I have a phone that is jailbroken
So I had altstore and it worked just fine. Then one day I accidentally told reprovision to resign it which I didn’t want to wait for so I swiped out of the app thinking it would cancel. But instead altstore disappeared everywhere. Even searching wouldn’t show it and it wasn’t showing in reprovision. But the profile was still installed and it showed as an app in settings. So I deleted my profile and I’m trying to install it again but it just either gives me fail message or doesn’t install in general
Now it installed again but it’s still being hidden from me

also, NVRAM isn’t the place it needs to be removed from, that would only contain the apnonce generator at most which won’t interfere with any apps - it’s your device’s storage (the user data partition, /var) that still contains traces of jailbreak configuration files
even though they’re completely harmless/inactive, some apps will still detect their presence

the rootfs was probably restored when you removed the jailbreak, but you may be able to manually delete the files in /var in a backup manually taken with idevicebackup
although first you should try doing an iCloud backup (because that will keep less jailbreak files than iTunes/idevicebackup) and then restoring with idevicerestore --erase and restoring that backup
that may stop some (not all) apps from detecting JB

I have an iPhone 7 on iOS 13. I’d like to restore rootfs so I can update to 14, but unfortunately the certificate (idk the term) for uncover expired so I cannot get into it. I don’t have access to a Windows machine either (I used altstore to side load in the first place, but later switched to Linux), but I have access to a Linux machine and a Mac. Is there a way to resign uncover so I can restore rootfs, or is there something else I should do?
