I bought a cheap ipad to tether with and got it with the chess one, and it's been running solid for about 6 months now without having to reinject. I always get updates from discord about how this or that ios version is losing support or something.

I was able to save the blobs successfully. Thank you @hearty heron for your help. I also found that when I had the iPhone in DFU iTunes opened and I was curious if the restore and update would be different on iTunes 11. It said it would install iOS 6.1.3, that is not signed by Apple anymore for my iPhone! Maybe this is an alternative for those who don’t have blobs.

I am going to try this with my other iPhone and see what happens.

Hey all. I got an iPhone 4 A1334 (GSM). I'm trying to open it and recover data from when this phone was my primary.

It has lost all track of time and went to unix epoch.

Bully for me - Phone's disabled for 26 million minutes.
Bully for me x2 - Don't know the alphanumeric password
Bully for me x3 - The power button is not registering. No hardware entry to DFU for me.

So far, I've tried iTunes and 3 tools, but no dice. All I care about is retreiving data, but seeing as how it cant even read it, that's a problem.

I'm using redsn0w's DFU IPSW creator to get a DFU image to restore to, but have no way to restore through iTunes, so now I am tempted to restore through redsn0w itself, but I fear that it may fuck things up. (pic incl. below)

Please advise me before I do something irreversible. Thanks for your interest if you read this far :P)

Or should I try the "select IPSW" button? or "Pwned DFU"?

I'm quite new to legacy jailbreaking, any advice would be really helpful.
