tbh i dont see why the problems with editing backups were ever inherently bad... especially with restores between similar version... it doesnt store anything about the OS itself, which is what gets updated. i mean, sure, there could be a change on the way the data get restored back to the device or something but I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone’s entire backup get fucked from just editing one line, only just with using the phone after the backup restore

I think I identified the problem where latest flags don't work for devices with multiple boardconfigs (e.g. iPhone8,4 / SE), should be an easy fix
but there's still a separate issue where they don't work on windows at all, which I'm going to look into after fixing the first issue (cause SE is my only testing device)
