checkra1n supports A7-A11 devices on iOS 12.0-14.8. However, A11 users on 14.0-14.8 cannot use a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, nor Apple Pay. checkra1n also requires macOS or Linux - for Windows, see Odysseyn1x.

Substrate is broken for some users on 14.6 and higher and you may experience respring loops. It's recommended to use Odysseyra1n instead, libhooker does not suffer from this issue.

There is no jailbreak for A12+ devices (iPhone XR/XS and later) on 14.4+.
There is no jailbreak for A8X - A11 devices (iPhone 6S - iPhone 8/X) on 14.4+ without a computer (see: checkra1n).
There is no jailbreak for iOS 15.

u gotta flash ios 14.8 ipws file with your device in dfu mode, also just make a backup and open the info.plist file of your backup and change the value from 15.0 to 14.8

I've had my jailbreak Via Checkra1n for a little more than a month without encountering this..

What do i do now?

Restore rootfs if you are jailbroken
Jailbreak with checkra1n
2a) Do NOT install Cydia from the checkra1n app, if you want it install "Cydia Installer" in Sileo
Press quit in checkra1n then run "odysseyra1n" on your pc inside odysseyn1x, or run this Shortcut on your device
Update everything in sileo

1- yes checkra1n is good
2-pros: jailbreak any version (ios 15 doesn’t work ‘yet’). It’s almost perfect, you rarely get any freezes or bugs. Cons: it’s semi-tethered, you need to have a pc in order to jailbreak. It doesn’t work on a12 and newer. A11 devices aren’t fully compatible and you can’t have a passcode with these devices (iphone x and iphone 8/plus) 3- yeah you can migrate to another jailbreak tool (and you can even do it without restoring rootfs if you have the same bootstrap, so if you use procursus (libhooker, Odysseyra1n…) you can jailbreak with taurine or odyssey without resorting rootfs, but you can’t use unc0ver in this case or you’ll have to restore rootfs first)

Make a backup with iTunes, so you can do a full unjailbroken iTunes restore if you want to completely wipe jailbreak artifacts from your phone. In most cases you won’t need it though; restoring rootfs should be sufficient to unjailbreak.

iCloud sync is a good idea to make sure you don’t lose data.

checkra1n supports A7-A11 devices on iOS 12.0-14.8. However, A11 users on 14.0-14.8 cannot use a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, nor Apple Pay. checkra1n also requires macOS or Linux - for Windows, see Odysseyn1x.

Substrate Safe Mode is broken for some users on 14.6 and higher and you may experience respring loops. It's recommended to use Odysseyra1n instead, Sileo Safe Mode does not suffer from this issue.

To revert the jailbreak on your device, follow the steps below.

unc0ver
Reboot the device then open unc0ver. Tap the gear icon and enable the "Restore RootFS" toggle, then tap "Restore RootFS" at the main screen.

Chimera/Odyssey/Taurine
Reboot, open Chimera/Odyssey/Taurine, toggle on "Restore RootFS", then tap "Jailbreak".

checkra1n/odysseyra1n
Open the checkra1n app on your home screen and tap "Restore System".
If the icon has disappeared or you get "Restore Error: General", reboot and re-jailbreak.

If the above methods didn't work, see !t rootfscli for more options.

Put the flash drive at the top of your boot order in the bios

I’m not sure why it would’ve changed position but I’ll try that. I’m not sure how to switch it though
