To restore via DFU:

• Enter DFU Mode
• Once you enter DFU, the device should show a black screen.
• Connect the device to a Mac/PC and open Finder/iTunes.
• On the prompt that says "A device has been connected in recovery mode and needs to be restored" press "Restore iPhone" then "Restore and Update.”

Hi all, I've got 15PM on 17.0 and had no issues with it, but recently installed roothide boostrap and now when I try backing up my phone via iTunes I get a "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected" error.
I've also had an issue where icons like messages and settings go funky whenever I restart my phone and I have to respring for them to work.

I have tried restarting my phone, using a different cable/USB port etc but not having any luck. The option to uninstall Bootstrap is also greyed out. Is anyone able to help?

As for the itunes, ive never heard that before related to jailbreaking, but ive been focused on other stuff for a while. someone had this issue not related to jailbreaking, he said:
For anyone else who may be struggling with this; After days of wasted time, I finally solved it myself. I had to delete all iPhone old backups from within the Finder, and then start a fresh one. This was the only thing that fixed it. I suspect this has something to do with partial backups being incompatible with versions made on Mojave vs Catalina. It seems to have killed the old ones in the change over, but there's no notice of it.

Not sure if you recently updated your mac. also try with different usb ports as one may be failing

also try if backing up while your phone is jailbroken vs unjailbroken changes anything
