Yeah. Heck, Messenger+ for MSN used to have it /really/ solid; it has "ignore" and "block". Block really blocked somebody, but Ignore simply made it like you're on DND but only towards that person, so they can't make your taskbar flash, nudge you, silence their rings, and so on. On top of all of that, it also intelligently combined messages for people that were Ignored, so that you didn't have to scroll through like 50 really short tiny messages and instead just saw one big reasonable message.

I loved that feature so much, all of it.

I want multiple different things like this in discord. Instead of "one blocked message, click to show", be like "One message from (list), click to show".

The way I had it explained to me is, most neuro-typical society has very strong outgoing tact filters, and so never have to train their incoming tact filters. This works fine as long as they only interact within their group.

Most nerds/geeks/similar have the opposite; we're used to being bullied, so we have very strong incoming filters, and we're so used to being hurt, that speaking frankly (and sometimes hurtfully) just sounds normal to us. Also not a problem as long as we stay in our own circle.

But when the two mix, then you get a geek with no outgoing filter, meeting someone with no incoming filter, and suddenly everything is /tremendously offensive/, even though none of it is intended as such.

With me, it's complicated; I find much deeper satasfaction in life when I have a low incoming filter but high outgoing, but I happen to have been raised as a geek, so I can switch between these mindsets. It takes hours, though, and sometimes happens without me realizing. There's also a third mindset where somehow the filters go down in both directions, and then we get very moody-looking Kachin that is just angry at everyone for every little thing. xwx...

That one usually happens only when I'm under tremendous stress and am otherwise trying desperately to find a vent somewhere. Yesterday, for example, there was extremely good reason to suspect that a moderator on another server was actively lying to their community, and I'm a deputy mod on that server. I was in the middle of trying to basically martyr myself out so that somebody else could make an accusation while I provide cover, and so I needed to vent somewhere. I tried in e-t and that went over like crap. <w<'

that is another story. That gives obs the ability to update CEF (more frequenty). Beause the old patches for shared texture where not more working and now it gets merged in the core of cef. So no more manual patching from obs side.
