
its probably this
yeah but a dfu restore not working?
nope, gave the same error
yeah i know that but i don’t think that relies on snapshots
which is why I thought it was network like yall was saying but I tried 2 networks, 2 cables
Lol I can record it all if anyone wants to see
it's probably finder yeah
Could it be due to monterey?
fr?
yeah
lemme put in on gdrive rn
it'll be there in like 2-3 minutes
uploading
@valid adder ok
lmk if it's good
seems that the request/response are there
seems corrupt
huh
rsync 💪
gonna use gdrive ig
Hey!
If I want to downgrade from 14.7.1 to 14.5.1, can I still do it?
Or is it too late?
you need blobs and a jailbreak to downgrade
nothing has changed
So I don’t have to do anything in the sep and bb section on future restore?
use latest
Okay, thx
dont manually specify
Just one last question, can I use the -upgrade option if I’m downgrading? (I don’t want to lose my data)
and use beta futurerestore
Why the beta?
I highly doubt update works for downgrade
Ohh… okay thx
because beta works better in most cases
Okay, I’ll install it
Thank you for your help
can I downgrade from 14.7.x to 14.5 using checkrain and 14.5 blobs?
yep
Can I restore a 14.7.1 backup on 14.5.1?
Nope
Save your backup on PC, restore it through iTunes when on 14.5.1
You can’t use a backup from a higher iOS version
Yes
F
But I didn’t have a backup back then🥲
I’m lost now
I personally went from 15.0 to 14.8 and couldn’t restore my iCloud backup
It won’t work for 14.5 and below tho
Yeah ofc this won’t work
iCloud backup won’t work, iTunes will
So if I future restore, I won’t lose ma data right?
(If I can restore with a backup)
Yes
Okayy thank you!
anyways did we understand why d221ap fails? tsschecker?
@vagrant sonnet no idea
): hopefully it can be sorted out soon
@vagrant sonnet figured it out but not how to fix it
did u not use the beta one
this is why someone should fork succession (😉)
@celest basalt wait tsschecker works fine idk why it failed for your x
@vagrant sonnet turns out its not broken so just a glitch
I have Iphone 11 pro max 13.5, Can I use futurerestore to update to 14.2 ( Also I have the blobs ) ?
the restore should work
well it happened to me and @celest basalt
So basically the whole procedure works but there’s somewhere a glitch which prevents it from finishing?
weird cause 15.0 says sep is not signed
while here says it’s signed lol
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\ and C:\Temp u mean?
and sorry i didn’t see your message :p
yes
not all
just firmwares.json and futurerestore folder in temp
oh wait
windows version wont work with iOS 15 sep
F
I think this is D221AP with latest SEP on beta futurerestore on Linux
yep
aight will try with live ubuntu installation, since I don't have dual boot
make sure it says 242 before you restore
👌 . Noob question: Can i use this futurerestore in the FutureRestore GUI app?
like manually selecting futurerestore-v2.0.0-test
possibly with the beta
yea sure
let me check
yep
@vagrant sonnet so go to settings and enable beta, then click download
it will download the beta
noice
not for Windows tho, says can't find a proper beta asset for my OS
so only Linux ig
lol i feel you tbh
libimobiledevice api updated, its just hard to figure out on windows
so I can't future restore right now if I'm on windows?
@rocky light you would have to manually specify 14.8 sep bb
which device do u have
n66ap or n66map
1 min
thats something you can't just forget
N66mAP
you need it when saving blobs lol
anyways i did try this one, but fails with the missing file. Don't know if it's the iPhone X, Windows or FutureRestore (194)
for what? Im sry I'm just a noob here
but it saves automatically
Im saying if manually
so my blobs are usless?
these are from 14.8?
yep
yuh
--sep sep-firmware.n66m.RELEASE.im4p --sep-manifest BuildManifest.plist --baseband Mav13-8.80.01.Release.bbfw --baseband-manifest BuildManifest.plist
I sent the correct files no need to worry
oh, I have the gui futurerestore
@vagrant sonnet whats your computer username
does the gui work?
