i have an iphone 7 gsm (9,3) with 15.3.1. it is not jailbroken (obviously). there are some applications on the device that i want to get their unencrypted ipa. i cannot future restore or really do anything because i risk deleting the apps. I also cant update them, theres something really specific about the exact version (rumered spyware that i want to decompile and investigate). i am aware of the bootrom exploit chechm8 and how the iphone 7 is vulnerable. however it is not a full jailbreak. is it possible use chechm8 to get root ssh to the device and extract the ipa or would i need to wait for a jailbreak to be developed for ios 15. is it realistic to wait around for a jailbreak anytime soon?

Hi I'm having issues syncing my iPhone with iTunes, it gives me an error "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone", it then asks me to restore to factory settings and I'd honestly rather gouge my eyes out. For context I've been jailbreaking the same iPhone 8 for about 4 years now and I've used several different jailbreaks/exploits throughout several different iOS's, beginning all the way from good old iOS 11. Just last night I was finally able to delayOTA from 14.7.1 to 15.1, leaving behind my checkra1n jailbreak. Normally I'm very thorough about cleaning up files before making big moves like this, but this time I might have half assed it, although I still don't think I left anything major that would cause this issue. I've tried just about every quick fix that you can find online and I've got nothing. I don't have a backup at the moment and all I really have left to go on is a shit load of crash logs/dumps that I don't understand. I need someone's experience cause Idk what I'm doing.

So my goal is to be able to sync up to iTunes and create a backup there. I could just forget about it and keep using my phone, because it still works fine, but I know it'll just become a problem again at some point so I want to deal with it now. I would really prefer NOT to have to backup to a 3rd party program and restore from backup, but if that turns out to be the only solution, oh well.

I will PayPal $20 USD to whoever comes up with a working solution, as long as I'm able to properly sync/backup to iTunes and stay on 15.1. I'm willing to pay more $ if I take up too much of your time. Don't judge me, I'm exhausted and this has been driving me nuts for 10 hours straight (not exaggerating). I've got lots more information that might help narrow it down, but I don't know what's helpful and what's not. I can provide screenshots, but I'm really fuckin tired and would rather screenshare in a call if that's cool with whoever. Thanks.

well, two decent third party programs i know of are anytrans and imazing which can create backups that are essentially the same as ones created by itunes. if those programs can read your device fine, it's probably just itunes or its support software needing to be reinstalled or require some sort of update

I have already successfully made the same change to iPad pro 2nd gen and iPhone 8+ so I know the steps to follow. All was smooth and I double checked the update offered via Dallas was 15.1 and restore rootfs using unc0ver 8.0.2 was fine.

The 15.1 update downloaded, verified and rebooted to the apple icon and update progress bar as usual but after about 5mins I noticed the iPad was showing the restore picture to connect it to iTunes

Of course itunes wants to restore or update to 15.3.1 which I have declined.

I tried kicking the ipad out of restore using 3Tools and Riboot but it always boots back into it.

I tried using the repair tool in R*iboot and downloading 15.1 from ipsw.me but it gives me SHSH error presumably because 15.1 isn't being signed anymore.

Much appreciate any ideas from those here more knowledgeable than me!

Tips to increase success rate

• Update to the latest Chimera version (ideally 1.6.4 or later)

• Wait 60 seconds before jailbreaking after a reboot/failed attempt
• Turn low power mode off
• Put your device in front of an air conditioner or fan

I delay OTA’d to 15.1 from 14.8 (iPhone11Pro) and my@battery health is spinning on stock 15.1. Before updating I rootFS restored 14.8 twice then erased all content and settings (battery health was spinning here still) I then rejailbroke 14.8 to supervise device then delayed to 15.1. It was a success but my battery health is still spinning on 15.1 (supervised) any ideas ? I was thinking of trying to recalibrate the battery again like what got introduced in 14.5 but I wouldn’t know how to do that

I have an iPhone XR running iOS 14.4 using unc0ver + fugu14
Whenever I try to play BitLife, my phone crashes, reboots and then needs to be re-jailbroken. I’ve done some looking and I believe it’s a jetsam limit exceeded error. People on the subreddit recommended using [[Fix Random Resprings]], but I’m currently using [[MyBloxx]] and I can’t use both at the same time. I’ve also tried most if not all of the general fixes or workarounds such as, but not limited to, deleting and reinstalling the game.
I can’t figure out how to edit the jetsam limit with MyBloxx, so any and all help in trying to resolve my issue would be greatly appreciated.

TLDR:
Phone crashes when trying to play BitLife.
Pretty sure it’s a jetsam limit error.
Not sure how to change it using MyBloxx.
Tried most if not all general fixes.
Want to test changing jetsam limit without removing MyBloxx.

It’s also the only app that has this issue.

What's a blob?
It is a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware.
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?
They can be used in a program called futurerestore to restore to a firmware in which the SEP/Baseband is compatible. To check SEP/Baseband compatibility, check /tag sepbb.

Make sure to not use misleading sites.

Regardless of SEP/Baseband compatibility, any/all blobs should be saved for future downgrading abilities.

Can I save them now?
Of course. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware, because they can only be saved for versions that are currently signed.There is one exception to this: if you are jailbroken and Apple has unsigned the version you're currently on, you may save onboard blobs for that version.

Hey everyone, I have an i13 on iOS 15.1. PokemonGo is still detecting jailbreak garbage. Is there a way for me to nuke the phone to get rid of it without updating (is this what "Erase all Content and Settings" is for)? Is it possible for me to fix this problem?
