Make sure you are using the latest version of checkra1n, and enable allow untested version in the options. A11 users on ios 14+ will also need to enable skip a11 bpr.

Stuck on checking for device, or device won't go info dfu?
Make sure you're using a [usb-a to lightning cable](#bot-commands message) (as well as an adapter if needed). Use a pc with an intel cpu if possible, and don't use a VM.

Personally uninstall Cr4shed! It’s more aggro than it’s worth. iOS14 is riddled with jetsam errors. If you don’t see them, they won’t bother you

Nobody knows for sure, but if I had to guess, I would say no. I think we'll get software-based jailbreaks for all iOS versions that support A11 devices long before we get another hardware exploit that can take care of the SEP. I don't know this for sure, though.

When using checkra1n on the iPhone 8/X running iOS 14 you will not be able to use any SEP features such as:

• Passcode
• Touch ID/Face ID
• Apple Pay

When in a jailbroken state you can use BioProtect XS to protect your apps with Touch ID/Face ID and lockdown beta to use a fake passcode, but this is not real security, as the protection will disappear if someone simply reboots your phone.

When checkra1n briefly didn't work on my Mac because of some MobileDeviceSupport issue I tried checkn1x oder odysseyra1n on a Linux VM, but to no avail. I had too much trouble with the USB passthrough and drivers.

So if you have a Mac, use checkra1n, if not, boot one of the above from a stick, it'll be easier imho.

Even though nothing is showing in the storage, the device knows that an OTA is present (or at least the info about the OTA rather than the OTA itself).
The only fix I know is to actually start the OTA update, start the download and as soon as it has finished downloading (MUST KEEP PHONE DISPLAY OPEN CONTINUALLY AND WATCH THE DOWNLOAD), hard reboot, THEN it will show up in iPhone Storage and THEN you can delete it to be able to JB successfully.
TIMING IS CRITICAL - DO NOT LET THE OTA UPDATE START INSTALLING

Open the terminal app on your computer
Ensure that your computer is trusted by your device
Install “homebrew” by pasting and executing the following command:

Install “iproxy” by pasting and executing the following command:

That shouldn't matter - you use whatever you can to get the loader on the device (which you have) - so that means you must be jailbroken.
Now, don't open the loader and follow the instructions. Odysseyra1n supports all devices that checkra1n does.

Make sure you are using the latest version of checkra1n, and enable allow untested version in the options. A11 users on ios 14+ will also need to enable skip a11 bpr.

Stuck on checking for device, or device won't go info dfu?
Make sure you're using a [usb-a to lightning cable](#bot-commands message) (as well as an adapter if needed). Use a pc with an intel cpu if possible, and don't use a VM.
