I've seen you posting similar things into the void over the last week and it hurts my heart a little. You really need to just hop into an existing conversation when you feel like you have a thought or opinion to contribute, or start a topical one in a channel or something. People post all kinds of goofy stuff on here especially in #off-topic that you could sound off on, from computer desk setups to what they're cooking to why does Google photo backup suck so much ass.

Maybe you're having good luck with your method and if that's the case more power to ya, but I don't imagine it's super effective on such a busy server and I'd rather see you involved as part of chats with others than fishing for friends solo.

Just downloaded Louis Rossmans new keyboard app on my phone, which is mostly because of its voice input. It doesn't use the cloud or send your data to Google and runs locally. It seems to work pretty well so far. And it's free, though they ask nicely if you'll pay for it but still has full functionality if you don't. It's called Futo.

Hardware might, sure, but OBS doesn't have any code to handle snapdragon hardware encoders. Remember, we either have custom encoders to handle things (NVENC, VAAPI, Apple's Video Toolbox) or we depend on FFmpeg, which usually requires special handling anyway. and updates on the fedora systems too only because it's very convenient to do it that way there. it lets me know bout system updates, I tell it to do them and it just grabs the packages without actually installing them, waitin for the next reboot instead. Or I can put in the checkmark so that it reboots to update everything automatically this one update sesh

I think maybe this is happening because the driver keeps crashing
I don't think the voltage was high enough for the clock speed... the thing is that if Blender is rendering something, it will continue just fine even if the driver crashes XD but I think Firefox will automatically disable upscaling until the browser is restarted (and Twitch doesn't automatically reload the player so you have to annoyingly click the button to reload if the driver crashes, while YT will automatically do it)

To be a streamer these days, especially starting out, you need to be really good at just talking to yourself. To a lot of people this comes really natural. There's a lot of people fighting for a smaller margin of viewers.

Which is also why everyone always tells people "don't start streaming expecting to have viewers".

My view point was always "it'd be neat to have this saved in case something happens, and if anyone wants to watch and talk they can."

Used to do Minecraft speedrunning, and it was also helpful for VODs if I got a personal best for example.

Mainly, I think just enjoying yourself - and having a stream running at the same time - is way more important than production value when it comes to personal streams.

Then each of my PCs (gaming and OBS pc) have 1x 50" 4K display each, and I use those effectivly as 2x2 1080p displays (even got the pixel density to match the 1080p)

oh, i also have an HDTV that I use for Ring Fit as well as capturing my gameplay from the PC. I do display mirroring in Windows. 120hz on my Display Port monitor, and 60hz on the HDTV. The problem I have with that setup: My PowerColor Radeon RX 7600 hates that mode and a ton of games dont want to work with it. On my 2060fe, they were perfectly fine with eachother and games

i -believe- my monitor supports 120hz over HDMI, but i need to find a capture device that can pass through 120hz, but capture at 60hz. None of my current capture devices can handle that

Randomized stats and ability to upgrade things through various means have always been super intense systems, that a lot of people have enjoyed.

I recall The Division, had random stats on it - and when it came out it was all about abusing the f* out of glitches (the game was really broken) to try and get high roll weapons - because for some reason they locked the best weapons, randomized stats, behind content that was capped at how often you could do it.

People killing instance bosses from outside of the instances so they wouldn't count as completed instances, and doing that on repeat for best snipers etc. Insane stuff lol.
