How to fix this error:
Unable to check for update. An error occurred while checking for a software update.
Method 1 (easiest): Install OTAEnabler.

Method 2: Open unc0ver, tap the gear icon, turn OFF "Disable OTA updates", tap Done, tap the Jailbreak button.

If you're still having issues make sure you didn't disable the OTA daemon in iCleaner and you don't have the tvOS/watchOS beta profile. If you are still having issues, you may need to DFU restore.

Have you tried "RestoreRootFS"? If you have and it is still not working, I recommend you try using Taurine. I use it personally and I like the package manager "Sileo" than unc0ver's "Cydia".

Also, try reinstalling Cydia in the settings of "unc0ver" to see if that will help as well.

Restarting your device may temporairly disable it(if your jailbreak's tethered or semi tethered), but it won't uninstall unless you restore via dfu or some other method, if your using an untethered jailbreak no changes occur on restart

I was mainly interested in getting a gen 8 iPad for use with video game emulators. I know Android is an option there too but Android's Bluetooth support is miserable, and widescreen is very bad for emulation

So the apps probably wouldn't be much of an issue unless third-party apps trigger a detect too?

if your only using the device for emulation, you won't have any problems

hello, just got a new apple watch for my bday and realize i cant even use it... i got the series 6 apple watch and im on 13.3 jailbreak. Any help? I wouldnt mind updating to ios 14 if that needs to happen as log as i keep jailbreak

WTF Is a blob?

Blobs are usually used by iTunes when you restore. iTunes gets it directly from the apple servers. However, we can save them for later and use futurerestore to up/downgrade even after the iOS version is unsigned To give an analogy, your device wants apple's signature whenever it restores. A blob is a piece of paper with Apple's signature that you give to your device. There are a few requirements that must be met to use blobs:

1. You have blobs for the version you are going to (your current iOS version doesn't matter here, as long as you can set nonce)

2. You are jailbroken (or have a noncesetter)

3. The SEPOS of the version you are going to is compatible with any currently signed SEPOS (reddit.com/r/iosDowngrade usually has info on this)

What is SEPOS?

SEPOS is the operating system used on a chip called the SEP, or Secure Enclave Processor. It controls biometrics(FaceID/TouchID) as well as Apple Pay.
