Hey, I'm trying to bring back to life an old iPad 4 which was heavily tweaked and is now suffering great slowdowns because of it, as it is on iOS 9.0.2 I was thinking of using coolstar's Semi-Restore to automatically restore the device and jailbreak (I was able to find Pangu9 on archive.org but I'm unable to find iLEX RAT so Semi-Restore is the only option).

When I download semi-restore and try to open it it just won't run, I've tested on Windows 10, Windows 7 and Ubuntu, trying with many versions of iTunes installed, can anyone help?

I know I'm talking about old software but I still have hope 😭

Semi restore won’t restore anything, it will just reset all settings, uninstall all tweaks and delete all apps/data. You’ll still be jailbroken

iPad 4 is compatible with Vieux (the ota downgrader), and can go to 8.4.1.
No idea if it’s reliable for that model, no one ever asked before.

If it’s just tweaks that are slowing down your iPad, removing Cydia Substrate (which will remove pretty much all tweaks) should fix it

You need to be in pwned dfu using redsn0w, shift click on restore in itunes then it will restore, you need to download the official ipsw from apple as well to boot it using redsn0w, once it’s done restoring, select the official ipsw and go click on just boot tethered. iPod should be in recovery, just put it in dfu mode. Now it’s booting.

Hello there, copying this from the subreddit. I'm using an iPad 4 with iOS 8.4.1 with etasonJb. Till now, I didn't have any problems with my tweaks and all was running smooth until today I rebooted and noticed all my tweaks stopped working. I rebooted it again and nothing happened. Ran etason, same thing. Cydia and my other jailbroken apps still exist and works but none of the tweaks are working/showing in settings. Connected my iPad to my PC and 3u shows my iPad is jailbroken so I don't know what's wrong with my iPad.

Last thing I tried to do was download an app using app admin

But then it didn't work so I rebooted my device and that's when I got stuck in half-jb state
