Hi, I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 8.4.1 downgraded from 10.3.4. Previously I dualbooted with coolbooter to iOS 7 ( traveled a little bit too much ) and had to restore back to iOS 10.3.4 due to an issue. But after doing that I still have the partition somewhere and my iPhone is nearly out of storage ( 3gb available out of 12) what can I do to get that storage back?

I don't think you need to save cryptex1 blobs (and i don't think there is a way) because it was introduced in iOS 16 was what i meant when i brought up cryptex nonce

Chimera is not compatible with Frida. You could try Odysseyra1n, but it is a semi-tethered JB. If you want to have a semi-untethered JB you can also try unc0ver but it doesn't install Procursus bootstrap.

The rear camera on the 3GS is better, but not by much and the iPod has a front-facing camera.
They both have 256MB of RAM IIRC
They both have the same GPU IIRC
The iPod would basically have the specs of an iPhone 4 with a slightly worse screen.
I think that's it other than general size and weight.

Hello all, having issues jailbreaking an iPod touch 2nd gen (MC model, new bootrom, iOS 4.2.1)

Tried greenpois0n and redsn0w on two computers already (both Macs, 10.5 and 10.9) and they all just consistently fail

redsn0w in particular just tosses "Error with SHSH blobs!"
I know I heard somewhere these MC models are more of a pita to work with but I didn't expect it to be this bad

Update, got further with a High Sierra machine but it's now stuck on waiting for reboot; nothing on the iPod's screen

Update 2, nvm, tried redsn0w on the Mavericks machine again and it just worked

I got p0sixspwn to work in a vm for two ipods but on one of the ipods I accidentally added an empty repo that has an https and it won't let cydia update and it won't let me remove the https repo

I did p0sixspwn off of a fresh restore so there's nothing on them, but if I can avoid starting over with deleting the latest iTunes (the latest iTunes has a dfu complaint bug that won't let my ipod touch restore so I have to use one that's slightly older to restore, then move into a vm and do p0sixspwn) id prefer not to go that route unless I have no other option

@unkempt prism i figured it out a few minutes ago i had to do some digging through all the files but the second part to the puzzle was in a file called metadata.plist hidden away and i had to use an app called plist editor pro to view it and i removed the entire section that corresponded with the bad repo and that took care of it. its back to normal and im able to update cydia again.

i literally just went through the p0sixspwn debacle on two ipod touch 4gs a couple days ago, i had to use a vm with windows 7 to get p0sixspwn to work

i tried p0sixspwn on windows 11 and the itunes it wants would restart the ipod but it doesnt run the exploit

on windows 11 because the itunes version is too old to talk to apple servers and the drivers p0sixspwn wants are expired so they dont play nice with modern windows

you basically have to use a vm with windows 7 but once you get it working p0sixspwn literally is one click and it takes minutes

Eyo, im having issues jailbreaking an iphone 5 using iOS 9.3.4 with JailbreakMe 4.0. On this website here,

But at the top of the page, it says that JailbreakMe, when paired with 'UntetherHomeDepot', is capable of doing an untethered jailbreak. I think i missed a critical step here, because i cannot add any sources through cydia right now.

Having trouble getting Jailbreak Me 4.0 to work.

There is as guide on /r/LegacyJailbreak (that might not be allowed here so I won't link). This doesn't require any Apple ID.
Alternatively, you could follow this. This requires you to know the Apple ID of the app to install it again.
iTunes 12.6.5 and older should have this ability in File > Transfer Purchases, but you'll have to authorize your computer for the Apple ID tied to that app first.
