I’m unable to format e drive in usb after flashing odysseyra1n

Get into cmd (admin)
diskpart
list disk
select disk x (x corresponding to your usb drive)
clean

list volume
select volume x (x corresponding to your usb drive, as you've cleaned it the volume should show as "Unusable")
create partition primary
format fs=ntfs quick (quick is optional, it makes formatting faster at more risk of recovering formatted data)
assign (run this if the drive does not show up after the format command)

what this does is wipe everything off USB (including the write protection), creates a new partition on the USB, and format it as NTFS

Method 1:
In Rufus, select "Non-bootable" under Boot selection.
Click Start and confirm data deletion
Done!

Method 2:
Open Windows Terminal, Powershell or Command Prompt
Run diskpart
Run list disk
Run select disk # with # being your USB drive
Run clean
Press Windows Key + X, then press K (or open Disk Management from the Start Menu)
Your USB will show as "unallocated," right click and select new simple volume.
Continue through the prompts by pressing Next, the default options are fine for 99% of people
Done!

The ora1n script is a bootstrapper for procursus

So it can't bootstrap an already bootstrapped device

to be fair only A11 is "preliminary" because no passcode and biometrics but that's unlikely to be fixed anytime soon because it would need a new SEP exploit

otherwise, 14.0-14.8.1 is all covered (though need to enable untested for 14.6+)

they're still working on it, all that is public is pongoOS which is still receiving occasional commits but probably more is happening behind the scenes

I think the main issue is the Signed System Volume on iOS 15, which will require major changes to keep compatibility with existing tweaks AND with app based jailbreaks which can't afford to do the same patches checkra1n can

Passing the usb isn't enough, checkra1n requires the entire usb controller and entire usb driver which vms can't do.
