I've got my whole resin printer setup inside a grow tent for just that reason

I'm Canadian and I don't have a shed, so half the year is too cold to just keep a window open, but also the one room I can put the printer has a casement window, so making a convenient window mount is beyond my crafting skills. It's also a HUGE window, so making a thing for it would be a pain

so I put my printer and the wash/cure station inside a grow tent with a massive inline carbon filter and a HUGE blower in it there. Complete negative pressure, handles most of the more toxic shit (I like to think)

I also keep the door closed while printing anyway

It's definitely not the ideal solution, which is to just vent everything outside, but it's what I've got

Honestly like 90% of the safety precautions is for my animals

I've found that I will never own a resin printer. Had someone send me some minis that were resin printed. One of them hadn't been hollowed out properly (no drain hole) and when it leaked I got violently nauseous and I immediate tossed up everything in my stomach. Even sanding cured minis makes me nauseous unless I use my painting hood to exhaust out all the odors. Seems to be something in the resin that triggers this as I've never had any issues with odors / smells and have been in the medical field for over 30 yrs. If I ever get into 3D printing it will for sure be FDM

There's nothing like memtest86+ for vram, but there have been attempts to approximate it. I'm not able to personally vouch for any approach yet.

If you're on nVidia, their high-end cards sometimes offer ECC. Just open the control panel and check for it, owo.

I found alternatives to standard ad blockers that effectively got rid of all the ads on YouTube a while back as well as introducing me to ways to get rid of other undesirable things like calls to action, inline sponsorship ads etc. Worked great, but at some point ad blockers started working again so I started using uBlock Origin again and haven't had any problems with it for a few months now.

Bit of a long-shot guess, but I get bad buffering when I have too many tabs open sometimes? System chugging on over-allocated RAM? (RE: the YouTube thing above.)

Also: Videos sometimes pause when I use the volume slider in the controls (volume slider) just under the video. I think this is a Firefox thing. Maybe only with AutoPlay disabled.

(Which by the way is such a must-have feature for me I can't believe it just isn't a thing in Chrome. But they do also run YouTube, as well as the other dominant ad-tech ecosystem (Google Ads), which also sometimes serves video ads, so... Business incentive not to let you disable AutoPlay for videos...)

I've had a similar problem, but it's easy to monitor the system performance with Task Manager on a second display and what I notice is that neither the CPU as a whole, or any one core is maxed out when the problem occurs. There is no network, disk I/O or other noticeable bottlenecks occurring either. I suspected RAM usage causing swap, but that doesn't happen on my 128GB desktop either. So none of the go to easy bottlenecks to pinpoint seemed to be the cause. Personally, I think what is happening is that the number of tabs that are open eventually maxes out the CPU cache and causes CPU cache thrashing, which is not something that will show up in task manager or other typical performance monitoring utilities.

I've never had Firefox pause when moving the volume. If that happens I would suspect the mouse buttons to be jittery, as that kind of thing will happen with a bad mouse that doesn't register clicks or starts double-clicking due to the switches wearing out.

What I observe on my system for a few years now (not recent) is when the tabs go somewhere over 200-250+ on the laptop, they usually have a lot of YouTube tabs, and the browser gets sluggish and doesn't respond well. Neither the CPU, GPU, RAM, network, VRAM are maxed out ever. Bookmarking 100 or so tabs and closing them, the other tabs seem to work fine, or if not, restarting the browser they work fine.

On my desktop, it's more like 800+ tabs where it occurs.

So I've been managing the problem a bit using the "One Tab" Firefox addon.

For high-quality, no fuss recordings, use the recording quality presets in Simple Mode:

1. In OBS Settings → Output, set the Output Mode to Simple
2. In the Recording section, choose Indistinguishable Quality as the Recording Quality
3. Set your Video Encoder to a hardware encoder, if available
