when you authenticate on the Lock Screen, everything else still stays in a suspended state until you dismiss the cover sheet. so for example, the open app (if there is one) stays on its snapshot that you’d usually see in the switcher

if you have the home bar, you can just barely nudge the cover sheet up (a little bit past the affordance area) in order to resume everything, even though the cover sheet goes right back to being on top

so the dismiss gesture clearly does something to un-suspend everything

now here’s my question

can I resume everything without using the gesture

in other words, can I authenticate and unlock, but not dismiss the cover sheet?
