you can use ota blobs to upgrade using OTA-DOWNGRADER but as far as I know you need to be jailbroken to do so

yeah because you can't upgrade/downgrade without going into pwnDFU mode and for 32-bit devices it's difficult to do without a jailbreak

Hi there,
I've been scratching my head at this problem, and I've come here to get at least something of a conclusive answer.
I've been attempting to install Pheonix on my iPad mini (gen 1) running iOS 9.3.5 - however - the wiki specifies that I need Altdeploy and a mac.
I run both windows and linux. Never owned a mac.

What should I do in this case? Is there a workaround for sideloading the app onto my device or am I better off shooting fairies from 12 miles away with a BB gun?

I'm a tad curious about the altserver death thing. What happened? I Heard impactor got nuked since apple's signing method is different now, but altserver seems to still be updated often. Did apple kill free account signings on anything other than Xcode?
