to put it in perspective my best preformance on lethal company after issues arised (a game that can run on practically anything) was only getting 20-30 fps at best and 4-12 at worst on my rtx 4080, i9 12900k, 64gb ram

when before it ran pretty much perfectly on the highest possible settings aside from the occasional camera movement lag

if i switch it just kind of complicates things the fact that my main drive is nearly full and i had to partition off a bit of my second drive which i was already using as storage management for my main OS

Ive read that article. It only said about enabling enhanced broadcasting. And when I done it I can stream only in 1080p. With disabled enhanced broadcasting I can stream 1440p60. Some reddit topic said about that beta obs version with enhanced broadcasting and hvec support so it is why I asked about it. But that what I understand even with that beta Obs enhances broadcasting will be limited to 1080 because i have to be part of beta for hvec? So right now it is not possible to have multiple encoders for better viewers experience?

I don’t know if the screenshot debate is still going, but sometimes I cannot open discord or take a a screenshot because what I’m doing (or trying to capture) requires me to not move my mouse or touch my keyboard. Pointing with the phone camera and opening the channel on my phone is just easier than having to risk ruin/redo what I was doing.

And other times I’m on a PC that is not logged in on discord because of several reasons. Maybe its a work/study pc. Maybe its not even mine

Screenshots are often easy and “correct”, but in a lot of situations taking out one’s phone to take a picture is just as easy and practical. If not more. 🙂

Any coffee drinkers in here? I recently fell into a weird coffee nerd pit and picked up an immersion/dripper prep tool, which is half French press / half percolator. It takes some effort so has net-reduced my coffee intake 🤪 rather than increased it. (My family is overjoyed.)

These are all exceptions to the rule I would say. The problem is when people take a poor quality photo that does not clearly illustrate the given problem or is difficult to parse, but they could have easily taken a screenshot without it causing any problems at all, which is 99.9% of the cases out there even if there are exceptions. Either due to phone convenience being their go-to, laziness, or just not knowing how to take a screenshot properly. Having said that though, if a photo does clearly show enough information to understand the issue, then it is potentially fine.

I used to ask people to take a real screenshot or point them to resources to learn how to do so, but stopped doing it as people have negative reactions 50%+ of the time and it isn't worth going down that road with anyone. So my take nowadays is if I (or someone else) asks someone to provide information for troubleshooting, and they fail to do so adequately, and do not ask for assistance to accomplish what was asked if they are not sure how to do it, then I silently avoid further engagement as I value my time. 🙂

Servers shut down in like 2021 or something, but it still had offline play features. Well, I found out that is has been delisted completely. Even when looking in my library of purchased games, It's listed, but there is no way of downloading it.

Well today I went to the apple section in my electronics store and played around with an imac for about 5 minutes with my brother. And Wow! I was very surprised by just how bad and hard to use it really is. Like it's actually surprising.

hard to grip, tracks poorly (not to mention the sensitivity and acceleration was weird, but that can probably be tweaked), doesn't glide well on a table surface, and the glass top isn't very nice to click or scroll with.

That was also when I learned that apple doesn't have a right click. But that you instead have to hold down control while doing a normal click

I have tried using Linux for a little bit before, and most distros (all I tried, like a few popular ones) function very windows-like in the sense that the buttons mostly do the same, and the "concepts" of different things and actions are the same, like minimizing apps, having a search menu and start menu show up when pressing the windows/home button. So in a sense MacOS is even more different.
