If you're jailbroken, you can also install the OTADisabler tweak instead, but note that it is harder to remove while unjailbroken.

Here’s what I did exactly:

Just have them both open before you start the update, when it boots to setup deny everything/set up later then first thing you do on Home Screen is switcher to TrollStore, don’t even click it. Install Tips as Persistence, Immediately after switch to Tips, Refresh App Registrations

You need tips and TS running in background so you can switch to them. I would recommend having tips as your persistence helper. Whatever your persistence helper is needs to be open in the background. If it isn’t tips then tips doesn’t need to be open

Set it beforehand, but it’s not gonna be able to stay. The reason this works is because using switcher to open TS doesn’t trigger the app verification, but opening from Home Screen by tapping app DOES trigger it. So just DO NOT tap the app icon, even once. Just switch right to it and install persistence immediately

After that it will stay and you can switcher to tips, refresh apps and then you can do whatever you want and it’ll be saved and secure even on reboot

Repeat: won’t need to. Staying on 17.0 or 16.6 for trollstore compatibility is the same thing as staying on 16.1.2 for mdc. There’s no reason to update bc what problems would occur which would need them to update to a version where trollstore isn’t compatible??
