DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode is a mode which allows a device in any condition to be restored to a fresh version of iOS (not to be confused with Recovery Mode). You cannot keep data when restoring via DFU and you can only restore to a signed version.

To restore via DFU:

• Enter DFU Mode
• Once you enter DFU, the device should show a black screen.
• Connect the device to a Mac/PC and open Finder/iTunes.
• On the prompt that says "A device has been connected in recovery mode and needs to be restored" press "Restore iPhone" then "Restore and Update.”

I'm trying to rejailbreak my phone using checkra1n 0.12.4 on my iPhone 7 (iOS 14.4.2), but every time checkra1n boots, it gets stuck and unjailbreaks. The computer will say "Error Code -77" and my phone will be in a long startup sequence that takes 5 minutes.
The thing is, I don't have the passcode enabled on my phone, so I shouldn't be getting Error Code -77.
It's like it almost boots up jailbroken, but then it stops and it unjailbreaks itself.
I am using the correct USB ports too.

4. Update everything in sileo
5. Install libhooker

Well I was trying to install Sileo but I need to restore and the error code thing appeared. I turned the phone off then re jaikbroke and the loader didn’t appear so I resprung(if that’s the correct word in tense). And changing language does the same sort of thing.

So I am wondering wether I should update or not. I own an iPhone XR and am currently running iOS 12.4 and am jailbroken but more and more games are becoming incompatible with my iOS and so I’m thinking about updating.
My problem is that I love my jailbreak and as far as I can tell XR is incompatible with checkra1n 14.7.1 jailbreak.
My question is wether I should update and wait for checkra1n or another jailbreak to become compatible with the XR???

How to use Odysseyra1n TLDR:

1. Restore rootfs if you are jailbroken
2. Jailbreak with checkra1n
   2a) Do NOT install Cydia from the checkra1n app, if you want it install "Cydia Installer" in Sileo
3. Press quit in checkra1n then run "odysseyra1n" on your pc inside odysseyn1x, or run this Shortcut on your device
4. Update everything in sileo
5. Install libhooker
6. You're done, have fun.
